As far as I'm concerned, there's no such thing as pessimism or optimism.

Study regularly and daily, you won't need energy drinks and drugs during exams.

I've learnt that pessimism is the way to go.

If things work out, which is rare, then you'll be pleasantly surprised. If not, then its no big deal because you were expecting it anyhow.

Being an optimist is just setting yourself up for heartache.

Which is why your posts offend people so much.

The picture is muddy, gray and everything in between, not the black or white fantasy you're painting.

I would have agreed with you a few years ago, sir - but I feel differently now..

Sativa will keep you awake. It will heighten the senses so you absorb everything you read.

The last time i was with someone who's 'senses were heightened', i held up 2 fingers and said how many fingers am I holding- he said 3 toes...

Hope. It is the quintessential human delusion, simultaneously the source of your greatest strength, and your greatest weakness.
Nothing wrong with being an optimist - just don't overdo it.

If I think we've absolutely no chance of winning the World Cup, it's not pessimism. It's based on the mediocrity of our team but of course miracles can happen but very rarely.

From what I've learned from the strongest people in my family (my sick uncle comes to mind) - were the ones who were hopeful enough to lift another's spirits despite everything going wrong at that time.

You'd beat me up? :shakib

Depends. Are you taller than me (5.7")?

Realistically, I could either punch you, grab you by the collar and push you, or throw a glass of water at you. But I haven't done any of that in real life, so I'm not sure if I WOULD do that if we were face to face.

What's left is passive aggression. I could shout at your for a bit, but I wouldn't like it myself, so I might not do that.

Ultimately, I could be really, very cold and ice you out.

Either of the second or third options.

^ I think that's a lie :misbah (At the 5.11" bit)

If it's 5.11" with a skinny "single-phasli" frame, then I might just punch you.

Yep :) - the "Multani touch" in me :P

either economics(actuary, accountancy etc.) or engineering(structural, mechanical etc.)

and 96, you had it coming man ;-)

Assuming you like Maths, maybe you should pick Further Maths as well for an AS at least, because Uni's like it.

maths is life man...and most places I know say that if you wanna do further maths, it must be an extra AS so I'll have to do 5 AS's, allow that lol. I do Additional Maths anyway which should count for somethin

Really, alot of Uni's say have 3 A-Levels, and they'd like it if you have Further for AS. Don't think it would, the first Unit you do in A-Level Maths is harder than Additional :uakmal

Yep! Its what made them competitive initially. The Plaza Accord, however, changed things for them
