South Africa vs Pakistan | 3rd Test | Centurion | 24/2/13 | Day 3

Both players have barely played a match winning knock in their lives.

Misbah 39 Tests = 3 Hundreds
Farhat 40 Tests = 3 Hundreds

A batsman with 6 hundreds from 80 tests would not make any team.

I'm sure Chaminda Vaas scored as many hundreds in the end

That wicket was also down to Misbah. Misbah built sooooooooo much pressure by blocking everything.
 
Hopefully this will be the last time we see misbah bat. I just don't understand his logic to batting.

He will consume over 80- 90 delivers, score nothing more than 20 and in the process build up pressure and then he never goes on.

ab woh short pitch ko bhi na khele to kya block karta rahe, cut aur pull se to yeh 40 run banaye thay isne lol :))) ab woh bhi na khele lol

positive cricket naam ki koi cheez nahi hoti.... yehi shot 4 hojaata point pe, to saaron ne kehna tha playing positive cricket, and now he is out, he has played a reckless shot lol :)))

sometimes I feel, that there are more excuses for fans and commentators to come out with their excuses, than the players themselves lol

But then you have wlking wkt hafeez on one end and tuk tuk king azhar as one down and YK who is a lottery whether he would come good or not considering all this farhat dun lok back if he can score 40 odds at good SR?

mate I have nothing against cut shot and I understand left handers are inherently prone to that. This was too close to cut as has been case with Farhat all along
 
I called this before the series as Misbah's last as I knew he was going to lose it 3-0.
 
What's up with all the posters. Misbah is one of the most solid bats in the country. How can you expect to throw out every batsman who fails in RSA?

Let him keep his 40 odd runs in his pockets.. there are lot more potential players in pakistan.. the problem is they are not given chances.. even 1/10th times these useless tried and tested players are given..

The bat might be solid but thats about it, does he know how to play a captains knock or a match winning knock or a batsmans knock?

mate 1st of all we dun know there are more potential players look at what happened to jamshed.

2nd the point in the context of this series he has done really good compare to others and you can't take that away
