Random Aussie said:If you had asked me before the Australian tour I would have said lots of positive things about Yuvraj. He looked like a fantastic prospect whenever I watched him, brilliant footwork, technique (especially the cross bat shots). I kept asking friends of mine from India why he was not an automatic selection.....saw he hit 6 sixes, didn't surprise me.
Then he rolled into Australia, looked absolutely clueless against every bowler, gave his wicket away when the Test series was on the line, was out of shape, fielded like Ganguly when he is supposed to be a star in the field...fortunately for India they dropped him for Sehwag and did much better from then on.
Then the Yuvi has the nerve before the 2020 game to say they are going to take it up to Australia and "be aggressive with body language" etc. Fails in the 2020 game and then fails in every single game against Australia before making some consolation runs against Sri Lanka. His most useful contribution was being a tough guy and faking that he was gonna throw the stumps down every time he fielded the ball in gully.
And I tune into PakPassion to discover India think the above run of form is good enough to pick him in the Test team for a must win game against a very good sideAs I posted before what sort of message does this send to the other Indian batsman trying to get a Test spot? That a bloke who averaged 5 on his most recent tour gets picked?
There you go - that is what I think of the Yuvi.![]()

would love to see Ishant pull off a Javagal here.
my predictions - saffers collapse for 197 and Ganguly scores a 50 to lead India to win.

Perth93 said:spot on.
the most annoying thing about Yuvi is the popularity he enjoys amongst the kids who make up India's cricket watching population.
for fans like these, who've never ever gone to a test match, cricket is all about hitting sixes, cheerleaders and twenty20 cricket.
most of these guys would rather have 6-sixes-in-an-over than a 2-day atherton special.
Tupac said:i think his best contribution was kick boxing with bhajji after they got haydunce out in the first final which we won.
Hope it comes true. Gangu played superb today. Hopefully the tyrant bhajji and novice chawla will spin a web for the SA batsmen.W63L35 said:My prediction.....
India to win easily.... with Chawla taking bulk of the wickets!
Hah, someone (2 people) actually read that.Indiagem said:Hope it comes true. Gangu played superb today. Hopefully the tyrant bhajji and novice chawla will spin a web for the SA batsmen.

I look forward to tyhe challenge ....for a moment there I was "worried" that S.a would win this series without much effort....well...if they are going to win it now..they need to earn it . I won't miss a ball from here on..that's for sure !

yea he used to do a lot of those after having like 10 dot balls in a row to make the crowd happyShoaib Akhtar's Fan said:Oh yes I forgot to mention how well Ganguly played today. Ever since I was a kid I have enjoyed watching him jump down the track to spinners and seamers alike and hit them for sixes. A real comeback story , this guy is !!

OZGOD said:This looks to be a pretty gripping match eh. I reckon SA absolutely need to prevent India from getting to 300. Then they need to bat out some overs - I think a lead of about 150-200 might be enough on the last day on this pitch.
well let's see if they choke or not
India can knock off anything less than 270.
This pitch isnt half as bad as some others I've seen. Low bouncing, but not too variable. A Lankan wicket, actually. Donnyboy should open with Bhajji to tie them down from the get go.
This is a big opportunity for Kallis to strut his stuff. Lets see what the big man is made of.
