Kohli recently broke SRT's record of highest ranking points received by an Indian batsman in ODI's. He is in such fine form that him bettering all of SRT's records, including 49 ODI tons, seems inevitable.
However i feel there are two Tendulkar records that Kohli will find REALLY hard to better -
- Record of 9 ODI tons in a calender year (1998)
- Record of most man of the match awards in ODIs (62)
Kohli currently has 28 man of the match awards, and in 2017 he scored 6 ODI tons in a calender year.
He has a chance of getting 9 ODI tons this year with 5 ODIs in England, Asia Cup and 5 home ODIs against WI. It looks hard, but given the freakish form he is in, i would not put anything past him!
