Country Hills one is showing Kaptaan I think...
I remember they played BOL there.

In Toronto it is much easier as there are more cinemas showing Pakistani movies

Josh has released in Pakistan . Main Hoon Afridi`s release had been delayed because they must have wanted to release one movie at a time . Bollywood films` release have also been delayed because it .

Wasn't Waar releasing on eid?(Fitr)

Maybe bari eid.

azaad looks amazing and moor too. josh seems good too
i hated the naach trailer, made me cringe.

Main Hoon Shahid Afridi is releasing on 23rd August.

While Zinda Bhaag, which is starring indian actor Naseeruddin Shah, is all set to release on 6th September.

There is no official release date for "Waar" as of yet. But it is expected to be released in november.

Nice trailers. Josh didn't do well that's what I heard and main reason for this "Chennai Express". Both released same day.

It's comming so far, as i know there is a need for 'spy adventures', and socio movies because of the 'halat' our Pak is in. But i believe they're making some quality romcoms which are soon to be released. :yk

Rafina - Trailer

pakistani film industry has perfected the art of making film trailers without actually releasing a movie

^^ Hey i think the male lead in that movie is a Scottish actor. I saw him in this documentary:

Check out Ishq Khuda if you want. There are romantic movies but they aren't popular.

It is available on youtube :misbah_old

He uploaded it himself on DailyMotion, didn't watch it as yet though.

He also got the leading role in some ARY drama apparently, so he's serious about his acting too now I guess (I know he has tons of experience in theatre, and also voiced the main villain in Burka Avenger.)

Our theatre industry has really helped the film industry so far . Right now , the theatre industry is doing really well with ticket prices being around 1500 per person and still theatres are filled with families . Just goes to show if you are providing a quality product , people are willing to spend money .

Look at the food industry , I have lost the count how many food streets have opened up in Pakistan . You could go on a weekday to a restaurant at 3 am in the morning and you will still be waiting in your car to be seated for half an hour at least if you are lucky .

some really solid trailers there, hope the movies live up to the standards

The topic they discussed Would make for an interesting discussion here.

I am glad that we are not following the Bollywood formula. These trailers are refreshingly different.

na maloom afraad looks good. Finally a movie from Pakistan that isn't related to terrorists

If the movie is even half as good as the trailer then i would love it. Javed finally doing roles that suit him.

Also, kind of gives you feel of delhi belly.

Lol was thinking the same thing. All our dramas are wedding related and movies terrorism related.

Na Maloom Afrad

Trailer seems promising. Production quality is really good. Set in Karachi known for its curfews. Looks like there is an item number as well, not sure if that was needed but I guess the movie is made for all public and not just snooty movie critics like us.

Within a year or so, our cinema has really taken off. Bravo!

Saltanat- our answer to Rajinikanth movies. Check out the trailer and review. You will either be holding your head in both your hands wishing you never saw that or laughing at the top of your lungs.

http://www.dawn.com/news/1122387/movie-review-it-doesnt-get-worse-than-saltanat

Hahaha. On this Eid I went to Atrium Cinema and was confused whether I should watch the Saltanat or other movies. Thankfully I didn't. I chose to watch "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" and man what a movie. Loved it. Paisa wasool

This trailer is so confusing. It's basically them just showing off the special effects and big budget. It literally doesn't tell me anything about the plot of the movie. Won't be watching as it just looks like another Waar type film. Seen one seen them all.

Watched Bin Roye yesterday since it released in Dubai and decided to watch it as a moral obligation to support Pakistani cinema. It was a bit of a torture, extremely depressing and there was too much going on. Almost seemed like they had mixed 5-6 Pakistani dramas into one. Mahira Khan was the only shining light in the movie, she was impressive. Earlier in her career thought her to lack expressions but in this film she has done the comedy and sad scenes of the film pretty well.

I am really looking forward to this cuz of Ahmed Butt and Vasay Chaudhary. Both have great comic timing and this should be a very good laugh. And to top it off Mehwish Hayat <3

Any recommendations for movies similar to Bol and Khuda Ke Liye. The online reviews for Pakistani movies are quite misleading.
