I have'nt been able to make a single post towards the end of pakistan's first innings when they came back from lunch with 221/ 9 cause i got very busy at work. Decent contributions from iftikhar and arshad in the end with 33 runs to iftikhar and 23 runs from arshad.

I also missed out on making countless posts when a third string pakistan bowling attack was tearing northamptonshire to shreds in their second innings !. Great effort from pakistan considering they were struggling at 141 / 5 in their first innnings this morning. We finished respectably at 250/ 9 with fine contributions from younis khan 58, kamran 38, janissar 31, iftikhar 33 * and arshad 23.

With a lead of 19 runs northamptonshire had a opportunity to bury pakistan in dust but instaed they were hit by a nasty surprise with shahid nazir and iftikhar playing havoc and reducing them to 68/ 5 picking 3 and 2 wickets respectively. Then imran farhat and arshad joined the party to finish northamptonshire off at 140 all out picking 2 wickets apiece. A truely fantastic come back for pakistan with a third strength bowling attack.

It was pleasing to see imran farhat and salman butt finishing at stumps on day 2 for pakistan at 24/0. Some 17 wickets have been witnessed falling and some decent batting display to quench the thirst of cricket lovers at the ground and here at pakpassion ! MASHALLAH great performance from pakistan . Thanks to Almighty ALLAH for success.

What you guys think should be select shahid nazir or samiullah niazi instaed of sami for second test ? i heard flintoff has a ankle injury, too bad for the pomies ! Shoaib akhter on course of recovery and he will INSHALLAH be available from third test match onwards. Great news for pakistani fans !

thats an ignorant statement. over the last few tests salman is having a torrid time w/ the bat. i see a future for him w/ the team but he needs to go right now, simple as that. farhat, well now that he's returned shd be given a few tests although i haven't personally rated him highly, nor do i think he is a long term choice.

no one's making them scapegoats, to an extent they deserve the criticism. the onus is on them to come out and get a big one. even that wont solve all the problems, because going by their past record they will find it hard to be consistently good. i dont blame the people for blaming our openers. its been 10 years and we haven't found a decent pair of openers, thats the real shame.
