I admire Cook's sheer refusal to quit and know he is just waiting for his return to form but he's in the way now. I think the pressure of being England captain, ten Ashes tests in a row, KP fiasco etc. has finally got to him and he's burned out.

Give the man a rest for six months. I'd keep him just for tests and give the ODI captaincy to Morgan.
