Exactly!
At night more oxygen is taken in for respiration!
More oxygen is not taken in. The amount of oxygen given out decreases.

During the day, photosynthesis does not only neutralize the rate of respiration, but it's higher, which is why oxygen is given off.

I dunno whether its right or not but in humans, we need a constant environment-ion, water, sugar content due to homeostasis but in plants it varies..at times there's more Glucose levels than CO2 levels. As a result of this at certain points there will be less...
Did you read my question? Do you have an answer?

I think someone should make a thread for studying. It would be a nice place for nerds to hang out and study. You could use that place to study till your hearts content.

Believe it not, contrary to popular belief, PakPassion has gotten me to study. :D

"Because respiration uses oxygen to produce energy in the form of ATP which is used to carry out activities".

Plants' respiration rate mainly depend temperature and amount of water available and that is why it varies greatly.

Desert plants will obviously respire at a different rate compared to those in rain forests.

So at least I got the temperature part right. :(

Cambridge Examiner.

It must be a controlled experiment in which various factors that influence the rate of respiration have been kept in check. can you quote the question?

You are reading the question incorrectly.

By the way that Sachin smiley is very creepy. I think that smiley shows more character then he did off the field.

Maybe I did, but everybody I know?

It was in my exam, the one this past Thursday.

I'm sorry but you completely misread the question. Surely this would have been free marks if you didn't.

yep, rates of photosynthesis relys on availability of Temperature, Light and CO2 levels. Too much of one can mean the other one becomes a limiting factor
Still doesn't answer my question. The question was about respiration, not photosynthesis.

And it's spelt "relies", not "relys". ;-)

I seriously hope I didn't. Pray for me, pleeeaaase. :(

But if I did, why couldn't anyone else give me the answer?

Nope over here, I don't have any friends in Pakistan :))

Anyways don't stress, it's done. In'Sha'Allah you'll get A/A*

I thought maybe you had cousins here or something. :/

Anyway, don't you guys get different exams?

I hope I get at least an A, InShaaAllah, A*'s impossible without this question. This one question has messed up everything.

Hmm yh, but I don't think any of them are doing O-Levels 2nd year.

Yh but he goes the 2nd part of the question doesn't make sense.

In'Sha'Allah.

Privatisation may be beneficial but it depends on the change in the size of competition.

I kind of get it now
A wire moving in a magnetic field can induce[create] an electric current. This principle is used in electricity generation, but it is also used in transformers to change the potential difference of the electricity. Modern electronic devices tend not to use 230 V mains electricity, and therefore switch mode transformers allow the potential difference to be reduced.
