Taylor is Samoan IIRC...Also Taylor is a pehlwan type player. Dude is built, homegrown native of NZ. Islanders like him are very fit people, a lot like Samoans. Explains why despite age he always puts in work.

These are the kind of situations where senior bowlers like Abbas need to stand up. He has been struggling to do so for year, year and a half now. Without main bowlers standing up in such situations its difficult to incash any initiative.
Should go with a yorker to Taylor.
I will take a spray gun who concedes runs but also picks up 3-4 wickets in the process unlike Abbas. Ultimately wickets matter in the end and getting twenty wickets is what wins you games at the end of the day
Abbas just isn’t a professional Athlete with that poor fitness im afraid
What a catch) another reason for Shan to be dropped maybe?
Even session or may be slightly PAks favour as the RR was controlled. Next session is jogging to be crucial with the ball losing shine.
Abbas has 21 wickets in his last 10 tests. Avg 37.5
Mccullum does have some useful insight .
He was my favorite captain.
Did not always succeed but NZ looked like a different team under his leadership.
Ross Taylor is desperate to play some shots. A chance could be coming.
My jinx worked... I talked bad about Abbas and hyped up Taylor.![]()

Shan Masood holds on to one
Best Abbass spell of the series in progress.
