[VIDEO] Sarmad Bhatti - Performance Watch

Promoted to Northern's first XI and made 83* today against Balochistan. Looks to have hit some ridiculous form.

Anyway, saw some highlights and... interesting stance when facing spinners.

Good to see him promoted first XI - He must cash in with consistent score. Make yourself undroppable young man.

QeA20, Round 3, Day 3

Northern’s Sarmad Bhatti turned his overnight score of 13 into a brilliant 108 as the left-handed batsman recorded his first-class career’s fourth century. The 29-year-old crunched 13 fours and tw0 sixes and, over the course of his 226-ball stay at the crease, stitched a crucial 156-run stand for the sixth wicket with all-rounder Hammad Azam, who stroked a 120-ball 100 not out.

QeA Trophy Round 8, Day 2:

Table-toppers Sindh conceded a 221 runs first innings lead to Northern at the UBL Sports Complex. Resuming at the overnight score of 136 for two, Northern posted 321 in their first innings courtesy Sarmad’s fifth first-class century. The left-hander’s 145 was compiled off 299 balls and included 16 fours and two sixes.

Sarmad added 140 for the third-wicket with his captain Umar Amin who contributed 78 (134 balls, 12 fours).

Sarmad Bhatti - very much like Fawad Alam when playing spinners

Sarmad Bhatti looks poor, really tentative - and has missed / left most balls go - have no idea how he's a number 3 batsman - has no technique

Totally agree. His stars are way better than his batting. On the hand HA looks international class

If he is the same Sarmad Bhatti who played for Attock in the Birmingham League then he is below average and is an amateur club cricketer at best. Absolutely no way remotely is he international quality. And he looks older then his age.

He is and he wasn't that good against pace in the league either. My son has played against him and doesn't rate him.

Wow. And this type of player is exactly the type of deadwood that the old system fostered but hopefully there will be lesser of this type of player in the future when new players start coming in. Getting rid of deadwood will be a slow process.

But I assure you having seen him in the Birmingham League play in the SECOND DIVISION - he is beyond ordinary.

He plays in the first division. Prem.

He played in the parks league on Sundays, and although I haven't seen him my self, what others say isn't complimentary for the level they expect him to be.

so he played for a Sunday league team on a astro cricket pitch - which these pitches just bounce low and boundaries are 50-60 odd metres - pitch has no turn or bounce - but can skid through - but very predictable pitch[- he couldn't make any runs - he must be really poor

The pitches were turf but my lad who is a spinner said that he played him well but struggled with guys bowling around 70mph. It could be that he was out of form but the gist was that he didn't look much.

He averages above 50 in his entire career in England in the PREM division.

On a Sunday league, he was probably paid close to £200 for the game, and probably didn't care.

Astro-turf pitches aren't low and slow. They are fast and bouncy. Much more compared to a real pitch.

Did you see Usama Mir play on Sunday's? He was special.

No, mostly the Ali family- Kabir,Kadeer and the rest of the family and its a big family. He came up against Atiq Javed and said he acted as some big time player and he spoke like a road man.

Usama smashed Atiq for 32 in an over. And then got him out lol.

Sarmad Bhatti leads Northern's strong first-innings reply with his seventh FC century in QeA22

Sarmad Bhatti played a fine innings innings of 56 runs not out off 36 balls while playing for Islamabad against Hyderabad in National T20 Cup 2023-24. He hit 4 fours and 2 sixes in his innings.
