[VIDEOS] Pat Cummins - The Mega Discussion

Bumrah is a better all format bowler and a better test bowler as well.

Cummins is a better test cricketer though with his utility in precarious situations. He is a street smart cricketer himself and arguably the best of this generation.
Bumrah is better in tests odi and t20. Pat fans and I remember you yourself saying bumrah would average 28 to 30 this series.

I think you have been interacting too much with low iq street sweeper.

Fantastic captain's knock so far. in the 2nd inning of the 4th test against India.

This is the first time in Pat Cummins' career he has made more than 300 runs in a calendar year.

WC, WTC and just got into another final, Retained ashes away, BGT after a decade.
Leads from the front with wickets at key times, handy runs down the order too.
Just how good is this guy? He'll certainly go down as one of the GOAT captains.

what a performer for cricket Australia

ODI world cup winner

BGT winner

ashes winner

world test championship winner

all as captain

Australia captain Pat Cummins became the first bowler to reach 200 wickets in the ICC World Test Championship during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test against India in Sydney.

Another milestone to his name.

Patty Cummins makes me kinda understand how Imran Khan fans felt when they saw him live as i wasnt even born when Pakistan won their first worldcup.

But Patty is proper Australian Imran Khan. Same personality. Same Aura.

It would be even more remarkable if he does big things post retirement.

Absolutely fantastic leadership from him to turn around and lead us to 3 wins after the Perth loss.

Is there anything this guy can't win? He dint win t20 wc did he? Only thing missing?..God blesses some people as pure winners even if they don't try hard.

Some people unfortunately are born to be pure losers like constipated KL rahul. Nothing you can do.

He is also missing champions trophy now... Might win it this year..LOL

Lmao yea. Odi is aus favourite format. I actually believe tests and t20 teams of theirs are weaker. Just mentally strong In pressure games for odi and tests. They are still average In t20s.

In tests they are very much beatable.

Also learned that after securing the BGT Australia now hold every single one of their test bilateral trophies. Cummins era dominance!

Captain Cummins in doubt for Champions Trophy

Australia are sweating on scan results for captain Pat Cummins' sore ankle which will determine whether he plays in the Champions Trophy in Pakistan

Pat Cummins is no certainty to play in the Champions Trophy with Australia's captain to undergo scans on a sore ankle.

With Cummins already sitting out the Test tour of Sri Lanka for the impending birth of his child, Cricket Australia confirmed on Thursday the quick was also managing ankle pain.

Officials are unsure about the severity of the injury, or whether he will be fit to return for Australia's first match in the Champions Trophy in Pakistan on February 22.

"We'll have to wait and see when that scan comes back and see how it's tracking," chief selector George Bailey said.

"There's a little bit of work to do.

"We'll probably get a bit more information around where that's at."

The absence of Cummins would be a major blow for Australia, who have had an eye on the Champions' Trophy since lifting the 50-over World Cup in 2023.

Australia have not won the tournament since 2009, with India and Pakistan having triumphed in the two editions since then.

Mitch Marsh is Australia's vice-captain in the one-day format, having taken on the full-time role in Twenty20s.

Marsh was not picked in the Test squad for Sri Lanka on Thursday, but selectors have said he will be part of the Champions Trophy group to be named early next week.

Josh Hazlewood is also not going to Sri Lanka on his return from a calf injury, with the seamer also kept on ice for the 50-over tournament.

Australia have instead gone with Mitchell Starc, Scott Boland and Sean Abbott in the Test group.

There is the potential they could play only one quick at Galle, depending on the wicket, adding more workload to any of the trio who does play.

"Josh is working really hard and all the news of how he's responding to his recovery from the calf injury is coming along really well," Bailey said.

"It's just probably a little bit tight, given the amount of time that he would have missed and also with how we may structure up and the loads those quicks may be put under."

Needs to have test series wins in India and England.

Why is that a requirement?

Did Kohli and Rohit win Test series in NZ, SA, and England?

You have to look at overall records to assess a player's legacy.

It’s an important requirement.

I don’t rate those players. I only rate Shakib Al Hasan and that midget Mushfiqur Rahim. Below them I rate Pat Cummins and then rest. So, I have higher expectations from Patty. Your requirements seems pretty low. Haven’t seen much cricket?

I guess time to put you on ignore.

I probably watch cricket longer than you are on planet Earth. First cricket game I watched was in 1997.

Pat Cummins is an ATG and a legend. He doesn't need to win in India or England just like Kohli/Rohit didn't win any Test series in NZ, SA, and England.

Yeah nice giving tags like ATG and legend for fun 🤣

I don’t consider any of those three ATG. Don’t mention these random names. I only rate Mushfiqur Rahim. A very talented batsman coming from a talentless nation.

Former Indian wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik has reserved big praise for Pat Cummins:

“I feel he (Cummins) is the most aggressive cricketer on the planet right now. And he doesn’t do it with talking or abusing. He does it with his body language, the way he handles the media, postmatches, and prematches. He has in it, he has in him the ability to lead a group of men, and for me, he is the number one captain in the world right now."
