Getting a bad feeling that AJ's career in WWE might end tonight. Just feels like a very on-brand thing for 4/10 to do. Would definitely be the biggest booking maleficence from him so far if it happens.

Let's see what they do. The bar has been set so low because of the last few Rumbles (even some of the ones where Vince was in-charge) that at this point fans will just lose their minds if Jericho and Powerhouse Hobbs show up and we get Brock face-to-face with the likes of Gunther and/or Oba Femi.
Another dud rumble. "start of new era and blah blah again"

If this was the end of the road for AJ in WWE, it was done in the worst worst way possible. Makes Cena's farewell look legendary.

One of the worst Rumble’s I’ve ever watched. Just popped it on randomly. That was terrible! WTH was that??

Lesnar eliminated whilst USO doing his long fruity bouncy entrance? Crowd fixated on USO cringe whilst one of the wrestling GOATS still in top physical form eliminated and not drawing any dramatic reaction?

Pathetic!

Rumble felt so disjointed. So many spots spent on silly names. Would have been better to give Dominik a spot as he could have atleast drawn some heat.
Bringing wrestlers from AAA to Saudia (where fans have no clue about AAA) for getting buried is just sooo cringe.
The only times crowds really popped was for Brock, Cody, Roman, Randy and Knight. Oba did good as well. But that 5 names you know the crowd will pop for even if it was getting held in Alaska.
Gunther choking out Roman at the ending stretch of Rumble was hilarious honestly. Felt like he didn't know Rumble is won by throwing the opponent out. Even Cole trying to justify on commentary didn't validate it.
Atleast we can now look towards Roman vs Punk main event at Mania which it should have been last year as well.

They had spots for Mr Iguana, La Parka, Penta, Dragon Lee, Logan Paul, but not for Balor, Dom, Hendry or Omos. Another funny thing was treating Fenix like a jobber, entered and got eliminated like he was Santino.
Last year the star power was able to carry the match to a decent level before (stupid choice for) the winner destroyed it.

this guy took on heel Cena's ambition of "ruining wrestling" to another level.
That’s what I was saying since that retirement tour too lmao.

Nothing he did would top what triple doofus is doing rn.

One of the worst rumbles of all time if not the worst. At least Seth didn’t win as surprise guest or jelly roll throwing Roman out the ring

Can't rule out the possibility of Cena and AJ deciding to retire knowing they won't be able to do anything in Nose's second reign of terror.

The only silver lining is Roman coming back to reassert his dominance. And hopefully he'll book his run with Heyman like he did his Bloodline stuff. Would take Roman booking the top card over Nose every day.
And Roman will probably elevate his opponents as well with his feuds like he did for Jey, Sami, etc.
The way I see it, a politicking and angry Roman is 100 times better than top card being booked by this Nasal Cancer.

Seth or Logan winning would have certainly made it the worst Rumble ever.
How does Logan get into the final 4 of Royal Rumble every year since 2022?

Because h is a simp for money. He’s so scared. Look how everything is so overproduced. Everything is about ads, sponsorships, and in doing so being a cuck for likes of Logan.

Vince must really regret all this… biggest project of his life being flushed down the porcelain throne slowly every year

Not sure if I can fully fathom why they decided to end AJ's career in this way but it was absolutely terrible and incredibly unnecessary. I don't care if it was AJ's idea. There are ways to convince people. You're the boss after all. Only thing I hope is for AJ to show up in AEW. But if its his personal decision to step away then I can respect that too. He has been one of the greatest wrestlers of the modern era

The Rumble match itself was incredibly disappointing. It was good by the end when it was down to the final two. But the match itself was predictable and poorly booked. Not that I am surprised. Triple H is not capable of booking anything more.

Wow you guys are harsh critics. I enjoyed it. Im really intrigued to see where the stories go from here. And I can wait for Rollins to come back. And give me more Oba Femi. Loved Jevon in their. I mean he's old enough to be my kid lol..so I love watching the youngsters. Give me more trick too. And yes more Drew. I wanna see him more ruthless..cant wait for the road to wrestlemania although ill miss a month due to ramadhan so keep me posted.

Also Liv winning is great coz she can now feud with her former mates...overall it was solid but last years was better. But this year is like a mystery box. And im on for the ride..and then next year the Shield returns lol..( I wish)..

ICE needs to visit WWE and get rid of most of these luchadores they are so many
I think there must have been 9-10 luchadores in this match. And that's counting two El Grande Americanos. You could literally hear the crickets chirping when La Parka came out. Nobody in Saudi Arabia knew who he was.

Glad you enjoyed it bro, no hate. But I guess some of us just remember when it used to be really good. And personally I don't feel it has been good in atleast 6 years.

This match had some weird moments.

Jey Uso comes out and starts doing his dance in the ring while the Rumble match is going on, which made him look like such a clown. He well and truly is the company mascot isn't he? Brock came out and destroyed everybody and then a few minutes later, got tossed out like a jobber by Cody and LA. The weird thing is that I was expecting him to come back into the match and kill everybody but nah, he just walked away. LA makes a big entrance to a massive pop, eliminates Theory, Bronson Reed and Lesnar. You'd think this guy would be one of the final four but nah, he got tossed out when there were like 9-10 guys still left in the match.

Oba Femi getting the spotlight was a positive. The face-to-face with Brock was cool too. I liked Powerhouse Hobbs' debut and the final two were exactly who they should have been. I'm also happy with the winner because it means we will be getting Punk v Roman at WrestleMania, which is the biggest money match you can do right now.

Other than that it was a bunch of hogwash, but not all that surprising if you have followed Triple H's booking for the past few years.

Looking forward to AJ debuting in AEW with his old TNA theme 🔥

I was not happy with his career in WWE ending like that last night but now that I think about it maybe it's better this way because he won't have to deal with HHH's dogs*it booking, and actually get to end his career on his own terms. Tony Khan will pretty much let him do whatever he wants. On top of that he has far bigger dream matches in AEW than he does in WWE. In WWE, the only must-see matches he had left were against Punk and Gunther. And now he has had them both.

Imagine having such a low wrestling IQ that you choose to bring in a bunch of no names that 99% of foreigners won’t recognize. what was the point of debuting Royce in a foreign country where he is unknown rather than in America where the wider wrestling fans will be able to recognize him

This guy and his stupidity knows no bounds. Wrestling to him is pretty much being able to pack as many commercials and advertisements and social media stars in as possible and it’s just a marketing campaign.

I think there needs to be a new term for the type of brand WWE is now under triple H instead of pro wrestling it should be called commercial wrestling

Only good thing is and am sure doofus levesque hates it is how big of a star Roman continues to be.

Gunther, AJ, Cena, LA, Drew all have fallen victim to doofus’s poor booking hurting them in some way.

However because Roman was already a mega star before this clown took over the reigns (heh) of WWE, that TKO would be very upset if he tries to squash him and hurt his image. He could get away with doing it to Cena because Cena doesn’t care.

However Roman still has aspirations in pro wrestling, and they know viewership is falling, so need him in the WM scene.

He’s also being more of himself, trolling Jey with the yeet nonsense before smacking him. Can’t believe they made Gunther job to Jey and get buried so hard that they have to now damage control by letting Gunther bury legends.

Good point. That debut would have meant 100x more if it happened in the States. The entire match was just predictable and boring. After a certain point you could pretty much guess who the rest of the entrants were going to be. His idea of a 'surprise' was bringing in AAA guys that literally no one in the crowd knew about. You could hear the crickets chirping when La Parka came out.

WWE has so many ex-wrestlers under Legends deals. Having even 1-2 of them in this match would have generated a monster pop and made for far memorable moments. But nah, let's bring out the guy who acts like an Iguana and wrestles with a stuffed toy so we can sell a bunch of those stuffed toys on WWE Shop.

Finn Balor sitting out for 🦎 :wenger

This is the state this is in…

Is he insecure that Finn is Becky’s ex and doesn’t want to give him any exposure anymore so his adopted son isn’t offended?

Well Finn actually got over in the match against Punk despite being booked like dirt for the last however many years, and you know how much he hates wrestlers who get over organically and haven't been chosen by him. So I think that one probably explains itself.

It would have been far better to get 1-2 guys from TNA to enter the Rumble instead of AAA who no one knows about apart from people in Mexico.

Brock did inject some life when he entered. But his elimination should have been done better. They need to treat their stars like big deal.

If you tune in once in a while, it might be enjoyable, but for fans who have been quite invested in WWE and regularly follow it, the direction and arcs of the lots of characters have taken nonsensical turns for a year now. And at current moment, it's driving fans' interest out of it as it feels so stale and forced. If you somehow manage to follow WWE for 3-4 months, you'll figure out why we've been hating it for so long. I myself having followed WWE regularly since 2016 am finding myself zoned out and not really interested in the current storylines or matches and the way it's done. I mainly kept watching in 2025 for Cena's final run. And since december, it has nosedived even further that I only watch a few segments per week now apart from Rumble obviously. Will keep an eye on the build to Mania, although I don't have any hopes apart from Roman Punk being booked and done well. Anything good would be a positive.

Glad to see The Rascalz (formerly MSK in NXT) in AEW. They are a super talented tag team. AEW's tag division is in desperate need of a revival, and these guys could play a part in that with all the fresh match-ups they will bring.

Wess Lee and Nash Carter is one hell of a tag team. It was stupid of WWE releasing them.

Gonna just say it, Roman is at the same level as Punk on the mic now. A worthy main event.
This segment felt like a filet mignon on a show full of McDonald's.

I like how it was all about two mfs who just don't like each other, instead of something corny and hard to believe. This is pretty much the biggest money match there is out there so I'm glad it's main-eventing WrestleMania.

Also, for the first time ever the World Heavyweight Championship feels like a big deal. Maybe this is the only way it was possible - by devaluing the WWE Championship, but it needed to happen because Rollins has done nothing to make that belt feel like anything more than a secondary title.

For some reason, Drew v Cody, or Drew v Cody v Fatu just doesn't feel like a massive match. Drew vs. Cody has been going on since October and I think it peaked with the Three Stages of Hell match in Germany. Jacob Fatu, as good as he is, feels out of place in this position. I appreciate them trying to elevate him but I don't think he has earned the right to be in this position with two tippy top guys like Drew and Cody.

It also made zero sense for him to cost Cody his match against Drew just to build up some forced animosity between the two. In kayfabe, Fatu came off as a complete idiot and Cody came off as someone who was wronged.

..Yet they are trying to make it seem like both have a point to be mad at each other. Not really!

Wwe title stocks plummeted when Cody got it back the second time because they don’t book anything interesting or big time with him.

It felt like a big title when Cena held it, but with Cody it was like meh because nothing was going on.

Drew just got it back and hasn’t had any established stars feuding to make it feel like a big deal again. Cody for the 50th time is not good enough. Makes it seem like the title is being competed for 2-3 guys only in the whole company.

Yeah I blame the booking too. Cody hasn't been in anything remotely interesting since the Kevin Owens feud. What's worse, a large pocket of the fans seem to be turning on him too. It isn't like it was with Cena but you are definitely starting to see shades of that. Drew should be given the ball and be allowed to run with it. And nothing against Fatu but he is not on Drew's level. And he's certainly not ready to be a WrestleMania main-eventer. Cody on the other hand, needs time away from the belt because it got a bit stale if I'm being honest.

I also liked that they didn't do the contrived bit of Roman going to every show to have a face-to-face with the champion. Like anyone believes that Roman is going to challenge the NXT Champion lol. They do this annoying bit every year eventhough most of the time it's fairly obvious who the Royal Rumble winner will challenge at WrestleMania.

@BunnyRabbit Seems your boy doesn't have much love for his previous employer :kp

Found out the kind of empty headed manchild he is after he left WWE after seeing his twitter feuds with random fans and getting owned by them repeatedly. However, the squash from Lesnar didnt do as much damage to him than the 2021 4 months of consistent squashes from Sheamus did that too for US title.

Not sure why but this post reminded me of Austin theory cashing his briefcase in for a mid card belt and losing 💀

One of the worst burials in wrestling history, should be studied. Now he is just a henchman with his getup being the default create a character you’re given on day 1 of the game

insert randy in that feud and make it a fatal 4 way.

cody likes to wrestle every week. TKO and nose has taken that away from him. Now every feud needs to stretch for 1-2 months with most the weekly shows in between filled with promo segments with not much to add to the feud.
The whole feud with Drew was booked so awfully where Cody easily beat him for 4 months and then lost to Drew due to interference from Jacob. No one came out of that final moments looking good. Now Drew has been trying his best to make the feud interesting but his character has been buried so much in the last 1 year.

The disrespect to this man is unreal…

Unchosen as his merch? Seriously? Doofus is such a sadist, rubbing it in his face that I’m not going to push you again.

Esp after clowning on him in unreal

Lmao he really does look like a Create a Wrestler these days, doesn't he? Black trunks, black boots, bald head and a good physique. That's pretty much where you start when you want to create your own wrestler in one of those 2K games.

I think they have just added him to this group to be the flunkey and take all the pins. Even being a henchman would be an upgrade over that.

CM Punk is the only one doing pro-wrestling. The rest are pretending to be wrestlers.

The ironic thing is that this feud makes Finn look like an afterthought despite his whole promo being about how he was not. Still will be a big match. Punk defiending the belt at the United Center in Chicago, The same place that is the home of the Chicago Bulls. Should be good

John Cena Explains Why He Retired In December Instead Of At WWE WrestleMania

John Cena explained his decision to retire in December 2025 during an appearance on No-Contest Wrestling, revealing that the timing was a strategic business move to bolster WWE’s traditionally “weak” fourth-quarter performance. Cena noted that December has historically been a difficult month for live attendance and viewership due to holiday spending and the gap between Survivor Series and the Royal Rumble.

“I’ll tell you why I specifically chose December to retire. There is a lot of stuff going on in December and in the WWE calendar, like Survivor Series is the last one, and then everyone waits for the Rumble. December is like a month in limbo. They’ve never really been able to crack that code. And with people on holiday, there’s until the holiday season is over, until like the 26th, tickets are tough to sell, yeah, because people are spending on holiday presents. So it’s a weak month for viewership. It’s a weak month for live attendance. Fans are like, Wait till January. We’ve advertised it. That’s when the road to WrestleMania starts. Right when I presented this idea to Nick Khan and Triple H, they were awesome. Who do you want to work with? What event do you want to retire at? I simply said that Hunter, who I want to work with is up to you. That’s your department. I have never been that guy. I don’t want to take this last year and change who I am. You deal in my plan. Nick, from a business perspective, the data that I’ve gathered over 23 years of doing business, December is soft. WrestleMania is going to sell itself.

So retiring at WrestleMania is selfish. It doesn’t do anything for the business. We retire in December, our weakest month, and we take the middle of December, the dry zone that desert from the end of Survivor Series to the beginning of the Rumble, we put it like right in the middle of December, because I know once you do the holiday tour, the houses will come back. You guys will make money. Let’s show a profit in Q4. And you put whatever arena you want, doesn’t matter. I have no affiliation in geography, just let’s get, let’s get ourselves in the best position to have the best December we can because I feel it’s an event that people will pay to see. And sure enough, it works. But like that was my thought process, selfishly, do you want to be the last match of WrestleMania? Sure, but the event sells itself, and in doing so, you get the trickle-down economics of like, okay, now we got a freebie in December. Bring up the young kids. Get them in front of the noise. You got nothing to lose. Let’s have a night of no storylines. Exhibition matches Drago versus Creed. Let’s do that stuff. So, just in targeting, where can we improve the most? What’s our weakness, and how can we turn it into a strength that trickles down into, like, Yo, how can we make this something bigger than just a Saturday night, you know? That’s kind of my thought process behind that, and they bought it. So, hey, we did all right. Nick Khan was like, that’s a good idea. Okay, so thank you, Nick, for doing that.”

Cena’s final match took place on December 13, 2025, at Saturday Night’s Main Event XLII. The event was held at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., in front of a sold-out crowd of over 19,000 fans. In accordance with Cena’s plan to showcase young talent, the card featured several cross-brand exhibition matches, including:

Gunther def. John Cena: “The Ring General” won the main event via submission with a sleeper hold, marking Cena’s first submission loss in over 20 years.

Sol Ruca def. Bayley: The NXT standout secured a major victory over the veteran following a “Sol Snatcher”.

Cody Rhodes vs. Oba Femi: The champion vs. champion opening match ended in a no-contest after Drew McIntyre interfered.

AJ Styles & Dragon Lee def. Je’Von Evans & Leon Slater: A tag team match pitting main roster stars against talent from NXT and TNA.

Following the match, Cena performed the traditional retirement gesture of leaving his sneakers and wristbands in the center of the ring. He was joined by the WWE roster, with CM Punk and Cody Rhodes notably offering Cena their championship belts to hold during his final salute to the fans. Triple H, addressing the fan backlash over Cena’s loss, explained that Cena’s philosophy has always been about leaving the industry “better than you found it”.

Ramadan Mubarak brother and everyone else @Suleiman @Rana , I took my ball home but welcomed back thanks to the diplomacy of the Netflix CEO & Nick Khan
:ykBut there’s an NDA that had to be signed in regards to the legendary lower order T20I specialist
:bobs . Completely agree on Punk, the one reason I still tune in to this, even after 10+ years he is still the best in the world and easily the greatest WHC of all time with the current lineage of the belt and we’ve not even scratched the surface with his character.

I had a big laugh over this:

I’ve never seen WWE plug AJ as much as they have recently for the show in Atlanta, despite my strong opinions, I am glad he is being honoured properly regardless of whether or not in leads to something more.

Bah gawd I will make sure I turn of 4/10’s pacemaker before the grim reaper gets to me.

InshaAllah bro! Ameen

Looks like we are all set for Punk vs Reigns, I hope it’s Night 2 because it’s the biggest match they could make for Mania. Apart from this though, nothing else is doing it for me.

4/10 reportedly wanted to feed LA Knight to Lesnar, for someone who doesn’t care about the internet, he’s petty enough to be in a feud with us constantly

IA. WWE's been pretty boring since Cena bowed out. And the way they booked AJ in his last year completely knowing he was retiring is a travesty.
I haven't enjoyed since December, and rarely tune into it now apart from the few angles mainly involving Roman and Punk. That's it.
Feels like this page of life is pushing me to move to the next one and praying 2026 will kickstart our Head of the Table run.

Pro Wrestling has died in America honestly. They were pioneers of it and made some pretty dope shows over the years and entertained the whole world. That run is now almost over for Americans.

I am not saying Pro Wrestling itself is dead. But nothig happens the same way unlimited number of times. It happened in USA, got resurrected many times with booster doses through generations but honestly homie its now like keeping a dead man on ventilator. That cow has given all the milk it could give, that hen has given all the eggs it could lay bro. ANythign beyond that would be a product that would feel stale, which is the case right now.

Pro Wrestling must remerge in other developing nations from scratch.
The next Stone Cold will be in Pakistan, the next Goldberg is in India, the next HBK is Bangladeshi brother. Those are the places where you can have colourful gimmicks, where audiences are still largely virgin and can give all their love and innocence to such characters, such that it feels real. You know Americans cannot redo Undertaker or Kane or Austin, those characters are done and dusted now. Audience already gave their reactions to them. It can't be repeated. But you bring a Maula Jatt to life in Pakistan or an Aashwathama in India and audiences will go crazy.

Triple H is making every effort to damage wrestling, from pulling down the veil with the Unreal series, sticking his big nose in the way of stars who have organic appeal, booking Wrestlemania in the same place 2 years in a row just to troll The Rock & just generally, his overall dated booking style has made sure the product doesn’t have the kind of OTT drama we loved to hate & hate to love, the product doesn’t have soul anymore and it doesn’t help that the entire American market has now been consumed within 2 companies.

They don’t have a plan B either and after Cena’s commercially successful farewell tour, they failed to capitalise on that or do something that shakes the industry creatively.

They are too busy hiking prices and on-top of that show ego with the biggest stars in the company like they don’t need them.

The new owners are a bit daft as well and think you can run the WWE like any corporation in America & that bubble will burst sooner rather than later.

The good news is that there are solutions to the problem with being creatively bankrupt & the business model can be tweaked overnight, but I don’t have confidence it will happen.

The Netflix deal has gone to their head to and there is a clause which allows them to pull out if they want after 5 years.

Cena / AJ should have continued till WM and on-top of that they have tried to sabotage Roman Reigns and his appeal, audiences are way too deflated. The suits are surprised why people don’t want to pay what they did last year @ the same venue; WM was produced like another event, and TKO wanted to push that because it helps them save money, on top of that there is a creatively bankrupt booker who will do his best to make sure fans get little value, they want to sell us wrestling like it’s coca-cola.

All those chair shots he received through his career, are probably showing their impact now. He used to be a smart man back in the day when he was Chyna's girlfriend.

Chyna did some damage to him that he hasn’t recovered from yet, H is still very very sore all these years later.

Heck they wont even put Chyna in the Hall of Fame

Whoever Chyna been with, never truly recoevered brother.
She called 9th Wonder of the World for a reason. Vinnie Mac gave her that title for a reason.

Roman's probably the last true superstar WWE has left and he has creative power that even Nose can't take away. TKO's money whores probably know every time Roman shows up, it generates money so they have to let him have his way.
Apart from that there's nothing in WWE atm that's worth watching. No good storylines, no characters or nothing even remotely interesting. They need to get rid of all the leeches and senile minds that have nothing left in their brain. Even at his worst, Vince had the instinct to create some magic among all dung.
