"This Pakistani team doesn't have it in them to compete with the Indian team" : Harbhajan Singh

now just for this statement. I Want them to smash India and show their place. This guy is another from school of sehwag.

I hope our boys get to read some of the comments that have been thrown around in the media since yesterday

Such "bulletin board" material is not useful in cricket. It works in some games like American Football where coaches try all sorts of things to get the players motivated. In cricket, you get a batsman mad, and he will likely lose his concentration and wicket.

Nice build up to a possible grand finale for Asia Cup

Had a Pakistani said it it would have sounded fair but many people will call this arrogant coming from an Indian. Don't think Bhajju is that kind.
Bhai this is same bhajji who said if Australia play well they will lose 3 nil otherwise 4 nil is on the cards. Never like this attitude of some past Indian players like Ganguly, Harbhajan, Sehwag,Ravi shastri . Ganguly also spurts same non sense as if he is the greatest captain ever while he was schooled by Ponting during his captaincy tenure.Never see such comments from Dravid, ponting.
Hope Pakistan put them in place.I remember Imad Wasim saying they were agitated by india attitude during their CT match and that fired them up

Lol going by that logic, Pakistan has 73 ODI wins so the two losses don't make much of a difference. But it doesn't work like that , the past is pretty irrelevant the only thing that would matter to most fans is who wins this tournament not who won in the past.

If it doesn't make a difference to you then well and good. You don't have to be here then.

I agree that there was no need for Bhajji to say this.

But don't act like saints. Shoaib Akhtar had been spewing rubbish against India even before the Asia Cup started. Now he's been put in his place.

There are characters like this everywhere. Who will say sensationalist stuff just for the sake of it.

Pakistani media is as much to blame as Indian media. They both constantly engage in such drivel.

I am sure there are good reasons for what happened, but these two games show a huge gap in class, talent, and mental fortitude.
They might turn it around in the final, but everyone is within their rights to consider this a one-sided contest based on whats transpired so far.

Read what I wrote or just don't reply if you can't.

In the last 5 ODIs that they've played (going back to the 2015 world cup), these are the results:

India win by 76 runs
India win by 124 runs
Pakistan win by 180 runs
India win by 8 wickets
India win by 9 wickets

Clearly the CT final was an anomaly and India is thoroughly outclassing Pakistan at the moment.

Why just 5 ODIs? Let's go further back to Pakistan humiliating India in India and fans crying. It was so bad the government hasn ot allowed a Pakistan side to tour since.

See, we can all go through time. My point is that it is just two matches back Pakistan destroyed "superstar" India on the second biggest ODI stage. Takei t or leave it, up to you.

Harbhajan Singh said the India vs Pakistan World Cup 2019 match on June 16 would not be as big as the one between tournament favourites India and England.

Most experts believe India and hosts England are overwhelming favourites to win the 2019 Cricket World Cup. There is a lot of anticipation for the India-Pakistan game at Manchester on June 16 but in a blunt assessment at Salaam Cricket 2019, Harbhajan Singh said Pakistan do not have the wherewithals to beat India.

"India vs Pakistan is not as big as India vs England. Maybe from the media perspective, India vs Pakistan is more hyped up. But from a cricketing aspect, India vs England is more important. India can beat this Pakistan team 9 and a half times out of 10 times," Harbhajan Singh said.

However, former Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq, who has been part of some riveting India-Pakistan contests in the past, said anything can happen in India-Pakistan clashes in the World Cup.

"Logically, Bhajji is right but Pakistan is a dangerous team. In cricket, you cannot say anything. This Pakistan team is capable. There was a collapse in the last match. India have a better chance. As he said, India and England are the two favourites.

"Given the rivalry, intensity... You never know what can happen in World Cups. Pakistan were strong in the 1990s yet India would win every time in World Cups," Misbah said at Salaam Cricket 2019.

Harbhajan Singh said he agreed with Misbah but felt India were far too strong for Pakistan: "I agree with Misbah, anything can happen. Pakistan do not have the kind of players. Favourites tags are with India and England."

"India have 11 match-winners and I don't think Pakistan have the ability to beat this Indian team. We are more experienced and we have a lot of big players," Harbhajan Singh said.

Bhajji is spot on. I would expect India to beat this Pakistan team 10 out 10 times.

Indian top order is susceptible to left hand pace bowlers bringing the ball in and taking it out.. If the openers survive first 4-5 overs India will win almost all matches. For Pakistan to win the only win condition they have is Mohammad amir getting Indian top order out in his first spell.
