Most people I know into race games like dirt rally, and since you said you like mario kart type ones go for it.

I'd go for proj cars but that's cuz I play for aesthetics and not gameplay, for most it's the other way around.

Dirt Rally looks so good, I use to be a fan of the old Colin Mcrae series on PC. Apparently it's the best rally game ever and the gameplay is incredible, from the footage it did look it

The games I got separately. But I got the PS4 Slim 500gb + COD Infinite Warfare as a bundle for £189 here in the UK from the Amazon website.

And I did manage to add Dirt Rally and WWE (including a DLC) to my list, picked both up in store at Tesco and Sainsbury's for £20 and £28.

Might be selling COD though as I have battlefield

I like how you can play as Spider-Man, aerial attacks, speed, dodging, etc.

Yeah it takes a while to get used to the fast paced nature of the combat. I also died several times in the opening level.

But that’s one of the great things about the fighting. The arial attacks and the use of surrounding areas make the game feel just like the crazy action scenes from the Spider-Man movies.

Why don't you just get a gaming PC then? You could easily play 90% of PS4 and Xbox One releases on there with keyboard and mouse, instead of having to go through the trouble of modding to use a keyboard and mouse on a console.

Yeah they don't even need to bring back GM mode they can just add the aspects of GM mode to Universe Mode. Universe Mode has come a long way and so ending it wouldn't be a great idea, however just adding the competitive side of things to universe mode such as pick one of the three brands and fighting for fan support would be great.

Another thing which they could do is a Monday Night Wars mode, where you pick either WCW or WWE and fight for the fan support on either side that would be really fun in my opinion.

I ordered WWE 2K19 anyways I'm not sure how much I will play it but I ordered online yesterday so hopefully it's a fun game.

Have you played MyCareer mode in WWE 2K17? It's pretty fun at first but it gets boring after a while, I stopped after I won the US Title, I remember for the MyCareer mode on 2K17 I created AJ Styles from when he was in TNA, tried to recreate his career, didn't really work out as well it did in real life.

PlayStation already have a livestreaming service named Playstation Now, so they aren't going anywhere. And have you seen the speeds requirements for live streaming a game? even a 1080p Project Stream(Stadia predecessor) required 25Mbps in the USA alone to work on a game(Assassin's Creed Odyssey) in which lag doesn't matter much to work properly - streaming will take over but it will take at least a decade to even get some sort of momentum going.

Network connectivity.

Running a game locally provides more advantages and options than running a game remotely. 4K at 60FPS is just not happening remotely.

PlayStation also have PS Now, monthly subscription allows you to play as many games as you want. No need to buy a game.

It's a PS4 exclusive currently, but it looks likely to release on Nintendo Switch. I'd say it's probably the best PS4 game of all time.

Very enjoyable and it felt intense till the end. It's a social commentary on social issues in Japan and creates a fantastic grey area on whether or not what the protagonists do is right, with half of the game's "world" being based on the famous Psychologist's Carl Jung's shadow theory.

Very interesting and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a thrilling experience.

Honestly, it was incredible. Beats the likes of even Chrono Trigger, FF7, Pokemon D/P/P and Xenoblade Chronicles 1 & 2.

Never seen music in a game have so much of an effect. The symbolism and thought put into the game is what makes it so fantastic.

Who's your personal favourite character by the way? For me it's probably Makoto.

Agree with Ryuji, he's a very good character. Only reason he's not my favourite is that he's reduced to "I'm going to curse and become the comic-relief character" at points. Futaba is a also a good character but she gets on my nerves in battles to be honest.

I've got it, have to say the story is very enjoyable for it's fan service (e.g Scorpion and Sub-Zero fighting together, Jade and Kitana fighting together etc) if not massively coherent, it makes the previous game's story feel weird in that you have to know what happened in the story mode of MK9 and MKX, but what happened there ultimately doesn't make much difference to the game's world by the end.

The gameplay is very good. It focuses on a more slower, tactical style but it feels more rewarding to land combos and fatal blows. The netcode for the online is amazing, runs very smooth even when playing against others with mediocre connections. The tutorials are very in-depth and will help you learn more about the mechanics.

The issue with the game comes with the Krypt and Towers of Time. These are massively grindy, forcing players to sink hundreds of hours just to get all the skins, brutalities etc while the fights are ridiculously difficult. Oddly enough, you can't buy most things through micro-transactions so even if you wanted to spend more money, you can't just pick the things you want from the store and buy them. They have patched the game to make it better but it seems quite suspicious because they knew what they were doing from the start.

Ronda Rousey voices Sonya Blade which sounds hilariously monotone, [MENTION=46929]shaz619[/MENTION] you might want to check that out if you have the time, somehow worse than the WWE promos

That's fair enough. Though, Royal has so many potential plot differences (from screen-shots and what was seen in the trailer) that it might re-tell the story completely differently than the original game, so I'll definitely be picking up both games. Shows how good of a game it is really.

I’m mostly a PC gamer (also own a PS4). I use a powerful rig for gaming, however having completed Red dead 2 on PS4 and more recently Assassins Creed: Odyssey on PC, I’m in need of new action/adventure games (on PC), however struggling to find a game.

I’m mostly a PC gamer (also own a PS4). I use a powerful rig for gaming, however having completed Red dead 2 on PS4 and more recently Assassins Creed: Odyssey on PC, I’m in need of new action/adventure games (on PC), however struggling to find a game.

Skyrim - Quite an old game but it's legendary and if you haven't played it you're missing out.

Sekiro Shadows Die Twice - Chaotic and very fun game about Japanese shinobis. It's quite difficult though so beware.

The Witcher 3 - Haven't played this one myself but it's apparently one of the best action-adventure games out there. Can't go wrong with this one.

Metal Gear Solid series - You can play 5 (The Phantom Pain) but the whole series is excellent and has a deep story. I'm sure you can get the collection sets.

Batman - Arkham Origins/Asylum - If you're into the superhero genre, this is probably the best superhero series of all time gaming wise.

Resident Evil 7 - A horror game as well as action - adventure, there's a lot to be enjoyed here. Works very well with the FPS gameplay in it too.

If Google Stadia launches then days of the PlayStation would be numbered.


Why would anyone buy a console that eventually becomes outdated rather than have a monthly online subscription that allows you to play any game without having to go out and buy it.

Playing those games soley relying on the power of servers and your internet connection at 1080p will be so laggy that it will render full gaming genres like fighting games (that require frame perfect inputs) unplayable. It's really not applicable even in 2019 and Google Stadia will likely fail. Nobody who actually understands video games thinks this is even remotely a good idea.

Also some people will not buy games if physical versions are not out there. There's literally nothing good about this digital only rubbish other than convenience that is only needed due to pure laziness. Call me a purist, but I hope this never comes to fruition.

I've got it, have to say the story is very enjoyable for it's fan service (e.g Scorpion and Sub-Zero fighting together, Jade and Kitana fighting together etc) if not massively coherent, it makes the previous game's story feel weird in that you have to know what happened in the story mode of MK9 and MKX, but what happened there ultimately doesn't make much difference to the game's world by the end.

The gameplay is very good. It focuses on a more slower, tactical style but it feels more rewarding to land combos and fatal blows. The netcode for the online is amazing, runs very smooth even when playing against others with mediocre connections. The tutorials are very in-depth and will help you learn more about the mechanics.

The issue with the game comes with the Krypt and Towers of Time. These are massively grindy, forcing players to sink hundreds of hours just to get all the skins, brutalities etc while the fights are ridiculously difficult. Oddly enough, you can't buy most things through micro-transactions so even if you wanted to spend more money, you can't just pick the things you want from the store and buy them. They have patched the game to make it better but it seems quite suspicious because they knew what they were doing from the start.

Ronda Rousey voices Sonya Blade which sounds hilariously monotone, [MENTION=46929]shaz619[/MENTION] you might want to check that out if you have the time, somehow worse than the WWE promos



That's fair enough. Though, Royal has so many potential plot differences (from screen-shots and what was seen in the trailer) that it might re-tell the story completely differently than the original game, so I'll definitely be picking up both games. Shows how good of a game it is really.

It's funny, because I have been starved of a genuine combat game in the form of fight night; before making the stupid choice to by an xbox primarily to play the older titles I realised I have a xbox 360 limited edition in pristine condition which I never played a great deal, decided to put it alongside the ps4 so I can play the older fight night games as there is no backward compatibility on ps4. Honestly they are so much fun and on another level to EA's horrific UFC titles when will that damn contract end so we can get Boxing ?

If you have a PS4 and like action/adventure games then I would recommend Horizon Zero Dawn, it's an amazing game with visceral combat, thouhgtful story and robot dinasours!

Horizon Zero Dawn was one of the best games I played last year. The production, story, and game play were just out of this world. RDR2 is in the same parallel, but way way deeper! Great games.

If you want to you can always watch those videos called "MK9/MKX The Movie" which is just a collection of the cutscenes from the those games' stories. It's not essential for playing the game but if you want to enjoy or really understand what's happening in the story then I'd say it's quite important.

I'd give it a 7.5/10, would give it a 9 or 10 however I haven't played much of The Krypt and Towers of Time due to the issues I've already mentioned in my last post about those modes and I'm not sure if the new patch to "fix" it is out yet either.

It's cool Rousey is in there and I like her inclusion but when she's having conversations with characters with professional voice actors she just sounds so out of place. It's quite funny but at the same time it ruins some of the serious interactions she's meant to have with Kano or Cassie (her daughter).

EA's UFC games are extremely boring, the UFC and gaming community hype it up and it gets a lot of publicity initally but everyone forgets the exist a month after release. Fight night was a class game which really should be brought back. Knowing EA though they'll ruin it with micro-transactions asking you to pay 3.99 for golden boxing gloves or something

Was the first game worth playing for someone who personally hates zombie game's with a passion? I heard it has great story but I never played it because zombie games are very boring to me.

First game was every minute, second and hour, I put into it to complete it... Last of us 2 will be EPIC, however the violence is a little too much for my liking..

Violence isn't an issue in games for me, however I can't stand zombie games and the plot for them always seems cliche because always based around getting a serum to stop the apocalypse.

Lol it seems like they scripted her even more then friggin WWE, you'd expect so much better from a Video Game developer though but it's not the case in this example.

Totally agree they are boring and there's just no real method to the madness to be honest, the fight night series had insane game play and they took it to another level with the career mode in fight night champion which I will be playing very soon; with FN series the main issue had always been licensing and getting the most up to date roster; it was cool that we were able to play with so many legends but at the same time it wasn't always easy to get a hold of the current talent at the time. There's a chance once the UFC contract expires that we get a new FN game, Hearns has been speaking to EA as well about the possibility but nothing set in stone at the moment.

Also, I was just playing my old Forza 3 on Xbox360 and it's the best racing game I have played then any non-rally game I have played on the PS4!! it really is the whole package when it comes to finding the perfect balance between simulation, arcade and customisation; but you bring up a good point regarding DLC content, it will unheard of to ever get a comprehensive package again unfortunately

Yeah a new boxing game seems like a rare idea because EA's current IPs are still printing money so they wouldn't care too much about bringing back FN imo.

The story of TLOU is more about the characters then anything. Some of the typical zombie plot is there but they take a bit of a back seat compared to story between the characters.

I would highly recommend it though even if you hate zombie games. It’s a game about zombie type creatures but you don’t face them very often. Plus the zombie creatures look different enough that I didn’t really think of them as zombies whilst playing.

If you like single player story driven games then TLOU is definetly for you.
