If we had handled Haris like SA are handling Russouw he would have been a great player till now

AMLA is in supreme touch ... one hand or two hand .... he is timing everything

one handed guide to third man for six

Oh no. Amla has also caved into the slogging culture. The last classical batsman gone before our very eyes.

That last six was unbelievable.

Australia were awesome to win three consecutive ones , do not think that can be ever done again. One such record that stays on.

Windies missed 3rd consecutive by losing 183 final otherwise they were ready for it too

even an amateur player in PS3 doesnt give 8 RPO on consistent basis ..

West indies bowlers are so pathetic

SA are very good at nurturing talent.
AB averaged 27 in his 1st 20 games, and 33 in his first 3 years of test cricket.
He was never dropped once.
Amla, Steyn and Morkel were dropped but and monitored at our high performance center whilst playing franchise cricket. CSA are very good at persisting with players. Even hacks are given ample time to prove otherwise

Apart from 2 centurions ............ third highest contribution is from Extras i.e. 30 runs

Did some quick maths. At this run-rate and if it was a 50 overs match, Proteas would have come close to another world record game +- 429.

You are right i think SA can have a very good to perfect batting line if they drop Behardeen but i think he is in the team because of his handy bowling.

Yeah he assists Dumminy in his allocated 10 overs.
However Wiese would have been a better option for that role, and is clearly a better bat

Sigh, I see Abbot is playing today. On a better note, I also see De Lange is playing. Good times.

We have a WC and were the semi-finalists of the last WC. Stop being butthurt.

That is irrelevant, just like that post had no relevance to the current thread or match.
My golden rule of thumb is to always keep things relevant and stay on topic as much as possible or zip it.
Don't know how you felt compelled to defend a poor post.

Wow interesting, Steyn has missed 88 matches since his deut in 05. Only played 95.

I think he was rested too much between 2008 and 2012. He could have been a great in both formats. But he was rested so much in ODIs he never got a chance to develop his limited overs game. He's played a lot more matches recently and we've seen his class shine through. Could have had around 270 wickets by now.

Quinton de kock has the best hundreds per innings ratio... and guess who is second :amla

Another one sided ODI games, W.I bowling once again were a joke and as per usual the batting is plodding along in response.

I don't want to jinx him, but I have not seen Parnell bowl with such control and discipline in a long while.
Injuries have almost destroyed what could have been a good career.
Hopefully he has enough in the tank to recover
He was amazing initially and awesome at the death with his yokers.

Steve Davies makes another blunder, this time as 3rd umpire.

That was a no ball, clearly foot was over the line.

He should retire.

This is awesome bowling by Parnell I hope he does not drop this level of performance even though he will be a fringe player when the big guns return.
With this bowling he might just have pushed himself above Abbot who has bowled tripe since the t20's.

Evens out I suppose, Ramdin was plumb LBW but that muppet from India refused to raise a finger.

Andre russell probably only W.I player to show any sort of fight all series is once again going down all guns blazing.

Parnell bowling beautifully just missed his 5th wicket because of a drop catch that was an easy catch :(
