So far, Suryakumar Yadav has captained India in T20Is in 18 matches, winning 14, losing 3, and tying 1. He is off to a memorable captaincy stint.

While talking to a local sports media outlet, Suryakumar shared his thoughts on leading the national side:

"I feel I don’t just want to be a captain; I want to be a leader."

"When you step onto the ground, just leave your body and enjoy what’s happening."

Speaking about the moment he was appointed as India’s T20I captain, he said:
"It was an emotional moment. I called my family, and we had a nice chat. Then I took a deep breath, felt that moment, and celebrated."

"We sat at home, cooked some food—with the help of my wife—and enjoyed the evening. It was fun and a very special feeling."

Is he the main captain or just captains in bilaterals? I.e will he be captain in T20 world cup

Team is doing well. His own performances are very bad. But he will not be under scrutiny as long as team is winning.

As of now he gets a pass for his lean patch because his team is winning everything. The day team starts losing he will be in hot seat.

In ipl he will have some time to get his form back.Again india have t20 matches in August against bng and there after t20 wc preparations will begin against aus, sa .so i hope he will be ready for the imp matches.if necessary,he should get his 3rd position back instead of tilak.

As a captain, Surya is winning games but his own performances have been poor. as a top-order batters, he should have done a better job than that

Hi obsession with that scooped six has cost his wicket a few times. Sometimes he tried to scoop balls that were not there and got out. Another popular mode of dismissal is getting caught at short midwicket trying to whip through onside. I think Babar has similar pattern of dismsisal
