You overrate Sarfraz and ACC emerging cup.

Sarfraz was good but at the end fell away. The people loving him had the knives out then.

ACC emerging cup is meaningless. You can't base anything at all on it. You have over hyped what was a glorified men against boys tournament.

The captain is one small symptom of the overall problem.

I don't overrate sarfraz, if I overrated him I'd be doing a bhrangra and wouldn't highlight the flaws which I did in the previous post.

However none of this changes the fact that

A) Under him Bobby who use to bat at no 4-6 became a permanent no 3 causing Babar fans to go bhrangra mode.

B) Hafeez who was a failed opener and people use to have knives out now bless him and desperately wish he was here at no 5 and no shadab.

C) Haris sohail who wasn't regular and was still fit became a main no 4.

D) Malik returned and imad proved to be decent no 6 and 7.

E) Team won ct 2017, smacked half strength Australia 3-0 in t20, this aussie team which would absolutely murk Nz c team, Ireland and USA etc etc.

^^ All these decisions were made by sarfraz and mickey. Their issues were their oberrelaince on asif Ali and faheem ashraf. And that mickey had issues with abid Ali and inzi wanted imam push forward.

Whatever knives were out, it wasn't because sarfi did something wrong. 2018 was a similar team of 2017 with only imam being pushed forward over azhar who retired and haris sohail being the new no 4. It was the same team, Bobby was part of this set up and so was rizzu for a while and the team lost when these 2 were around. Losing is one thing and what babar does is another.

Uganada captain even after West Indies mauling is still a solid captain, he got outskilled plain and simple. Pakistan is a mid card team facing Australia, England etc before world cup so it was bound to happen.

Acc emerging cup of not meaningless if that team beat teams that are humiliating Pakistan in 2023 and 2024. It paints a reality as to how poor babar is as a captain and how poor his decisions to back shadab, Nawaz, choose an unstable middle order over genuine MO bats is.

2018 Pakistan was loosing because they were outgunned by bigger teams, 2024 Pakistan is loosing to minnow and c tier teams even weaker then the b tier sides that 2018 pakistan lost to because yes they are outgunned, they are putting themselves in a position to be outgunned by ignoring domestic, and frankly speaking even ignoring the very concept of middle orders, shuffling amd Bobby being a coward as a batter through and through. That is the reality.

Hafeez would not be complaining, nor would their be knives out for wahab and naqvi and babar etc.

Sarfraz had knives out in 2018 as a captain. 2024 has knives out for the entire Godamn unit and committee.

otoh, used the rain break to catch Pakistan vs USA replay and noticed the legend Shaheen dropping a catch off Rauf in the final over under pressure. Hoping for another legendary performance from SSA under pressure
