ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa has detected transfer of millions of rupees from India and other countries into secret bank accounts of Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) activist Gulalai Ismael and her parents and registered a case against them.

According to sources, Gulalai Ismael, her father Muhammad Ismael, and mother Azalfat Ismael have been booked under charges of money-laundering, Anti-Terrorism Act 1997 (ATA-1997), financial assistance to terror outfits and anti-state elements.

Earlier, the Islamabad police had registered an FIR against her under sections 500 (punishment for defamation), 153-A (promoting enmity between different groups, etc) and 124-A (sedition) of the Pakistan Penal Code, as well as sections 6/7 of the Anti-terrorism Act, 1997.

The FIA, in 2018, received a report about suspicious activities of a non-governmental organisation (NGO), Aware Girls, and the Seeds of Peace network, and detected transfer of huge funds into the accounts of its chairperson, Gulalai Ismael. Further probe revealed that the PTM activist had been working against security of the country in the garb of welfare works.

Love how subtle India were transferred directly from Indian accounts

Mamoon Are we finally going to see you condemn India for interfering in our internal politics?

I don’t blame India for giving us a taste of our medicine. Did we not expect them to retaliate for our interference in J&K and instigating anti-Indian sentiment in the youth of Kashmir?

Besides, if PTM is on RAW’s payroll, it is because of our mistakes. We have mistreated the people of FATA and have considered them outcasts.

If we had given them there due rights as citizens of Pakistan and spent money on educating and developing them, we wouldn’t be in a position where our people are on foreign payroll since we refused to treat them well.

You get treated very well, what’s your excuse ?

I knew it, you will never condemn India no matter what.

India doesn't consider Kashmiris as outcasts? India doesn't mistreat the people of Kashmir Valley? There is no anti-Kashmiri sentiment in India? There is no systematic turture of Kashmiris done by Indian security forces? There is no internet shutdown in Kashmir? There is no political engineering going on in Kashmir?

Your hypocrisy is so obvious, you're not even trying to hide it. I was about to share reports on India's human rights violations but then i remembered that you'll still come up with an excuse to defend India.

You spend so much time blaming the Pak Army(which is fine) but then you go on to defend crimes committed by India. At least by principled enough to condemn wrongs committed on all sides.

You're not a dissident, you're an Indian apologist who either deliberately or through brainwashing have started to believe that India is always right. Just an advice, stop reading much on Indian media(propaganda) outlets.

You can blame India all you want, but these things will happen as long as you alienate your own people.

Kashmir issue is different. It has ideological roots - the people of Kashmir don’t accept the grounds on which J&K became part of the Indian federation. Pakistan have always played a big role in ensuring that the youth of Kashmir do not feel part of India.

As far as FATA is concerned, although there are people there who are loyal to Afghanistan, the major reason for the problems in FATA is the fact that we have never accepted them as part of Pakistan. It should have been merged with KP decades ago and the establishment should have not treated them like dogs.

You just proved my point, you’ll never blame India for their mistakes but will be quick to put all the blame on Pakistan, thank you for your comment :)

Why are you bringing Pak here? The atrocities indian agencies are doing here is more than enough to not feel part of India. Hardly anything comes into the media so people have no idea what we are facing. Youth is literally afraid to stay at homes due to various reasons.

Strict action must be taken if the evidence is conclusive. Needless to say India is not getting the money back:rabada2

One way traffic?

1) Need better proof than has been offered to believe this is true.

2) Even if it is true, so what? Pakistan supports terrorists in Kashmir, so India has to retaliate in some manner. I never said India doesn't support terrorists in Pakistan. It will be best if both countries cease such activities, but expecting only one to do so won't happen unless it collapses.

What an insult to Kashmir's indigenous movement which had started even before India and Pakistan got independence!

As expected from hindutva and bhakths.

India would never interfere in other nation politics and would not support terrorist activities to "so what, Pakistan support freedom struggle in Kashmir" and as usual, 'the source'.

Hindutva and Bhakths are some of the most pettiest in all of South Asia.

An anti-terrorism court in Peshawar on Wednesday acquitted social activist Gulalai Ismail’s parents in a case registered by the counter-terrorism department on the charges of sedition, terror financing and facilitation.

PTM are part of the govt so not unexpected. Our agencies have become guns for hire and movie makers. National security is optional
