Kapil-paaji was just an average swing bowler. If he wasn't an all-rounder, wasn't +70mph, and if he wasn't India's only decent Test 'strike' (all relative) bowler, he wouldn't have played more than 10 Test matches. At least in the other Test nations.
He came good against the West Indies, but, for God's sake, look at his records.
And in ODIs he was quite crappy - not by Indians standards, of course, who voted him, in 2002, as their greatest cricketer.
Ironically, Kapil-paaji has the beautiful record of the most Test draws.
Why win, when you can draw - that's a World Champion mentality.
