With Sehwag out of the series, India seems to be pretty thin on batting. Yuvraj and Dhoni HAVE to show up today and score some run and make it competitive.

What a run Mendis is having! 23 wicket in 8 ODIs - highest # of wickets in 1st 8 ODI by any bowler.

Oh I so wish Lanka had a busier schedule in the next few months .. but sadly all they have is Bangladesh in December.

Waqar and Deno do not approve Irfan opening. They want Dhoni to open.
 
they could have just made yuvi open i mean hes a sitting duck against spinners anyways.
 
Sangakarra is Zaheer's bunny, always get him out.. Sanga always looks uncomfy facing Zaheer...

I warned yesterday too to keep Bhajji locked at all times except when playing a match. But unfortunately nobody listened! :D

Tony Greig says that Dhoni wanted to bat but reluctantly chose to bowl. :))
 
And this is why Lanka will never be a top team even with great bowling ...
 
it seems that T Greig isn't a big fan of the indian team...perhaps because of his connection with the ICL

Yeh I noticed that too. He was the BIGGEST fan of Indian team - specially Sachin. I'll never forget his comment in Kolkata when Sachin was going out to bat in 1999 that he came all the way from England just to watch Sachin bat. We know what happened on the 1st ball.
I agree, since he ICL connection, he does not sound to excited to talk about Indian team.

Nah doubt it, he is a very big fan and supporter of Sri Lankan cricket, always has been.
 
I still have full faith in Mendis to bring a recovery for the Lankans.

Sri Lanka really need to find some genuine allrounders, and fast, or they can never become a top force in cricket.

I mean just look at their tail! Its wagging with 5 specialist bowlers!

It was getting so humiliating to see one defeat after another, and to hear the sneer in Tony Greig's voice. How I loathe him, right after ARun LOL.

Go India, I did feel it was going to be a good performance from our team today but NOT THIS GOOD :)
 
Now to the bad news, Badrinath may not be able to bat today :(.. I hope Mendis gets some wickets so Badri can come to the crease....

Yeah mustve gotten tired of us handing their a** to them; 1-6 in India, trashing them in OZ :D ...They finally decided to stop bending over to us on a consistent basis as you can see recently...

Shouldve seen his look when Dhoni made Doctrove confirm it to his face that there was no edge off the bat onto the pads like the cheating Lankan was claiming :)) ...Well you can damn well also bet that Pak fans on this forum wont be putting the Lankan's picture as their avatar either :) but they will if SRT raises his finger to a plumb LBW ...

what I dont understand is why go to the 3rd umpire if you're not gonna reverse the decision?

did anyone understand what that was all about? doctrove goes to 3rd ump, dhoni nods his head, but its still not out! I thought 3rd umpire can decide on lbws?

Its not about getting the decision, everyone knew it was out..Dhoni was trying to humiliate the cheating Lankan and that worked, so all is well mission accomplished..
