Bangladesh batsmen facing the likes of Amir, Asif Akhtar etc will find it harder to score than any team facing the likes of Shahadat etc. The earlier BD fans realize that the better.

When was that 2003? IIRC we nearly beat them in Multan even then :)))
If Rafique wasn't a gentleman then we would have won.

And please Tamim, Imrul, Zunaed, Shakib, Mushfiq, Riyad >>> Javed, Mehrab, Bashar, Ash, Alok, Sujon etc.

So what? Stop bringing irrelevant points into discussion.

what i was trying to say is, we do not deserve to be arrogant yet simply because we are not winning games.

tamim and shakib are the only consistent players, others are not consistent.

i was not talking about 2003 test match, i was talking about in general. pakistan beat us in 2010 also, salman butt did good against our bowling attack in that match.

So not winning a game in 2010 is irrelevant, when according to yourself you guys are much better than your older team. And have one batsman who in your own words is better than half of Pakistani side.

If thats the case, I am really worried about you and Bengali side, when will you guys start to win?

So you'll become arrogant as soon as you start winning? ;-)

will i be arrogant? no, probably.

will some people be arrogant? it is possible.

Firstly the discussion is about Bangladesh and Pakistan in Test cricket. We have played India, England (top Test teams) and New Zealand away for Tests in 2010 and have done reasonably well. And Wasi check Pakistan's recent Test record.

i agree with equinox that our current bangladeshi team is better than the previous team. i started supporting bangladesh team after 2007, before that i used to support pakistan and australia simply because bangladesh was not good enough.

pakistan beat new zealand and drew the test series.

pakistan almost won in the sydney test but they screwed up.

they did fine.

Key word.

Yayyyyyyyy. Finn has been the best of a bad bunch today. let's get them on the ropes by the close of play.

127/1 is not a bad score at all, it goes to show, England's bowling lineup is not at all threatening

Nope, it shows Bangladesh have got one of the best batting line up in the world. :D

it is also possible that england takes bangladesh lightly.

If they are, its a big mistake. Never take anyone lightly in test cricket.

subcontinent style pitch, solid opening partnership, poor new ball bowling. 100-0 can happen to any bowling attack. before the sweeping statements, remember the 'not all that threatening' bowling attack is part of a team that has had a superb year and a half, and counting.

collapse has begun. told ya.

Tamim >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Mushy = Shakib >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> every other player in Bangladesh.

tamim is so good watching him bat for the first in my life i feel sad for the 71 partition.

When the going gets tough...Equinox gets going :ibutt

Good one. :))

This is a dead match anyway. Rain predicted for the next three days. I have my A-Levels next week as well. I was just sticking around for Tamim's century.

I wouldn't be so sure of the draw. I'm oop north and the repeatedly forecasted showers don't seem to be appearing, except last night for an hour when it absolutely chucked it down. even then it was like having a hot shower, and it dried up quickly enough. If England really pile them out there could still be a result.

how many to avoid the follow on? hehe

bangladesh needs 220 to avoid follow-on. probably bangladesh will score more than 220.

Yeah, this time they survive the follow-on because of sparkiling ton for Tamimi :D but colapse still on. :13:

Oh well Tamim can't do everything for BD.

Bangladesh only depend on Tamimi and thats not enough in Test cricket everyone will have to contribute. Tamimi done his job now time for others to do their jobs.

Please stop calling him that :|

I think Bangladesh very soon bundled out for 218 just 2 runs behind from follow-on and England will give Bangladesh another go.

Massive wicket; Shakib gone and BD will fold for under 200 ;-)

Equinox our dear friend, where art thou? We miss you!

He'll come back when someone gets a 50 with his usual 'BD are better than Pak etc etc etc'. It has been literally Tamim vs England.

Don't know about the rest of you but I'm moderately pleased that order has been restored :inzi

Tamim is there everything there Tamim gone everything gone. Bangladesh still need 35 runs to avoid the follow-on.

BD collapsing yet again but Tamim showed his class one more time with a superb knock.

Things not looking better with Mohammad 'tailender' Ashraful batting.

There are pretty ridiclous rest of them will see some slient now.

The problem is Bangladeshi's tend to get overly cocky when they do well; turned me off supporting them a while ago.

i think bangladesh needs to counter attack, or else they can end up with less than 220. they should start playing shots.

Just reading this thread through and lol at the over reaction. Bangladesh are not on par with Pakistan at all.

Thats what im saying they talking just ridiclous here.

Nah. That's what got them into trouble (look at Shakib's stroke). Both the batsmen are not set. They need to dig in.

Maiden test wicket for Shahzad, a shame it wasn't a good batsman but he'll take it. Ashraful out.

200/6.

Ashraful gone Shehzad strikes. Bangladesh in trouble.

Well yeah I guess some do. But most probably dont. You can't hold that against the team.

Please do not even mention Bangladesh in the same sentence with Pakistan.

Over under 19 team would probably beat Bangladesh by an innings ina test match.

We got history, we got great bowlers and more then decent batsmen.

One more down now Shehzad got the second wicket.

Bangladesh | 7-210

:27:

this is a collapse of England proportions!

Shehzad get his third wicket here. Shafiul gone.

Bangladesh | 8-214

4 runs to follow on or 1 wicket to take? That we even have a chance to enforce it is PATHETIC!

Tamim Iqbal has become to Bangladesh what Andy Flower was to Zimbabwe in the nineties. Bangladesh are fortunate to have him, but he's languishing in the general mediocrity of the team.

Dreadful performance this, really should have made use another brilliant opening partnership. What a waste.

*** has happened!!?!??!??!

LOLOLOLOL

I saw them at 165-2 or something like that. When are they going to hold on advantages they've got, they throw them away faster and harder than we throw our advantages away...

What a session for England 120 runs and 9 wickets its westfull opening partnership for Bangladesh.

we just took 10-90 in a SESSION! ridiculous!!!

BD 216 all out - will follow on

Swann with anothe 5fer

Stumps - Day 2 | Bangladesh | 216 | 54.1 Overs | Swann 5-76, Shehzad 3-45

Lol, the Tigers are all out for 216 and the funny part is that this was not surprising.
