[VIDEOS/PICTURES] Morne Morkel resigns as the bowling coach for Pakistan

And he too will make no difference. Players should have people they can talk to if they need some advice but as a general role its a total waste of time. Players improve by analysing their own bowling and making adjustments.
There is always a lobby in PCB who is at benefit on every end, Inzi Misbah group has failed now they will make amends with Karachi lobby by appointing Sarfraz as captain and Umer Gul Moin khan in coaching role.

however ideal situation will be Haris Rauf as leader of the attack with Muhammad Sami as bowling coach

If things were good between India and Pakistan, ideally someone like Bharat Arun (technically sound, known for forming great rapport with bowlers) would be a perfect bowling coach (IMHO).

He was a very successful coach for India over the last decade both within and outside India (in particular, in Australia).

Morne Morkel was meant to stay the coach till the Australian tour but he left early, maybe he is too soft to take the criticism of Pakistani fans, or may be he considers his performance to be poor so he left. Whatever the reason is, we should move on and PCB should hire a guy who is technically sound and has the knowledge and experience of grooming the bowlers. Reputations mean nothing.

For the Australian Test series, I would rope in or at least try to rope in a fast bowler (whatever the nationality) who has actually performed well in Australia.

The key in Australia is the length. If you don’t get that right you will be punished on wickets where there is little margin for error.

Gul can teach nothing to Pakistani pacers when it comes to bowling in Australia. This is where PCB’s lack of awareness is exposed. They have no clue how many Tests Gul has played in Australia and what was his record like.
Yasir Arafat??

How many international wickets Shaun Tait have?
in my opinion what I've learned through my experience in any field some people doesn't perform well in one aspect of life but they know the art to teach it so probably that could be the case with Shaun Tait..

So, let's see how the same coach who supposedly did nothing for Pakistan does with another group of players.

Pakistan's former cricketer, Basit Ali, stated on his YouTube channel:

"The Pakistani bowlers think that they are bigger than cricket and Morne Morkel was nothing in front of them.”

"We got to know the difference. This is the same Bangladesh played against Pakistan, where it seemed as if Pakistan were completely on the back foot. This is the same Bangladesh that whitewashed Pakistan. The difference is of mindset, thinking and class."

India vs Bangladesh: Bowling coach Morne Morkel relishing India job

Former South African pacer Morne Morkel is relishing his new role as the bowling coach of the Indian men's cricket team during the two-match Test series against Bangladesh. After years of competing against India on the field, Morkel is excited to now be part of the team, having kicked off his coaching tenure with a stellar performance from the bowlers in the first Test against Bangladesh.

Reflecting on his first week in this new position, Morkel shared his enthusiasm: "What a wonderful week. I have always played against India and followed India after my playing days. It's wonderful to be in this environment and see how the guys operate."

The Indian bowling unit showcased their prowess, with Jasprit Bumrah leading the charge in the series opener in Chennai Test. The ace paceman took four wickets in the first innings, while Ravichandran Ashwin produced a remarkable six-wicket haul in the second innings, helping India secure a resounding victory over Bangladesh.

Morkel emphasized the importance of building experience among the bowlers, particularly with the increasing number of five-Test series on the horizon. "There is a lot of experience in this dressing room, but for the guys coming in, it's essential to ensure they fit in and evolve. They need to start thinking about setting goals," he noted.

His coaching philosophy revolves around fostering a supportive environment. "I am a believer in mapping out a journey for direction," Morkel explained. "If they can take it series by series and focus on improvement, it will be beneficial. The key is to make new bowlers, like [Akash] Deep and [Vikram] Dayal, feel at home. Once you allow them the space to learn and make mistakes, it creates a great environment."

With Morkel at the helm, the Indian bowling attack is poised to gain invaluable insights and techniques that could elevate their game further. The combination of his extensive experience as a player and his approachable coaching style is expected to bring a fresh perspective to the squad.

I have never been a fan of South Africans in charge of a team. I know Gary Kirsten won, but with time, it's looking more like, anyone (except Greg Chappell) could have been coach and that Indian team would've won the WC in India.

It's also why I've felt RCB were never going to do anything anytime soon. At least back when I used to follow IPL diligently. Not sure if the number of Saffers involved here are still big.

Since Morne Morkel took charge, India have played 10 Tests (2 against BD, 3 against NZ, and 5 against AUS).

India won 3, lost 6, and drew 1.
