[VIDEO] "The tea is fantastic": Captured Indian pilot Abhinandan

I didn't see the video before (Abhinandan getting beaten by the mob). I watched the video today. :inti

It was pretty hardcore. He probably got the biggest beating of his life on that day until Pakistani army came to his rescue.

No wonder why he was praising Pakistani army and Pakistani tea later on. #TeaWasFantastic :inti

If this was hardcore, you don't know what happened to your 3 million sisters and brothers before Bharat helped rescue them. Be grateful, that was beyond hardcore.

Those who glorify war must pause to consider the harrowing fate that may befall a single soldier captured by the enemy. Human cruelty knows no bounds, and without the intervention of pak soldiers, Abhinandan could have faced a grim and merciless end. Such tragedies are not confined to one side of the border; they are a shared burden of humanity. One must also reflect on the anguish endured by the families of these soldiers, whose lives are forever shadowed by uncertainty and grief.

Fully support such thoughts.
Although, the tasteless tea jokes afterwards kind of ruined Pakistan’s own human gesture of returning the soldier safely. What should have been a story to appreciate Pakistan despite all the differences we had ultimately has become a matter of trolling. The title of this very thread is itself about mocking.

Agreed. There are many war mongering Indians who can be targeted for trolling instead, trolling someone you did a favor for and holding it over their head is against the etiquette of Islam. You do a favor for someone and let it be, especially someone like Abhinandan who after being captured was compliant and polite.

He did what many of the world’s population would be afraid to do. Going into a career where every time you take to the skies could be the last time.

The war mongers who sit and type up hate filled posts everyday begging for war, tweeting for war and those who spread mass hysteria and sensationalism on their tv shows, or even the politicians and military generals who sit in their ivory towers while brave soldiers (on both sides) risk their life- they are the ones who deserve to be trolled.

Yes.

The ones who glorify war while sitting behind a screen are some of the biggest cowards in the modern world.

Pressuring their government to pull the trigger with lack of proof so in their place innocent young men will risk their life, and if they perish the loser keyboard warriors won’t even know their name and will just go on about their day trying to win internet points about people living or dying senselessly.

Yes, its just in bad taste.
Provocations can be very hard to ignore but that's what separates mature persons from the rest. I have no issues with nameless internet trolls indulging in it including on our forum, but when public figures and eminent personalities start indulging in this sort of nonsense, you are just handing over the narrative and control of dialogue to street trolls and thats never going to take us anywhere. When i say this i spare no one in my own country. I have had my bad times when dark side took control of me and i too have said nasty stuff about Islam, Pakistan etc at various platforms. I regret doing that. It did me no good , neither i made any positive contribution to the society with that awful behaviour.

Everyone should proudly stand for their religion and nation.
Not sure if mocking other nation needlessly is a way to do it. Just my opinion.

Favor? Ever heard of Captain Saurabh Kalia? Google him, and read what Pakistan did to him during Kargil War, 99'.

I know reading comprehension is not your strongest suit but the thread is on Abhinandan and my post is about him. I’m not bringing in Kargil or justifying the horrors Pak committed on BD in 1971- and bringing up distant past otherwise we can keep going as far back as possible.

Nowhere did I paint Pakistan as an innocent country that has never done anything wrong ever. Read at the end about what I said about innocent men on both sides suffering consequences of reckless generals.

If you want me to comment on Saurabh go ahead and make a thread on him and I’ll condemn his torture because as Muslims we don’t believe in torturing prisoners of war. Pak doing that is their failure.

Good that you have the intestinal fortitude to accept the reality unlike Pak army.

India is doing what it can do best. Make a Bollywood movie on imaginary stuff.. This time, they chose the story of a guy whose plane got shot while doing shenanigans, and he got captured in a different country. LOL

Carry on. The best you can do.

Appears phoney. Amir Khan would never do such a movie. Most likely fake.

Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman - The legend who shot down an F-16 while flying a Mig 21-Bison, got captured in Pakistan, had a fantastic tea and was forced to return safely when his motherland threatened to rain missiles at Pakistan for him. What a story!

Absolute Chad.

Movie will be worth it.

The 'Tea is Fantastic' meme is like applying a band aid to the amputation that Indian army caused to Pakistan army in 1971.
