Shan Masood dropping a catch this morning, albeit a very hard one.

Very few chances created and need to be taken from Pak pov

Good fielding by Sami at point.

Need our youngsters to be electric in the field.

And a wicket the very next ball. That's what good fielding does. Can draw out a false shot from the batsman.

Asad's catch at slips was pretty solid - atleast in that sense he is fulfilling his potential

That's harsh.

Shafiq has always been a good fielder. One dropped catch doesn't change that.

And you call yourself a Pakistan fan. #smh

Yeah he has generally been a pretty decent catcher so that's harsh. :fz

However the most recent efforts are what count and all I remember is him dropping two catches last match. :(

I'm more mad about Abbas. The guy might've dropped the match today.

Tharanga - 4 Dropped Catches already! (2nd ODI v SL)

Over 3.4 - Rumman Raees to Tharanga, FOUR, edged and bisects keeper and slip. Some swing away from outside off stump, he slashes away from the body. The slip is wide. Sarfraz sticks his left hand out and withdraws. That's years of being next to a conventional slip acting. He should have gone for that

Over 9.6 - Imad Wasim to Tharanga, no run, was that an edge? A sound as Tharanga looks to slash at this length ball outside off. But it could have just been the ball smashing in Sarfraz's glove. He didn't gather it...yes, there was an edge. It's a dropped chance.

Over 11.3 - Mohammad Hafeez to Tharanga, no run, dropped! Shadab Khan puts down a simple one at extra cover. Tharanga steps out premeditatedly and isnt't to the pitch as this spins away from him. Pokes. Chips in the air. Shadab grabs to his left and puts it down

Over 16.4 - Shoaib Malik to Tharanga, no run, dropped at first slip. Babar Azam is woken up by a ball flying in his direction. Get away, Sarfraz is a metre to your right.Tossed up outside off, goes for the big drive but this dips and takes the outside edge. Waist height into the body, poor effort

How many more to come when you just have 219 to defend?

Horrible effort by Pakistani fielders.

The victory yesterday should not paper over the terrible fielding yesterday. Dropping so many catches will prove costly against stronger teams.

Couple of direct hits today and good stuff by Nawaz as a sub fielder.

As I type this Shehzad misfields...

Who is this Baba fielder? :ibutt

Today's match 2nd t20 between Pakistan and Sri Lanka was special.
I have never seen so many direct hits and good saves from Pakistan side ever before.
I am a fan of Pakistan team since early 90s, Pakistan always had problems leaking runs due to sloppy fielding . Had few exceptional fielders like Ijaz Ahmed but fielding as a team sucked big time.

Today I saw all contributing, the Pak XI was on the Lankan batsmen like a pack of hyenas, fielded remarkably well. Grasped several chances, ran almost half of Sri Lankan battingout by hitting the wicket. Played well leaving aside one stumping chance by Sarfraz.

All in all kudosto the coaches Mickey Arthur-Steve Rixon and the captain Sarfraz Ahmed for changing the culture of our team.
