I could imagine Abbas being potent if this was 1999 where the Dukes was used and seamers were taking bucketloads of wickets with the new ball.

I appreciate keeping the same XI in the warm up games when every side arrives in England but there is no reason why they can't make a couple of rotations like they did with Faheem, Shinwari and Hasan Ali.

Rotating the top 3 of batting is a lot different then rotating bowlers. Bowlers are rotated and rested to keep them fresh and injury free as its real tough on body.

For top 3 you need to give them as much experience as possible especially when it is like ours, they have less than 100 matches of experience between them.

Babar is very talent batsman but not a smart one. Too many soft dismissal while set, most of this tour he never looked troubled by bowlers, end up giving his wicket away.

He need to develop grind and grit. He has too many shorts that ends up cost him. Sometihng he needs to work on. He was in good form and not been troubled by any bowler, yet he did not made any . That is disappointing.

Where as much lesser players like Imam has lot better ability to grind.

Well I wouldn't have him batting in the top 3. For me I would have rested Malik for a game or two earlier in the series and have Shan batting at 4 with Hafeez and Rizwan to occupy the next two spots accordingly, but I appreciate Sarfraz's ban would have made this a complex proposition.

that is what imam did and pak scored 317 in the 3rd odi and now it looks as if that is the need of the hour and the match.. when it is done people complain but when it is needed he s back in the pavilion...
