Herath conceding only 2 runs in his last 2 overs is unacceptable, should have attacked him more.
 
Anyone want pak to declare is crazy because of two reasons, first the more the lead the more chance of our winning because we will not have to score those runs in 4th inning on more difficult pitch, secondly even if we can't win it will make draw very easy to achieve because we will have lesser time to see off. Ideally we should target 140 more runs in next 35 overs are so of next session, at rate of 4, which we are scoring at already. It will mean lead of 230, than we must declare overnight. And leave ourselves 90 overs on wearing 5 day pitch. And it will mean pak loss will be out of question practically.
 
And if we can win this match after being 115/5 i guess it will be on par with that karachi test win after being reduced to 39/6 on first morning. A cricket miracle.
 
I was alive when Chacha Zulfi scored 50 and a strike rate of 100.

lollllllll !! Love it!! Babar scored his 1st 50, so why not expect him to score his 1st 100 too! 130+ more runs from 9th and then 10th wicket partnerships
 
No, if we're not out within the next 15-20 overs, then Pakistan should declare to get 10 overs at them, if we nab a couple out including Sanga, it could be momentous for our chances tommorow of a victory.
 
Don't declare, just carry on until one hour into tomorrow if you can.Then there will be a substantial lead to put pressure on Srilanka

Shouldn't declare now obviously, but if we're not out 15 overs later and we have a lead of over 150, preferably 200 runs, then why not ? Would like to see a couple of Lankan wickets fall today.
 
People who are asking for declaration should retire from watching cricket. Keep on batting as much as u can.
 
Does anyone think we'll get the full 35 overs remaining this session in ?

How do spinners perform on last day of the test at this pitch? I hope zulfi gets a fifer.
 
The best thing to do now is let these guys bat out as many overs as they want to. That way we wouldn't have to face more than a handful of overs before stumps, then we can block it out for a draw tomorrow.
 
Asad Shafiq inning is slap on biased PPers.

Though, I feel tht he should increase his run rate now but please dont be bias against him.

From what I've seen the bias is generally against his repeated inclusion in the ODI team, and that is justified to an extent.
 
one thing which people are forgetting is tomorrow pitch will be day 4 pitch not day 5.
 
For God's sake please don't give strike to Janaid. This guy can't ball, can't field or bat

I am not talking about the overall situation, just the present sitaution. Wih only wicket remaining, it is illogical to block since either batsman can get out anytime.

It is better to strike a few blows and further extend the advantage. What is the use of Junaid's 0 off 12 if he gets out on the next ball.

And as dean said i also don't get what pak is trying to achieve right now by batting the way they are?

Excellent inns from Asad and sirfraz and good to see the tail wag, we need to bowl well now and try annd pick up 2/3 wickets tonight and maybe could still win this game.
 
Ok guys well done with the bat, now we have 3 sessions mean till tea tommarow to bundle out sri lanka in 2nd inning and we have about 250 runs in which to get out sri lanka in 2nd inning, which will leave around 130 runs to get in last session tommarow, and i think if that situation arise, we should go for win, but do you think misbah and co. will go for win?
 
Junaid Khan's reverse sweep is happening more often now. I like it.
