Shoaib 'Tiger' Bukhari is Bangladesh's most iconic fan and brings great energy to the matches he attends. It is really sad to see this happen to him. Do you think the BCCI will take action against the perpetrators?

When the media is trying level hard to fill all the brains of the people with hatred daily this will happen a lot.

Are you kidding me?

The biggest genocide is taking place in the Middle East right now and some people are moaning about a stuffed tiger being torn apart

Give your head a wobble.

So just because there is a war in the Middle East, do we have to be silent about everything else?
Why can't we show concern about multiple things at the same time?

This is injustice so is what's happening in Palestine

Injustice is injustice doesn't matter if its small or big

People are raising voice against injustice its not about stuffed tiger vs Palestine

Give your head a wobble sir

You can but this is concerning? Lol. There is being sensitive and then there is this.

Nothing more than banter from opposite fans.

Absolutely laughable. I hope none of you experience some real tragedies because I don't know how you will cope.

Injustice? :facepalm

Why must some Pakistan fans embarrass the rest of us?

I wonder if it will still be "injustice" if these were not Indian fans?

Think we need to worry about how we can compete with their team on the field, and not make a mountain of a mole over trivial things done by them in the crowd.

What say you?

Indians will find a way to even defend this.

There was also an India thulla that had issue with an Indian fan saying Pakistan zindabad. This country is messed up, no freedom.
Not defending this . This group of fans and that one policeman are surely idiots. And we have our share of idiots in our country .

You can choose to place your magnifying glass on this and ignore all the other 99.99% fans who have given so much love to every visiting side including Pakistan . And call our country messed up . The loss is entirely yours

Indians are very very very racist against Bangladeshi people.

Ironic part is that Bengalis are the largest ethnic group of India after the Hindis.

I have lived in Kolkata and don’t understand what you are talking about .

And however hard we try , we can’t come even 1% close to what Pakistanis did with Bangladeshis . Look who is talking 🤦‍♂️
Maybe you are talking about people from the North East - Like Assam , Meghalaya , etc . They unfortunately do face some discrimination and that is sad .

However things are being rectified there

Nothing will happen. Yesterday on X, there were so many tweets supporting the cop stopping the Pak fan.

It is a minority. A small minority indulging in this. There's plenty of evidence from most Indian grounds for this. But what has changed in India is, fringe behavior has become acceptable to the majority and they have learnt to look away.

Yes, Pakistani fans (like all sports fans) are prone to committing terrible acts as well. And our fans have done many things to embarrass us as well. There is no doubt about it and they have been documented on other threads

And obviously, we need to worry about being better on the field. All I am doing here is highlighting the behavior of certain fans. That is not to say that all Indian fans are like this. Most of them are great and fun to be around.

But the bottom line is that we should expect more from fans and cricketers alike, no matter where they are from

I have noticed that some Indians tend to attack the vulnerable.

They would not dare get hands on with Pakistanis, Afghans or their SENA overlords.

But old people on scam calls and Bengalis who won’t fight back become fair game.

This whole perception of Indians being nicey nice is false. They are mainly cowards who become lions in front of the weak.

Only Pak media spreading such fake news…. Bangladesh team accepted 7wkts defeat graciously, their board not went to make complaint to ICC

BCCI SHOULD BE BANNED FROM HOSTING ANY MORE ICC EVENTS.

This is unacceptable, disgraceful, and shameful. Pathetic hosts. They have no grace or respect for other team fans. Most horrible fans in the world are Indians.

How could it get worse than this? Are they gonna do a pitch invasion next?

Famous Pakistan chach was giving this slogan in Ahmedabad, there was no issue, then why this problem came in Bangalore? Smelling rats here…. Bcos Bangalore is in Karnataka state which is ruled by congress party…. Bangalore police comes under congress state government and not under central government where BJP is ruling. Now many things have happened in karanataka after congress came in power which were not in the national interest… therefore stopping pak fan not to shout that slogan is a part of conspiracy… objecting to that slogan who went in bad light? It’s BCCI and Bharat and not the state government

good luck with that petition.

But I do agree, this is overdoing it by miles. Should have left that poor stuffed tiger alone. No need to be obnoxious to the visitors.

Once again, let me give a sample statement for all our Indian friends

"I as an India supporter am ashamed of the behaviour of certain people for this incident"

That's all

No need to talk about Tipu Sultan, the Moghul Empire, 1971, 1972, 2089 or whatever else.

Just this incident.

Indians with justify bullying even people on this forum.

worst people to ever host a worldcup

What I say is anyone going to host countries to enjoy cricket games should be allowed to enjoy and support their team and should not face fascism racism or islamaphobia doesn't matter if they pakistani bangldeshi pink blue yellow green. If your supporting such bullying there is no diffrence between you and Israelis I don't don't know how your supporting Palestine If you don't under stand cause thats all I'm saying

Shock and horror! NOT!

This is the least to be expected when a WC is played in a country under a fascist government.

Just returning the favor. Remember Bangladeshi fans with a poster of Taskin carrying Dhoni’s head?
Get a life. Fan making poster online and physical being harassed are two different things. Ignorant person.

Get a life. Fan making poster online and physical being harassed are two different things. Ignorant person.

Think I have stopped being shocked by such comments.

Good news is that all Indians I know are nothing like such people.

There was no physical assault at least. The way that scrawny Indian guy was thrashing the tiger lazily, it is clear that is all he can do to a lifeless stuffed toy. Pathetic attitude towards opponent fans.

So, Indians attack Bengalis who are "weak" and "vulnerable" but wouldn't dare do that to strong "Afghans" and "Pakistanis"?

Indians from India always been racist and looked down towards Bangladeshis, this just proves it all. Absolute poor behaviour by them Indian fans in the stadium. If this was BD fans doing it to that guy who used to paint in tendulkars name, the Indian media would’ve went ultra mad about it and BCCI would’ve took action.

but funny thing is real life, here in UK, I see many soft spoken humble down to earth south indians at work, in general, many I helped that came recently with spouse visa and what not. I even helped a Punjabi indian boy who I get along well, he is the one told me more about khalistan, get a house from Bangladeshi landlord.

But online you’ll find most of them Indian trolling, showing bravado and acting like they're all bahubalis. But again thats online so I wont paint them all the same like an ignorant fool like some. I dont think all Indians are bad, Ive never had any problems with British born indians or any recent freshies I met. I get along with any kinds, most my friends school premier and highschool days were Briti born Pakistanis. I grew up green street area Newham borough of London, very mixed place you got all sorts races got on fine!

bro, i get your point, you are right.

But my issue is, Indians dont condemn when they are wrrong. THey come up with the typical, dont magnify this or go lengths to defend soemthing wrong. LIke the jai shri ram chants at ahmedabad.

They went on to give examples where we Pakistanis admitted we were wrong, yet they dont understan that.

There's a billion people in the country. There's gonna be some buggers in every population.

This clip is designed to rile up Pakistanis and Muslims and you guys are getting sucked in.

They're horrible and they hate us and Muslims. It's hardly news - appreciate it doesn't make it any easier to watch. You guys are going on like you're saints towards India when you're not on PP, I'd be surprised if members here didn't hold stronger views when not constrained by forum decorum.

It's not nice to see I agree. So what? Did you expect a red carpet? Conversely, do you love thy neighbour away from PP?

Extremely sad , as I said in other thread we have become full of ourselves.

As per India Today:

India vs Bangladesh: Team India fan Sudhir Gautam attacked in Dhaka

Team India and Sachin Tendulkar fan Sudhir Gautam has claimed that he was attacked by Bangladesh fans in Dhaka.

India's most celebrated cricket fan Sudhir Kumar Chaudhary, claimed that he was attacked by Bangladeshi supporters in Dhaka after India's loss in the second one-day international on Sunday. The 34-year old told a Hindi news channel that he was attacked by a mob after the second ODI against Bangladesh. Sudhir, who constantly displays his passion for Indian cricket, appears almost in all matches involving India with his body painted in tri-colour.

"When I cleared out the stadium, individuals mobbed me and began grabbing the Tricolor, breaking the handle of the fan," he said. He also added that he was pelted by stones and his auto-rickshaw was also attacked by the mob.

"Security officials came to the rescue when the unrelenting mob chased me", added Sudhir. Meanwhile, Bangladesh have provided the Indian team with maximum security.

Shameful behaviour. Unfortunately, a few in India have lost their minds, and I must admit that it's not nice. I can only hope that this is one off incident, as it hurts to see such behaviour.

@vprasanna83 see this post. This is what i am talking about. Discussion about indians being bad and they tend to play victim card by giving a source that oh look we are being treated bad aswell to justify what they do.

so before coming here and saying dont magnify us, maybe accept your faults instead of ignoring it

The main thing is that we should just condemn poor fan behavior, no matter where they are from. Banter is all good, but we should never tolerate abuse in our sport,

Lol that Indian fan was abused in BD as well check CC’s post. These “if” statements are equally silly.

I thought you were a BD fan.. stop defending Indian fans.

Shahrukh, why are you imagining things when some things are added for extra context.

I thought you were a BD fan.. stop defending Indian fans.
Where did you see any defense? I have bashed indians enough, but that doesn't mean I cannot shed light on the shadows where every one wants to focus where there is light.

This is unacceptable without any excuses. We always blame bangladeshi fans as being rude but by doing such things doesn't put us in any better light. Add to this the policeman stopping a fan from saying Pakistan Zindabad was more baffling. I have defended fans regarding the booing and chants as I believe they weren't physical or abusive. But this attack on the fan is downright wrong and strongly condemn this behaviour.

If India plans to host Olympics in the future such behaviour wouldn't go unoticed by the Olympic Organisation including not providing visas to fans and journalists which should have been provided much before teh world cup. India can do this with cricket as we have our clout here but if we do this in other sporting events like Olympics or FIFA events etc they will put us in our place (especially visas to fans and journos).

Hope the local cricket associations hosting the matches look into this and prevent such things happening in the future.

Wow another day another thread :salute
Why these people's were behaving like idiots ?
Just support own team rather than taking fight with another teams fan's .

I saw the video of Indian police trying to stop a Pakistani fan from chanting Pakistan Zindabad during the Pakistan-Australia match. Honestly, India is not fit to host international events of any kind because of their aggressive fans and clueless, inept authorities.

Sticks and stones may hurt Sudhir only but taking the stuffing from the tiger hurts the sentiments of the whole nation.

I know most of fan's enjoyed with neutral fan and support them but a incident like this is spreads normally. people's are mostly remembered negative thing so why we are giving them chance .just enjoy the world cup with each other.

I completely condemn what the police did. I am from Bengaluru and my friend had gone to teh stadium. He said teh atmosphere was very good with good support 2 both teams. in fact even Dil Dil pakistan was played several times. This incident was a black spot on what was a good day of cricket.

Cricket has always carried the tag of a 'gentleman's game,' renowned for its fair play and the friendly rapport among supporters from opposing sides. It's one of those sports where families can plan a day out, relax in the stands, and enjoy the game alongside some friendly banter, regardless of which team they are supporting. The ability of cricket fans to appreciate good play irrespective of who is playing has always set cricket apart in my eyes.

Yet, the recent incidents in India and England involving Afghans do ring some alarm bells. It's unsettling to see elements of hooliganism, often associated with football, creeping into cricket arenas. We surely wouldn't want cricket stadiums to morph into venues of animosity, akin to the hooligan culture seen in football in some places ( particularly England).

This is something that the cricket bodies, players, and we, the fans, should collectively strive for. I don't want to watch or attend games where people are at risk of being beaten up - I've been to football games where there is a chill in the air and the threat of something kicking off. It's not a nice place to be.

Bring your wife and kids, pretend to be patriotic, jump up and down, wave flags and then go home. It's that simple.

Very intimidating and muscular fellows there lol. Probably have a lot going for them in life. The one dude looked like he was struggling to lift and throw the stuffed animal. Hope they are set straight.

Where is that idiot poster now who said Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are welcome but not Pakistan.
LoL

What a wonderful show of hospitality from the Indians. Setting a fine example of how to treat your guests.

Bro - will guarantee you if Ind are awarded the Olympics our ind sports authorities will get everything taken care and get fast approvals lol for anyone and everything! In cricket ind is a monopoly- so anything goes. But for Olympics- Ind guys will do whatever it takes.. after all the only thing they care about is dollars and rupees and broadcasting deals - fans be damned lol ! But will say this. All these incidents are like 1 in a crowd of 50k plus and this applies to all other countries as well including pak.
It's just how the media is everywhere nowadays
This 1 guy's incident is highlighted and not the remaining 49.9k spectators who are supportive of both teams and friendly.. these guys are uneducated hooligans road romeo's who crave attention and the local police should deal with them with some good lathi..danda.. treatment!! 🙂😂

I don't understand hindi, but they appear to be shouting "bad boy...".

You’re missing the point. You are supposed to call these small injustices out before they snowball into things like ethnic cleansing.

It always starts small. Hitler didn’t start with gas chambers. He built up to it.

*** for tat… such little nokzoks bound to happen between cricket matches …… there is no such complaints from BD fans.. there is a possibility of that tiger may have thrown in anger on Indian fans after loosing match so badly

Point taken bro . However , I am against generalisation in any form saying “ Indians are this , Indians are that “ . Criticism of specific behaviours is good , generalisation is not .

Pakistan fans are banned from taking even mobile fans so that they can't record the bad behaviour they face there.

This is very concerning.

The ongoing India vs Bangladesh 2nd Test in Kanpur has come under scanner for all the wrong reasons following an attack on Bangladeshi fan. According to IANS report, Tiger Roby, a popular Bangladeshi fan from Dhaka, was allegedly beaten and heckled by spectators at Green Park Stadium and was taken to the hospital by local police.

According to a report by Sportstar, Roby was seen waving the national flag and chanting slogans from C block balcony, however, he allegedly got into a confrontation with some of the other spectators during the first session before the security personnel took things under control.

But during lunch, Roby alleged that he was beaten up by a few local spectators, even though the police said that it will verify the official CCTV footage and look into his allegations.

The report further states that the police at the venue denied such allegations. A police source speaking to the publication said,“One of our officers found him gasping for breath near the C block entrance, and he was struggling to speak. It seems like a case of dehydration, but we will wait for the doctors’ advice,”

Indian fans beat up that Bangladesh fan who paints himself and sent him to the hospital. I hope they don't beat up our players, worried for their safety. They may suck but they are humans.

absolutely disgraceful. BCB need to pull BD out. Don’t play the T20 series. This will hurt their image. Hindutva goons are out their to hurt BD players and fans.
