We aren't the most patient when it comes to young cricketers in Pakistan trying to make a name for themselves.
We have over the years seen many young cricketers come into international cricket with high hopes and a big reputation, only to be lost to the wilderness of domestic cricket. Some are never seen again, others are brought back to the international fold when way past their bet.
Haider Ali came into international cricket with a big reputation and with high hopes from fans. He was according to some going to be the golden boy of Pakistani batting alongside Babar Azam.
However his last 9 scores for Pakistan have been:
12
14
15
10
21
11
8
3
27
In 14 innings for Pakistan he just has 2 50s, including one on debut.
He looks an exceptional batsman at times with a lovely range of shots. At other times he looks rather average and plays some very ordinary shots.
One hopes that everyone is patient with him, but there is every chance that the patience may run out sooner rather than later.
