if Nazir had been playing, he would've top edged to second slip in the 4th over and the catch wouldn't have been droppedsultanator said:Wow, slow start. If Nazir was playing, he would be on 30 from 5 instead of 5 from 30, right AZ![]()

Random Aussie said:The wicket is green, it is windy and cold. Geeves is the official 12th man for Australia in the Perth Test - he is a good bowler.
Following on from the NZ tour, it must be somewhat pleasing to Pak fans to see the application displayed by these 2 when opening. Except for those who want Nazir of course.
Ahmed Zulfiqar said:Over 13.4: MacDonald to Butt, two runs, ball kicks from short of a length, takes the glove and rolls toward fine leg, no fieldsman down there so Paine forced to chase the ball from behind the stumps
touch pitch
see, this is what I don't like about our current approach, which was a problem in the 3rd test against NZ as well. fine if you're trying to cut down on shotmaking but at least look for singles. there's loads of space available.sultanator said:Yikes! sultanator said:I think MoYo made a mistake dropping himself, expect nothing from Misbah. I presum the Akmal bros will have to save the day again. Hopefully Fawad is less pressurised at 4, i think he should be at 6, Misbah at 3 and Bhanja at 4.

gollumbird said:LOL...man these guys are soooooooooo slow...19 runs in 15 overs in a warm up game? What kind of 'warm up' is that?
Ahmed Zulfiqar said:dude it's a practise match, who cares about the result...the main objective is for the batsman to get some time in the middle and the bowlers to get some match practice
12thMan said:And get used to the heat not just the pitch. Australia will be 90+ degrees when matches start and not the blanket wearing NZ days
Ahmed Zulfiqar said:SB seems to have settled now, is rotating the strike
gollumbird said:Too slow for me, a single run every 3 overs is not 'rotating the strike'. If they are having so much trouble with 'Class B' bowlers, I can't imagine the situation come Boxing Day.

Ahmed Zulfiqar said:did you read what I posted for your previous post?
gollumbird said:Yes it is very difficult for the batsmen woooweeeee......but but but this is a warm up game.....and the OZ attack will be twice as good. Isn't it a better idea to tax yourself somewhat and play a few runs and get your feet and timing going? They are just blocking, edging and missing right now.
Random Aussie said:I would have said this is a intelligent cricket from Pakistan.![]()
The weakness is at the top of the order so 2 of them are getting a good long look at the conditions and not worrying too much about scoring runs.
Would you rather they were 5/80? Because if they went for their shots thats probably about where they would be on this pitch this morning....
Ahmed Zulfiqar said:I'm sure they would play shots if it were that easy, both are natural stroke makers...sometimes you have to respect the bowlers too, especially in conditions that are in their favour
He is just exposing the bowling. They cannot even get an edge. Terrible, BTW how do you know?Ahmed Zulfiqar said:SB's dying to get himself out...

Salman Butt (lhb) 80 5437 290 41.50
Imran Farhat (lhb) 126 8579 242 42.68
This is the FC average and highest score of our two openers. Pretty good, except their real averages are 10 or more points lower at international level. What a pity!!
kashif77 said:so butts been out twice so far ?
Ahmed Zulfiqar said:yes, they're playing a double wicket match
I am sure that has been on their mind for last one hour and a half. Australia probably has better desi foodAhmed Zulfiqar said:5 mins till lunch...
Ahmed Zulfiqar said:Over 20.1: Drew to Butt, FOUR, lovely cover drive, easily th eshot of the morning, smashed through the off side
absolutely breathtaking stroke from SB, the lad simply oozes class
mindless slogging said:Butt saab and Farhat best not take all the strike for the whole day and leave the middle-order undercooked.
I have a bad feeling that in a tour match of all places they will block out the overs and do their job. But the middle-order may not get much. 25 overs gone already and they are still going.
No criticism, just an observant analysis.![]()
Monsee said:Are you watching it live...if not then you must be making up these comments just to make Butt-aaah look good...good luck with that!
On a side note, this is purely world class:
*
Pakistan 0/32 (24.0)
*
* PKF Tasmanian Tigers won the toss and elected to bowl
Current Run Rate: 1.33
*
Batsmen R B 4s 6s S/R
Imran Farhat* 12 68 1 0 17.65 [Wagon Wheel]
Salman Butt 14 76 2 0 18.42 [Wagon Wheel]
This Partnership: 32 Runs From 144 Balls (R/R: 1.33)
I honestly think that our batters should play as much as possible. Our bowlers are already tired. No need for them to bowl. Bat for 3 days if possiblekashif77 said:I think Akmal needs to set a rule ..u only get to play 100 balls and then u must retire.
This is flipping ridiculous.

Even that has not detered the specialists and their concentration. They will have to dive in without a shower as there is only enough for 10 people (18 plates to be exact)12thMan said:Management has ordered a special Boti Kabab for the team for lunch.
