Trips lacks that instinct to do something innovative and build on from there. He's so lazy in his comfortable bubble.
Drew vs Randy with Randy winning and then Randy turning on the crowd the Raw after Mania and build on a great heel turn for Randy afterwards for a good 4 month reign till Summerslam. Meanwhile cody could have put Jacob over.
On the other hand with Vince at helm, the fatal 4 way between Lesnar vs Oba vs Jacob vs Drew/Gunther would have slapped.

@shaz619 Watching the Jericho return, the first thing that comes to mind is that Tony must have broke the bank on this contract renewal. :sarf2 Jericho always the smartest guy in the room.

I don't think I've seen him in this kind of shape since 2015

@shaz619 This match has the potential to be good. Great babyface promo by Kenny here, and a strong riposte by MJF too. It was a pretty good segment until Spitball Mike Bailey came in; but nevertheless I feel it was a good example of what you need to sell a title fight in wrestling. Don't feel like that's done enough these days though. Excluding something that Punk is involved in, even in WWE we see corny, illogical and half-baked builds for World title matches far too often.

Pat McAfee being the Randy Orton's caller is just so stupid and anticlimactic. Can WWE sink lower?
As long as 🫏 is at the helm- probably not.

More streamers, musicians, past it nfl commentators feature on wwe than actual stars. It’s a reality show.

It’s like Mickey Mouse showing up in avengers and punching thanos out of existence.

it's okay doing it once a year for a mid card feud. Like Sami vs Knoxville (was a super fun match), but teasing your mainevent angle and ruining it first with Jelly Roll and now McAfee, it's just abominable. Next week, it'll probably be Bad Bunny joining Cody.

That’s what I’m saying, it’s every week now man. Is this Jersey shore or some crappy MTV show? wth is this bozo even doing?? How many random celebs and artists etc are there now?

Whenever Travis walked out in WM instantly you lost being interested and glued to the screen because the fakeness hit you… no way is that junkie a threat to either one in the wwe world.

TKO are like 😴 💤 letting this hhh idiot do whatever

Stephanie please ship him off to some remote island

WWE would be much better with Dwayne's team taking charge or literally anyone not named Bischoff, Nash or Russo.
Triple Idiot even fired an experienced exec like Jeff Jarrett for his buddy Road Dogg a few years ago.

Cody cutting the Disco Inferno promo afterwards on Pat makes me think that it is definitely going to be Dwayne now, probably will be revealed on the go home episode or Mania itself. If it's not him, then it's going to be a big big letdown considering how featured this angle has been for Cody-Randy feud.

This dumb 🫏 has like a thousand wrestlers at his disposal but due to his chronic habit of being a greedy uncreative and talentless money grubbing leech, he looks for shortcuts to generate that money which to him means packing feuds and storylines with as many celebs as possible who have no business in a wrestling storyline or ring aside from ONCE every few years. Not 20 of them every freaking week.

Speed knocking out LA wasn’t enough, as he continues to bury LA who has more talent in his pinky than this dull goof had in his entire body or brain and now he’s feuding with a 21 year old streamer, great.

Good thing I only watch the shorts on YouTube and only watch the highlights if the shorts are worth it.

Promo was decent from Pat but it sucked because it’s freaking Pat… that promo could’ve come out of any pro wrestlers mouth and it wouldn’t have been an issue and would’ve actually been great. It’s like having Gilchrist and Saeed Anwar as openers with Sehwag, Warner and many others in the back… but you open with Harsha Bhogle and Karan Johar.

He could’ve debuted someone from NXT by this point like Ethan Page to be Randy’s sidekick, and play on getting back at Cody by having a new protege, just a random bs example off the top of my head, am sure you guys can come up with 100 others better than this 🗑️ 🚮

Agree. but i think now they'll either do a reveal of Dwayne being the real caller or it will be just another howler like last Mania's mainevent.

idk if rock wants to be part of this show anymore. Is there any evidence that him and H patched things up?

Otherwise I only see this getting worse. Ghada in charge has lost the plot completely.

I guess with the outrage they may decide to pivot away from this shrieking ex nfl guy tho.

no idea. I haven't watched wwe after december apart from Royal Rumble.

@shaz619 This is the weirdest collab ever. Mick Foley doing V/O for a deathmatch wrestling doc. directed by the guys who directed Talk to Me and Bring Her Back

Hope it leads to Mick doing a horror movie, long overdue lol

Omega is made off glass & there’s a lot riding on how MJF can get the best out of his abilities, I’ve never witnessed a decline quiet like that of Omega & always knew how overhyped he was. I actually think that if Okada was repackaged unlike the goof he is portraying, he could give MJF a better match in theory.

Pat McAfee being the Randy Orton's caller is just so stupid and anticlimactic. Can WWE sink lower?

It has to be a rib on Vince from H or just the peak of his incompetence. But the jews surely must be unhappy, I hope they gave H the ultimatum & this is his reaction to that or something petty hanging over it all which seems to be the trend with him, but he can’t continue after this surely

I admire the business savvy but I can't really be happy about this because I know it will just lead to more bad segments, angles and matches

He’s just a legend bro, for better or worse he deserves his flowers, has given so much to this business and even AEW despite everything, I am pretty sure somewhere that 4/10 douche is sour out of this. Jericho in his twilight past his peak is 10x more over then H was when his own faculties were in order. I genuinely missed Chris Jericho The Lion Heart. Jericho has earned the right to do as he pleases, if he wants to take Stephanie for another ride on the Jericho Cruise - I doubt she would have any objections, nor the Doofus Son in Law for that matter!

BEst case scenario, it was a red herring and it could be dwayne reveal at mania. Otherwise theyve buried the great feud randy cody could potebtially have had.

I wonder why okada hasnt crossed path with mjf yet. The two could have a great match.
Okada against his match against tanahashi was a statement that he still is one of the best in the business when he wants to. Its just dumb having okada in your roster and not utilizing him
Seems like tony and trips are cut from same cloth

I saw the Pat McAfee promo and I have to say, I absolutely hated it.

First off, he tried to pass himself off as some kind of a big deal. Maybe he is a big deal in the world of American Eggball but in WWE he is a nobody compared to any real wrestler.

Secondly, I'm not sure if burying your own product is the best way to get over as an edgy heel. That's a very Vince Russo thing to do, and feels very on-the-nose in 2026. The worst thing about it is that you are insulting the intelligence of the fans for seemingly being stupid enough to pay their hard-earned money to watch this crap. I don't care if you have Juggalos for wrestlers, you should never bury your own product in that way.

All in all, this whole sh*t is starting to feel very similar to the Travis Scott nonsense from last year. You would think that they would learn from their mistakes but no.

Nothing against Pat. He seems like a nice guy...they probably parked a dump truck full of cash infront of his house, because from what I've heard he made far more money outside WWE from his YT show and other stuff than he did from that commentary gig. But its so unnecessary. He is not cut out for whatever this role is.

Whoever came up with this idea doesn't understand anything about wrestling.

From The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and The Rock, we have come to IShowSpeed, Jelly Roll, Pat McAfee, and Travis Scott. Thank you, Triple Kh0ta. :facepalm :inti
Pat McAfee is getting a lot of slack, but that guy is actually an athlete who loves wrestling. He isn't a full-time prowrestler but he can wrestle. He did some great heel work in NXT leading the Kings of NXT faction and had a credible match against Theory at Mania. The guy has a wrestling ring built in his backyard where he learned wrestling back in 2020. It's just that his segment was pretty awful and it doesn't make any sense inserting him into the Mania Mainevent unless it was a red herring. You can put Bad Bunny in there but Pat and Logan have actually learned wrestling.
Also Pat can wrestle a match on the fly something Logan isn't accustomed to (he practices his matches well in advance)

I just watched it, they tried to do an AEW for the shock value and Russo himself may as well have booked the segment.

Now here’s an alternate view, I am actually completely OK with this; if the following happens next week:

- There’s a pole match on SD
- Cody is crucified by Randy & we get to see some crazy blade jobs
- Brandy shows up and gets kidnapped
- Orton’s kids, led by Pat, randomly start assaulting everyone back stage

If you’re threatening to bring back the AE era, then fine, go all the way with it, give us the whole deal.

Whatever Pat said it’s not actually a problem - they have in-fact buried Wrestlemania, what he said was true, but all of us know this is just a stunt to get interest in WM, a desperate attempt really, I don’t know it will be enough to sell tickets, but if you are genuinely serious, bring back the AE era & this direction might be justified.

BEst case scenario, it was a red herring and it could be dwayne reveal at mania. Otherwise theyve buried the great feud randy cody could potebtially have had.

That’s literally the only thing that can save them, arguably biggest star of the AE era and they need to recreate the buzz from around the time the final boss was about & booking the shows 10x better on a whim with little planning compared to that 4/10 doofus

This was today? Man I completely forgot else woulda tuned in
:sree

It was a fun fight lol Wilder had declined so much that Chisora was the favourite going into the fight, it would have been sad to see a former great champion going down to a glorified journeyman - we sure love our jobbers in the UK. It seems Wilder is a big HBK fan lol

I think it’s a thing with Black folk & HBK, did you see the opening of NXT Stand & Deliver 🤣🤣 Sexy Red was back and we also got to see the first Cuban Champ on WWE history, that’s how you open a Takeover! so much aura even at his age! and completely organic, now compare that to 4/10 trying to be Heyman in the 90’s during the Black & Gold era when he opened the shows and trying to get everyone to be quiet - I think someone chanted for Benoit once.

Anyway, this is Shawn booking NXT every week, especially the ladies:

Hey Shawn when you saving us from the depression era?

Shawn: ‘Every time the ladies pass, they be like "hi HBShizzle"
Can y'all feel me, all ages and races
Real sweet faces
Every different nation, Spanish, Hatian, Jamaican
Black, White, Cuban, and Asian’

Being an untalented racist narcissist won't make a great booker. Trips has proven that even though there was little doubt.

Shawn or DeShawn should we say got aura for days whether it was in his chaotic or reformed days. He knows what’s up, has camaraderie with the entire NXT locker room the men and the women without being a creepy sleaze ball like Vince but also not taking him seriously and trying to get the world to see him as Steven Spielberg like his doofus bff. He’s cool with all races etc

Honestly think if Shawn hadn’t made friends with that 🫏 he would’ve gone even farther. You fall to the level of people you surround yourself with as even Rasullullah SAW said in a Hadith along very similar lines.

But man I feel for Chisora- why they always gotta turn to my boy WAR every time they hit the twilight of their career, Tyson fighting him a hundred times now Deontay lol.

But man even the best Deontay could do is split decision. Chisora doesn’t wanna stop fighting much like Jimmy Anderson and I’d say Dorian Yates in bodybuilding- blokes who don’t know what to do with all the money and time if they leave their craft.

Shawn even bonded with Mustafa Ali on religion etc and in a recent interview I heard they keep in touch, Shawn was really proud of Ali for the PWI cover - I could never have imagined an asian muslim worker on the page, Shawn played a big part in Ali’s character change before he got fired.

I posted a review of the fight in the Boxing thread, honestly it was a farce bro, Wilder was fighting both Chisora & the ref, we have the most corrupt officiating in the UK, 1 of the cards was badly crooked, it was a wide UD for Wilder imo & really he should have stopped Chisora but the ref kept stepping in to ask if Chisora was ok and kept helping him up and buying him time.

Chisora to be fair has always managed to find good form but no consistency over a longer stretch, he was coming off some solid top 10 wins and was heavily fancied to beat Wilder - this is why I think Wilder should retire because I am not sure it will get better than this.

after seeing goldberg in his last few matches, I had kind of forgotten how agile he was in the ring during his prime. Lesnar still moves like a cat at 49 years old but Goldberg pretty much lost it.

Goldberg when he came back in 2016 was actually pretty phenomenal for his age and what was more important for me was the booking - just think that when that 4/10 piece of garbage was champion, he managed to ruin the aura of Goldberg even when he was in his prime back in 2003. In 2016 Heyman & Lesnar took charge of the Goldberg presentation and in less than a few minutes they figured out how to book him and make a boat load of money along the way.

yeah he was but comparing to Lesnar who still moves quicker than majority of the roster at 48 tells you how much of an anomaly Lesnar is.
Goldberg did very well till Mania but he ruined all of that with his match against Taker and then they kept having him get beaten clean repeatedly

Lesnar’s not stupid like Goldberg who was equally a phenomenal athlete with a football background, Lesnar became a student of the game on the job while Goldberg got too big for his boots post Taker but his second run was still overall more successful then when he came in during the RA era - they completely diluted Goldberg

Personally I think he is very talented in the ring. But he never understood the importance of less is more. The style he wrestled, he was never going to have an especially long career in the ring. But what differentiates him from Okada is that Okada is willfully lazy and picking up the paycheck, whereas, Omega still tries to give his 100% and does care about that fanbase. Which is probably why he is still one of the more beloved wrestlers on the roster, and also one of the few guys who still draws ratings. Okada just doesn't seem like someone you could care about again. Its one of the worst runs any top foreign star has ever had in North America.

Fair enough. But as a fan it is disappointing for me to see him come up with such awful stuff when I know what he is capable of creatively. It's alot like watching the great Francis Ford Coppola - the director of some of my all-time favorite films like Apocalypse Now, Rumble Fish, as well as cinematic classics like The Godfather I & II direct that piece of crap known as Megalopolis.

Hopefully the giant paycheck has given him a renewed sense of focus. He certainly looks to be in amazing shape, especially considering his age and what he looked like before going away.

The stench of late-90s WCW is all over this. Its impossible to ignore.

For a company that's supposed to have these really smart business guys at the helm, the only thing I see are a bunch of idiots who understand nothing about the business of wrestling. And I'm not going to blame H for this, because let's be real, this is way above his pay-grade.

How can you be greedy enough to run the same town for WrestleMania two years in a row, and expect to sell as many tickets? I don't care who you are.... you are always going to have a major issue drawing money in the same town two years running, especially in a town like Vegas that depends so heavily on tourism and people coming from outside places.

Then doing this Pat McAfee thing. Even Triple H is not dumb enough to pull a stunt like this. Any real wrestling fan who watches the product or has for any number of years knows that adding a virtual nobody like McAfee who has largely been known as a commentator on the show does nothing, especially if you build it up like its going to be a big reveal. Its a classic case of wanting to do something to bring the casuals in, and turning away your real fans. And the irony is that even casuals don't care if Pat McAfee is in Randy Orton's corner. Those people don't give a s**t about wrestling to begin with.

Triple H needs to learn a thing or two about deleting messages, or maybe just downloading Signal

This is a hilarious read, and what's funniest is reading him grovel to Nick Khan about big bad VKM coming in and possibly taking away the job he spent 20+ years of his life politicking for.

There’s very little that I’d go out of my way to watch a match for him specifically personally, he’s an athletic spot guy who looks great when in with a ring general, so kind of like the reverse of Haitch & similarly overrated with little business acumen or drawing power, he realised this too late in his career as well unfortunately. Okada is simply exploiting a garbage booker, same as Omega tbh and every talent which is best mates with the promoter.

I think Jericho wanted to stick it to H as well for the low ball creative, so maybe he will have a point to prove this time; when workers genuinely have a chip on their shoulder it shows in their work, Punk was ostracised so badly about his professionalism, that even his worst critics would have to admit how awfully wrong they were & Punk took it upon himself to make sure he was business

H seemed really chuffed about announcing Vegas just to stick it to The Rock - he knew deep down it wouldn’t work even if it was above his pay grade so I still hold him accountable and the creative has been atrocious pre McAfee who apparently is taking all the heat for a ‘shoot’ - I can’t imagine what the scripted promo would have been like; I don’t have an issue with the segment if the follow up justifies it, but it doesn’t look to be heading in the direction we’d want it to. I also feel that they are using the romanticism with the AE era to show us that it’s not what we really want to defend their soulless creative, what we really want is the RA era, cohesive story telling which is edgy without all the bs.

The stunt on SD will be used to bully fans like - we did an AE era special knowing full well that’s not what we want exactly.

In-fact someone like Dwayne out of the business for years understood the product better than that piece of garbage.

Triple H needs to learn a thing or two about deleting messages, or maybe just downloading Signal

This is a hilarious read, and what's funniest is reading him grovel to Nick Khan about big bad VKM coming in and possibly taking away the job he spent 20+ years of his life politicking for.

This is hardly surprising, we predicted it, and I am sure JC’s pod mentioned it to, it was highly probable that both Haitch & Steph outed Vince & this just reinforces what a low class sub-human person Haitch is doing the father in law dirty like that, he owed his entire career & life that he has to Vince and he bit the man that fed him, I’d put that pig in the same bracket as Zionists in all honesty

Triple H is the kind of person who would sell his own mother if it meant getting to where he needed to get, so Vince is nothing compared to that. I'm sure when he got married to Stephanie he had to have thought about one day coming face-to-face with Vince because Vince was always the one person standing between H and him running the show. Say what you will about H, he is a master politician. For the most part, he has politicked his way into the role he worked 20+ years to attain. Even someone as derided Hogan (who actually was a draw a draw and arguably the biggest start in the history of wrestling) has nothing on H when it comes to politicking...he doesn't even come close.

Power is fickle though. Especially under these new TKO overlords that H has sold his soul to. They are greedy businessmen who don't care about anything besides making money. Therefore to them everything and EVERYONE is disposable.

Funny thing about control is that we all think we are in control, but in actuality, none of us actually are. Triple H will find this out soon enough. Not even because he is a master politician and a s*umbag who deserves to be ousted, but because he is a lousy booker who was never competent enough for this position to begin with.

We are at all-time low levels tbh. I have watched WWE during some rough times for them creatively, never was it this hard to watch. There were times they were doing some absurd things that stretched the bounds of logic but even that stuff was entertaining in a stupid way. The current product just feels lifeless, dull and completely detached from the world of wrestling.

Among all the garbage on WWE TV these days, this match is one of the only things keeping this show from being unwatchable. This was home-run from Punk and probably my favorite promo of this feud so far.

That said, the last part of the promo was a shameful attempt by the promotion to insult the intelligence of the fans and babyface themselves for their recent indiscretions. And I thought it was especially low for them to use a wrestler like Punk - who is seen as authentic by the fans - to act like they are listening to the fans, when we know full-well this is just a cheap tactic to generate online buzz and shift the narrative away from McAfee angle and low-ticket sales.

WWE: "Look, we lowered ticket prices because your favorite wrestler CM Punk told us to" 🤓

What kind of marks do they think people are?

Rollins' promo was so confusing and hard to follow. Its like he was trying to convince himself into wrestling Gunther at WrestleMania eventhough the match has already been made. 'Yeah I know I have these other things going on with The Vision, but now I will wrestle Gunther at WrestleMania for no logical reason besides the fact that the creative team led by my incompetent daddy are complete dimwits.'

Hopefully they can atleast use it to give us Gunther v Brock.
