Tough loss for the Eagles, at times Foles looks great, he also threw some bad passes, Cardinals look locked in to win the NFC West however they still have to play Seahawks (x2) and 49ers (x1).

Rooting for Washington to pull off the upset tonight so the Eagles don't fall too back in the division.

They're playing Dallas tough so far.

That was some phainta that the Pats dished out to Peyton Manning and the Bumcos eh :)))

And what a catch by Gronk!

It was one epic phainta.

Was in Denver and the downtown bars were in a meltdown :))

Eagles gotta roll with the Sanchize going forward. Not like Foles was lighting it up this year. Let's see if a change in environment helps Mark.

Eagles play tomorrow night. Hoping for a Jags update of Dallas. Can't believe they're starting Romo.

What happened to the Eagles :uakmal I had to listen to Eagles fans running their mouths about how Eagles will trash the Cowboys and win the east in a canter. Another seasson closes its door on the Eagles. :mj

Such a disappointing after the high of being 9-3 via the dismantling of Dallas on Thanksgiving.

Oh well...next year I guess.

From a neutral fan's perspective, Aaron Rodgers vs Tom Brady would be awesome to watch.

I'm still doubtful of our Offensive Line and the lack of playmakers at the wide out position.

But our defense and the Golden Boy Brady should hopefully get us through.

Really, really, really don't want to play Seattle.

It will likely be a Patriots - Bronco's AFC Championship game - This time Brady gets it with home field advantage. I expect the Packers to go to Seattle - and win... making it Brady vs Rogers. And Rogers will come out victorious.

Eagles blindsided the Cowboys with their short passes which they executed brilliantly that week. The cowboys were better prepared the next time when they stopped the run and the screen passes and forced Sanchex to throw deep. Also Philly plays man to man with a weak secondary and blitz all the time. You are bound to be burned at some stage and good teams like Seattle and Dallas are not gonna miss those opportunities.

We saw Panthers beat Cards and the Ravans beat Stealers. What do you think of tonight's games DET-DAL and CIN-IND

I cannot see the Lions upsetting Dallas, Stafford overrated and is 0-16 on the road against teams with winning records. Cinci will miss AJ Green and given how flaky Dalton is I think the Colts prevail

Not expecting any major shocks in the divisional round. The Ravens have the best chance of upsetting the Pats, Seattle will overcome Carolina in a defensive battle, Aaron Rogers will shred the Cowboys defense, and I think Peyton will get the better of his former team.

Hope Green Bay tears Dallas apart. Can't believe that DPI flag was picked up.
But is that the only reason the Lions lost though. Dallas had several horrible calls againts them. Running into Lions kicker was called but same thing happened to Cowboys kicker and was not called. Also don't forget the receiver for Lions pushed the DB twice and also grabbed his facemask and didnt let it go. Probably thats why the refs picked up the flag.
It was also an ungly game for both sides. I feel both sides didn't play as well as expected. But anyway Packers are going to beat Dallas black and blue.
My prediction: Packers, Seahwaks, Ravens, Broncos win

I wonder if Manning is done. His level dropped off from his very high standards and with the Bronco's cap issues Elway has some choices to make. John Fox may not survive either.

As for Championship predictions, I'm going to stick my neck out and say that the Green Bay packers will defeat mighty Seattle and then beat out the Patriots in the Superbowl.

John Fox fired. I wonder if Manning stays now if he's closer to the offensive coordinator who's rumored to take over.

Either Seattle or Green Bay vs New England would be an awesome Super Bowl.

Fox is overrated so is Manning. They should have stuck to Tbone

Seahawks going to the Superbowl! Amazing comeback from 16-0 at halftime to win 22-19. Russell Wilson take a bow.

Sorry that was the score just before the Packers tied it up. 28-22 final score after a couple of epic throws from Wilson.

Seattle was clutch and defense is a part of the game, but so is offense.

Aaron Rodgers should have had a chance in overtime as well.

The Packers threw that away though. So many chances to put the game away and they didn't. Burnett sliding on the intercept when he could have run another 20 yards, Bostick trying to catch the onside kick and looking like an idiot when it bounced off his head when all he had to do was block for Nelson, getting faked for a TD by the Seattle punter, Wilson's Hail Mary 2 point conversion that HHCD didn't make a play at, and then Wilson's Hail Mary pass for the winning TD. They had so many chances to put the game to bed but they played safety first and tried to kill the game with 5 mins left.

I agree. Nobody's crying for Green Bay but the overtime rules just don't seem right to me.

Agree. It's basically sudden death (FG's excluded) where whoever wins the coin toss has a big advantage. Should give the teams a chance to respond.

What would be fairer is to play 2 6 min periods and winner is whoever has the most points at the end. I'm guessing that in the past they probably had a lot of stalemates where games went on for hours so they made it sudden death.

Agreed, although they are better than they were a few years ago where it was first team to score. Packers fans will be slitting their wrists because they won't have a better chance to win a superbowl.

I think Seattle will now go on repeat and then 3-peat at Levi's in Superbowl 50.

Michael Sam is keeping his hopes of an NFL career alive.

Michael Sam is continuing his quest to become the first openly gay player to make an NFL roster by training in a Dallas suburb.
Sam is working at the Michael Johnson Performance training center in McKinney, Texas, the Dallas Morning News reported.

Sam is training at the center, run by the four-time Olympic gold medalist, in preparation for the NFL's new veteran free agent combine in March. Sam was spotted by reporters who were brought in to observe NFL draft prospects preparing for the regular scouting combine.
Sam, who did not speak to reporters, has been seeking NFL employment since being released by from the Cowboys' practice squad on Oct. 21.

A defensive end out of Missouri, Sam was drafted in the seventh round by the Rams last year but was cut at the end of training camp. He signed with the Cowboys on Sept. 3 but was unable to earn a promotion to the active roster.

TBH I feel like they are making his sexual orientation such a big deal in reporting and it may be scaring away teams that don't want to deal with the media circus.

Oh look, Patriots cheating again.

Oh look, all the media talking heads from ESPN and Fox and the Indianapolis Star and others who were happy to get stuck into New England when the allegations came out are now backtracking with grovelling apologies.

Stunned when I saw this. McCoy is only 26 but I did not known that he was due $11million so salary cap plays a huge hand. I don't think this sort of thing would have happened 10 years ago, Eagles would have franchised him or got him to sign a big new contract but the running back value wise is not what it once was. Eagles werent as dynamic when they lost DeSean Jackson. Big win for Buffalo Bills.

Love Shady but I think Eagles came out the winner in this, now all we need to do is sign: Suh, Maxwell, Mccory, Woirlds, Lupati & Maclin and off we gooo... Eagles is not drafting Mariota its a smoke screen..

Holy crap, this last hour of NFL News...

HorrifiedFace.gif

Ngata to the Lions to replace Suh it looks like.

OZGOD, are you a Pats fan? :)

You think we can sign Revis? Speculation was that it was between them and the Jests for Revis.

Well I live in Boston so yes I am. I don't think Revis will stay. He will probably return to the Jets where he made his name for his final hurrah. They let Revis go to free agency which suggests they don't want to pay what he is asking for. Browner is a free agent as well as is Wilfork.

And Mevis just left for the money.

Lost a ton of key pieces.

No Wilfork. No Vereen. No Mevis. No Ayers.

I think we should go after Reggie Bush or Roy Helu.

Andre Johnson might also be serviceable if he takes a pay cut.

If we get the Jets for tampering, we might an extra pick :))

I think with our strong linebacking core, we might as well change to Bears style defense and in invest in the front 7. Secondary is neutered at this point. Malcolm Butler will be a wildcard. If he and Dennard get it together, we might be able to be serviceable in the back.

Revis is a big loss and the Boston media aren't happy. We just lost the best corner in the game. Though I think Revis really wanted to finish his career back in NY.

whatsup with the eagles?

they got anyone lined up in the draft?

He chose money over legacy. Most likely this was his last pay day.

He'll still be our bunny.

Biggest move is Jimmy Graham trade to the Seahawks. The Saints get centre Matt Unger and the hawks first round draft pick.

Pretty much giving Seattle the next 2 superbowls.

Craziest two days in the NFL that I can remember.

The emotions of being an Eagles fan this past week have been insane. There is nothing that you can put past Chip Kelly and the front office at this point.

Who knows if they'll trade up now to get Super Mario or not.

Sam Bradford - THE FRANCHISE.

Are you hyped Gotham?!!!!!!!

In his defense, when he played for Oklahoma, I always thought he would be a star. He was deadly, and I mean Brady-levels deadly, accurate with the ball.

The Rams never had a solid O-line or the weapons to make him evolve, but maybe Philly might be the place. He is pretty injury prone, so Chip is pretty much going all in here.

Bradford has not looked good at any point with the Rams. Shaun Hill and Austin bloody Davis looked more effective than Bradford.

Rams picked up Fairley, just play with 5 D-lineman as our base defence and try to kill every QB before half time.

Also I think Nick Foles will serve you well BM, however he needs a good Oline, he fumbles the ball when there is a defender breathing in his personal space..

BIG MAC:

Who would you choose if you could do it over, Fletcher Cox or Michael Brockers ?

I haven't watched that many Eagles games so I can't really comment on Cox.

On the news that Tebow is working out with the Eagles though...

GET READY!

Tebow for the Eagles??

PHILADELPHIA - The Eagles' unpredictable offseason continued Monday when the team worked out Tim Tebow, the polarising quarterback who has not played in the NFL for the last two seasons. The Eagles did not comment on the workout.

No deal was announced with Tebow, and ESPN reported that the Eagles would not sign him at this time. But the mere mention of his workout became breaking news in the NFL, which speaks to Tebow's popularity.

Tebow, 27, was a 2010 first-round pick who last played for the New England Patriots in the 2013 preseason. Tebow spent three seasons with the Denver Broncos and New York Jets from 2010-12. He was the starting quarterback for the Broncos when they reached the playoffs after the 2011 season.

Tebow completed 173 of 361 (47.9 percent) career passes for 2,422 yards with 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He also rushed for 989 yards and 12 touchdowns. He won 8 of 14 games as a starting quarterback, with a 1-1 postseason record. Tebow spent last season as a college football analyst.

The former Florida star won the 2007 Heisman Trophy and two national championships with the Gators. He lost out on the 2008 award to Sam Bradford, who is now an Eagles quarterback.

Tebow's quarterbacking career was cut short by an unorthodox throwing style and a lack of production as a passer. He was effective as a running quarterback, although Eagles coach Chip Kelly cited Tebow in 2013 when he explained the distinction between wanting a running quarterback and a quarterback with the ability to run.

"We did not run the same offense that Florida ran with Tim Tebow, where we're running quarterback power," Kelly said. "If there is an opportunity because a defensive end bends it and there's green grass and you can go get a first down, hook-slide real quick, give the ball to the official, get up again and get ready to chuck it.

"In this league you need to be able to throw the football and that's the first skill set that we're looking for. Repetitive accuracy is the number one quality we're looking for."

Accuracy has not been a hallmark for Tebow. He has been working with private quarterback coach Tom House, who also has trained Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

There was speculation that Tebow would need to switch positions to continue his NFL career. The Eagles evaluated Tebow as a quarterback, according to several reports.

Tebow ends up on the Eagles. Let's see if he makes the team.

In other news, NFL schedule expected to be announced. Wonder if they'll open vs the Pats on opening night.

Tebow will be cut pretty soon

Prolly Chip's way of telling everyone how unhappy he is with the QB situation :))

Rumors are indicating a 3 way trade between Titans, Chargers and Eagles for Mariota, Rivers and a few draft picks.

Being an Eagles fan has been too much this offseason. Another major event tonight and whether they'll get Mariota or not.

It was what I expected. A lot of mud but nothing definitive. Circumstantial evidence with nothing definitive. The basis of what they came up with were from these texts:

Here are the texts. Judge for yourself:

McNally: Tom sucks...im going make that next ball a **** balloon

Jastremski: Talked to him last night. He actually brought you up and said you must have a lot of stress trying to get them done...

Jastremski: I told him it was. He was right though...

Jastremski: I checked some of the balls this morn... The refs **** us...a few of then were at almost 16

Here’s the investigators’ interpretation of the texts:

...we believe that the most plausible reading of this exchange, based on context and the evidence, is that Brady “brought up” McNally, told Jastremski that McNally “must have a lot of stress trying” to get the footballs “done” and that Jastremski told Brady that it was stressful for McNally. Jastremski‟s text message thus attributes to Brady knowledge of McNally‟s efforts to get the footballs “done” and the stress involved.
