[VIDEOS/PICTURES] Rishabh Pant's performance watch post-injury

As per reports, The Delhi Capitals management has confirmed that the Indian wicketkeeper-batsman, who has been out of action for nearly a year, will lead the franchise in the 2024 IPL season.

Management officials have stated that Pant, currently undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, is expected to regain fitness by the end of February. His active participation in IPL games will be contingent upon the clearance from the NCA managers.

Rishabh Pant speaking in an interview:

"The kind of accident I had I am lucky to be alive. The first part of recovery was so challenging with lots of pain but now recovery is going well,"

"More from a physical point of view because in the starting there was a lot of pain to be endured. But just looking forward to the journey till now. I think it's been going really well from a recovery point of view,"

"I felt like I couldn't face people and all, and I felt like I had to do something which gives me confidence and I wanted to support my team at the same time because I've been playing for them. I love my team all the way, so I wanted to show my support even in the worst times. So that was the idea and I think it's part of the recovery process,"

"You know as a kid, I used to think like one day I might be able to sit on the table somehow to help a team or something like that. I never thought that I will make it happen, but somehow things are in place and I am able to do it. And lucky to be able to do it.

"Hopefully, it will be an amazing experience because this is something new. Lots of love for the fans and I hope we get whatever we want from the auction, I guess.”

"Every player will remember their first price or first auction day. I think I went for 1.9 crore. And I loved it because I just played U-19 India and at that time it was crazy money for me. Really lucky to be part of Delhi Capitals.”

"Nervousness is one thing which I have to work on. Whenever you do something new or exciting, the nervousness is always there, but like I want to grow as an individual and learn whatever I can from it."

I hope and wish he recovers well. He is my fav player whatever destiny chooses for him. I hope he will play for india and make us all proud, but his health and family are more important than any game.

With such tough competition from the existing lot let's see how he could adjust in the Indian team after his comback.

I'm looking forward to his return, he's one of the most entertaining players in the world

Nasser Hussain predicts Pant comeback as India teammate is earmarked for greatness

Former England captain Nasser Hussain is hoping India star Rishabh Pant can make a successful return next year and is tipping one of his young teammates to elevate his game in 2024 and reach superstar status.

Pant has been on the sidelines since he suffered a nasty car crash at the end of last year, but the wicket-keeper/batter is making a strong recovery and is expected to return to the playing field prior to next year's ICC Men's T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the USA.

Hussain has been a long-time fan of Pant and his attacking philosophy and wants to see the talented 26-year-old return in time to make an impact in 2024.

"That was such a serious accident. The whole world held its breath and it has been a slow recovery,” Hussain said.

"You follow on social media, on my phone and the initial first walking steps to then scenes in the gym and then scenes of him playing a bit of cricket, scenes of him with Ricky (Ponting).

"I travelled with Ricky in the summer in the Ashes, and Ricky was texting him ‘how's the progress coming along’, and he is a box office cricketer.”

With Pant sidelined, KL Rahul has stepped up in his absence to keep wickets and had an excellent tournament at the recent ICC Men's Cricket World Cup when amassing 452 runs at an average of 75.33.

"India have done well without him (Pant) as KL has come in and been brilliant in all formats," Hussain noted.

"They'll continue to be brilliant. They're lucky to have both of them, but Rishabh Pant, before his injury, was box office, and hopefully after his injury, will be box office as well."

While India have a plethora of strong batting options at their disposal, it is young opener Shubman Gill that Hussain is tipping to thrive in 2024 and beyond as he attempts to take his game to the next level and become one of the star players in the world.

"He (Gill) had a very good three quarters, or nine tenths of 2023. You must have learned so much having the likes of Rohit Sharma at the other end," Hussain said.

"He just fell away maybe at the end. Maybe that illness, you know, just got to him a little bit, and he's formed just in a month. We take it far too short when we're in the broadcasting world. He's a super talent, and he's going to be the next sensation for India for years to come. So, hopefully, he'll have a good 2024."

"During The Accident, I Was...": Rishabh Pant Opens Up On Near-Fatal Car Crash

Fans are eagerly waiting for the commencement of the 17th edition of the India Premier League. The cash-rich T20 league is slated to begin in March and it will bring many breathtaking moments from the field of cricket. However, another thing for which everyone is waiting is the return of wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant. The Delhi Capitals skipper suffered severe injuries in a massive road accident in December 2022 and has been out of action, since then. However, he is set to return on field in the upcoming season of IPL.

Recently, Pant opened up about the horrific, near-death experience he had during the accident, which took place at the Delhi-Dehradun highway.

"First time in my life, I felt like my time in this world is up. During the accident, I was aware of the wounds, but I was lucky as it could have been even more serious. I was feeling that someone saved me," Pant said on Star Sports series 'Believe'.

"I asked the doctor how long will it take for me to recover, he said it would take 16-18 months. I knew I had to work hard to cut this recovery time," Pant added.

Earlier, former India pacer Zaheer Khan had stated that the selectors might think not include Pant for the T20 World Cup 2024 even if he performs well in the upcoming IPL season.

"If you see Rishabh Pant's journey, the turn he has gone through is not easy for any player. Firstly, everyone who is attached to cricket will be happy once he comes back on the field. He has a lot of hurdles to cross," Zaheer had told during a discussion on Colors Cineplex as quoted by Sportskeeda.

"Firstly, he has to come back and play. It's not easy at this level. You need to get used to it and get the rhythm back. Those things might take time. It's great if it doesn't. However, keeping all things in mind, even if he has a very good IPL, I don't think the team will be thinking in that direction," he added.

While talking to a local sports media Rishabh Pant has revealed that he feared the amputation of his right leg in the aftermath of the horrific car crash he survived:

"If there was any nerve damage, there was a possibility of amputation. That is when I felt scared."

"I had taken an SUV, but what I was seeing was a sedan."

"There was someone around so I asked if he could help getting the leg back in the position. He helped the knee get back in place."

"It was the first time I had such a feeling in life. At the time of the accident, I was aware of the wounds, but I was lucky as it could have been even more serious."

"I am focusing on recovery cut off from the world. It helps me in recovering fast, especially when the injury is so serious. For recovery you have to do the same thing every day. It's boring, it's irritating, it's frustrating, but you have to do it."

"Till the time I start playing cricket, I don't want to plan much for the future. I asked the doctor how long will it take for me to recover. I told him that everybody is speaking different things, but you will give me the most clarity about it."

"He (Doctor) said it would take 16 to 18 months. I told the doctor from whatever timeline you give me, I will reduce six months from it."

I don't see Pant coming back into the Indian side for the next 2 years. He has been out of cricket for so long and his injuries are serious. The coming IPL will tell us how far he has recovered.

Pant confident of full comeback ahead of T20 World Cup

Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Ponting said that Rishabh Pant is confident of making a full return to competitive cricket in the Indian Premier League (IPL), months ahead of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024.

A key player to the India setup, Rishabh Pant, missed out on international and domestic cricket after he sustained injuries in a horrific car accident in December 2022. He missed major international events for India including the ICC World Test Championship Final and the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup in 2023.

After an arduous road to recovery, Pant was confident of getting back into full fitness and playing a major role in the upcoming season of the IPL. The T20 competition will be the last outing for India's international players before the T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the USA.

Speaking in Melbourne after unveiling his appointment as the coach of Washington Freedom (a Major League Cricket franchise), Ponting – the coach of Delhi Capitals, the team captained by Pant – talked about the 26-year-old's prospects in the upcoming edition.

"Rishabh is very confident that he's going to be right to play," Ponting said. "In what capacity, we're not quite sure yet. You would have seen all the social media stuff, he's up and about and running well."

"But, in saying that we're only six weeks away from the first game as well. So we're not sure if we'll get wicketkeeping out of him this year. I'll guarantee if I asked him now he'll say, 'I'm playing every game, I'm keeping every game and I'm batting at No.4.'"

"That's just what he's like, but we'll keep our fingers crossed. He's obviously our captain. We missed him incredibly last year."

Ponting said that getting any contribution from Pant would be a bonus for the Capitals.

"If you understand the journey he's been on the last 12-13 months, it was a horrific incident. One that I know he feels very lucky to have even survived, let alone have the chance to play cricket again.

"We'll just keep our fingers crossed and hope that he can be out there and play. Even if it's not all the games, if we can manage him through 10 of the 14 games or whatever that might be then whatever games you can get out of him will be a bonus."

A successful appearance in the IPL will be a litmus test for Pant before an eventual comeback to the national side. The Indian management would be optimistic that the player, boasting 4123 runs and 25 fifty-plus scores in international cricket while donning multiple roles for the team, can contribute to the upcoming T20 World Cup.

The upcoming showpiece event will take place between 1 June to 29 June, with India playing their first match against Ireland on 5 June.

I don't think he can field in the outfield. He is a keeper and should stick to it after his comeback.
He has done fielding in the outfield prior to his injury.i think he may not field much or may stay at mid on.All other teams may give him enough leeway this time

I don't think that he is fit enough after that serious accident to field. He can be a keeper batter only if we think about his injury.

I was hoping he'd be fit for this ENG series. Didn't happen.

Would be nice seeing him in AUS again later this year.

Pant will play just as a specialist batter. Is he going to field somewhere as well or sitting on the bench and just come out for batting? Seems impossible for this to happen. He has to field if he is not wicket-keeping.

Rishabh Pant to play as pure batter for 1st half of IPL 2024: Parth Jindal

Delhi Capitals' co-owner Parth Jindal confirmed that star wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant will lead DC in the IPL 2024 but will not keep wickets for the first half of the season, which entails seven games. Parth revealed that Pant has started his wicketkeeping drills and is actively engaging in batting and running sessions.

"Rishabh is batting. He's running. He has started his wicketkeeping. He is likely to be fully fit for the IPL. I am expecting Rishabh to play IPL and he will lead from match one. First seven games, we are going to play him only as a batter and depending on how his body reacts, we will take a call for the rest of the IPL," Jindal said while speaking to ESPN Cricinfo.

Pant has made significant progress since a potentially fatal accident in December 2022. The youngster played a few practice games in Alur and shared an Instagram video of his goalkeeping. Pant's return will significantly benefit the Capitals.

With Andre Nortje missing several recent matches due to a back injury, Jindal said the Proteas pacer is ready for their first game. Nortje has been a consistent member of the Capitals' lineup since joining in 2020. He has 53 wickets for the franchise, including 22 in the 2020 season at 23.27. Nonetheless, Nortje missed key tournaments such as the 2023 World Cup, SA20, and the multi-format series against India.

"He's fit. Right now, he is bowing at 80% intensity. Next week, he will bowl at 100%. He's going to make his comeback in the IPL. He is going to join our camp and should be good to go for our first game," Jindal added.

Jindal also suggested that Harry Brook could tonk the ball while batting in the lower middle order (at six). The Capitals co-owner appeared to be pleased with Tristan Stubbs' outstanding SA20 season and Mitchell Marsh taking over as Australia's T20 captain.

"We feel very confident, the balance of the team is a lot better with Rishabh coming back in. We have a very good squad and a lot of options with players like Tristan Stubbs, who had a phenomenal SA20 (with SA20 2024 champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape), and Mitch Marsh becoming captain of Australia's T20I team."

IPL has a "Impact Player" rule. You can sub out any one player at any time.
Then it looked okay else I was not sure that it could happen. The impact player rule has made it easy for franchises to have some say on the game situation and to change it anytime.

Former India captain Sourav Ganguly, who is now the Director of Cricket at DC, has revealed that Pant is likely to get clearance from the National Cricket Academy (NCA) on March 5, as he told a local media outlet:

"Let Rishabh get cleared on March 5, only then we'll talk about captaincy backups. We are taking a cautious approach with him because he has a very long career ahead of him. We don't want to push him in excitement. We will see how Rishabh reacts. He will be joining the camp once NCA gives him the clearance. We will see match by match. We can't predict."

"As for wicketkeeping options, there's Kumar Kushagra. Ricky Bhui has had a very good season. There is Shai Hope and Tristan Stubbs. Rishabh coming back fit is a huge addition for us. We hope he plays the full season because he is a very special player. We have worked on some domestic players who have done well in all formats, but Rishabh is very important."

Pant is attempting to return from a major car accident in December 2022 and make his comeback to professional cricket for the Capitals later this month.

The wicket-keeper/batter has already stepped up his recovery by appearing in a series of match practice sessions alongside India teammate Hardik Pandya at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).

Speaking to Sanjana Ganesan on the latest episode of The ICC Review, Ponting said he is expecting Pant to captain the side from the start of the tournament should his fitness allow.

“It's a big decision we'll have to make because if he is fit, you'd think he'd step straight back into that captaincy role,” Ponting said.

“If he's not entirely fit and we have to use him in a slightly different role, then we've got some decisions to make there.”

BCCI secretary Jay Shah while talking to media:

"He is batting well, he is keeping well. We will declare him fit very soon. If he can play the T20 World Cup for us, that will be a big thing for us. He is a big asset for us."

"If he can keep, he can play the World Cup. Let's see how he does in the IPL."

Rishabh Pant Lifts Lid On Scary 'Leg Amputation' Discussion With Doctors After Horrific Car Accident

Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant is all set to light up the IPL 2024 after being declared fit by the BCCI. Pant will make a return to cricket after a long hiatus due to a tragic car accident in December 2022. Pant opened up on his tragic accident and revealed that the doctors spoke about his leg amputation.

Rishabh Pant was recently declared fit by the BCCI for IPL 2024. Pant has been out of action since the tragic accident in December 2022. Pant underwent surgery and completed a grueling 14-month rehab to attain peak fitness before the IPL.

Pant expressed delight over the triumphant comeback and said that he wants to go out and have fun during the IPL. The wicketkeeperbatter also opened up on the challenges of being away from the game and said that it takes a toll on a player after a certain time.

“Amazing feeling. This was the thing we were waiting for. It's been so long. I think you can still cope with a layoff of three to six months. But when it goes beyond that, it starts taking a toll. I just want to go out there and play and have fun. Not thinking about the future too much, because (then) you put too much pressure on yourself. Looking forward to each day as it comes,” Pant said as quoted by TOI.

During the long hiatus, Pant visited religious pilgrimages across India. The 26-year-old said that the visits helped him concentrate on himself. Pant said he felt he was saved by something spiritual as things could have been worse for him given the magnitude of the accident. He revealed that the doctors even spoke about his leg amputation.

“You become more disciplined if you are spiritual. It's a personal choice. It helped me concentrate on myself. When my accident happened, I felt something spiritual saved me. With the kind of accident I had, I only got my knee injured but I can't even imagine how much worse it could have been. Doctors even spoke to me about amputation. I always thought about God. This has given a different view altogether. I know someone is watching over me,” he added.

There were a lot of speculations about Pant's role in the IPL 2024. Delhi Capitals Director of Cricket Sourav Ganguly said that Pant will only play as a batter in the first half of the tournament, however, the BCCI declared him fit as wicketkeeper-batter. It will be interesting to see if Pant takes the glove from the first game itself. Meanwhile, he will also return as DC captain. The Capitals were led by David Warner in the previous edition.

'Feels like I'm going to make my debut again': Rishabh Pant grateful to return to cricket

India star Rishabh Pant is close to making a comeback after a gap of more than a year.
Rishabh Pant was involved in a near-fatal car crash in December 2022 that put him on the sidelines for 14 months.

Pant had to undergo extensive rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) after undergoing surgery on the three ligaments in his right knee, along with addressing various other injuries.

However, there’s finally light at the end of the tunnel for Pant, who was medically cleared to return by the NCA on Tuesday, 12 March.

BCCI said in their statement that Pant will return to playing competitive cricket in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as a wicket-keeper batter.

"I'm excited and nervous at the same time. It feels like I'm going to make my debut again," Pant said in the media release issued by the Delhi Capitals.

"To be able to play cricket again after everything I've been through is nothing short of a miracle. I'm grateful to all my well-wishers and fans, and most importantly, the BCCI and staff at NCA. All their love and support continue to give me immense strength."

Pant is currently a part of the pre-season training camp in Visakhapatnam, where they will play their first two games.

Ponting on Pant's Delhi return | ICC Review
In the latest edition of the ICC Review, Delhi Capitals coach and ICC Hall of Famer Ricky Ponting gives his insight on how wicket-keeper/batter Rishabh Pant will reintegrate into the IPL setup.

On the recent episode of the ICC Review, Ricky Ponting, the coach of Delhi Capitals, revealed that Pant’s preparation for the upcoming season has been on track and he has been a part of a few practice games in the lead-up.

“He's actually played some practice matches over the last couple of weeks, which has been really encouraging for us,” Ponting said on the ICC Review.

“I know he's worked incredibly hard on his body and his fitness to get back to the level that he's at now. He's kept in one of those games, he's fielded in these games and the batting hasn't seemingly been an issue for him so far.

Pant’s return to competitive cricket also bodes well for India, who could be looking to have him back for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024 in June.

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah had revealed that Pant would be in contention for a T20 World Cup spot if he can play the role of wicketkeeper-batter and a good IPL season with the bat and gloves would strengthen his case for inclusion in the squad.

Indian wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant said while interacting with cricket legends on a podcast interview:

"As a batter I would say look to cut the ball rather than punch it. Australia is the best place to cut and pull. Also, you need to have extra pace (in bowling department). 130s are the best to face in Australia even if the ball is moving around. I think it makes a lot of difference (having pace)."

"Over a period of time, new people come to the team and every time you may not see them perform. But when they do it is important to keep their head down and not think too much. Jaiswal is someone who is very down to earth and if he keeps doing what he is doing then he is going to go a long way."

If not for riches and ecosystem provided by IPL, Pant likely would have received perfunctory support from BCCI and very likely lost for good.

Then you hear one liners like ''i"D lIKe hIM tO sKIp IPL''. :ROFLMAO:

Ricky Ponting said while interaction with press:

"We missed him (Pant) incredibly last year. The whole tournament missed him. Rishabh brings so much energy to the team."

"He's got that smile on his face, he's hitting the ball as good as ever and he tends to lift all of his teammates around him."

Rishabh Pant while speaking to a digital media interview, highlighted his journey of rehabilitation:

"Firstly, rehab is very irritating. The worst thing about rehab is that you have to do the same thing again and again. At the same time, you have to do it because you don't have any other choice. It's boring. You have to do the same stuff, you have to see the same people, but you have to do it at the end of the day. The more boring you do, the better you get."

"People in NCA were very welcoming. It's easier said than done - you are feeling frustrated and take it out on people. At the same time, when they take it in a good sense, like, 'he is also going through a tough time. He needs to recover.' Every time, you are not in the same mood. During such a long injury period, you are bound to get frustrated. During that period, the NCA was very supportive."

"Really confident [about] getting back on the field. It's been amazing. I feel so happy when I go to the ground. I think the love of cricket has gone up. I used to love it more than anything before also. Still, there is an increase in that. I just love being on the field."

Sunil Gavaskar, while talking to a local sports channel:

"It'll be very difficult. But the good thing is he (Pant) has played some cricket. So he has got some practice. To get fluency in batting is a little tough."

"When you talk of a knee injury, the pivoting that takes place. Wicket-keeping is difficult as well, but even in batting, the knee is quite important. So, maybe, in the beginning, we won't see the real Rishabh Pant that we are used to."

Pant will be back in action in a few minutes from now as his team Delhi Capital is facing off against Punjab kings in the IPL 2024 match 2.

Pant's recovery journey genuinely deserves a Bollywood movie :D

So far, he's failing to hit the ball from the middle of the bat. But I'm sure he'll get there in no time

And he's gone for 18 (13) as he fails to propery connect a ramp shot. Looked a but rusty today, but he'll get there

Happy to see him playing cricket again after such a terrible accident.

Today, he didn't seem very energetic, but I hope that in upcoming matches he will find his rhythm.

Former England pacer Stuart Broad, who is on commentary duty for IPL 2024, made a statement during the match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals:

“Rishabh Pant is the most fearless batter I have played against, don’t be surprised if he tries to hit a boundary in the first ball.”

Former India opener Navjot Singh Sidhu says wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant's return to form is just a "matter of time" following his nearly 15-month-long absence from professional cricket after a horrific car crash. While speaking on a program on an Indian sports channel:

"(He is) leading Delhi Capitals and running between the wickets and playing good cricket. Just a matter of time he will regain his form. But, importantly, Indian cricket has got its fine gem back, and we should be thankful to God on his return to the field."

"When this accident had happened I saw the picture of the vehicle. Everything got burned, and there was no vehicle at the scene. How anyone can survive that sort of horrifying accident?"

"Post that, we were in assumption that whether the operations will succeed or not, but all went well for him. And in the process of physiotherapy when the removal of plaster happens your body doesn't move at all which is a very painful experience for anyone... from that condition, he is out now."

Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper Rishabh Pant will be playing his 100th Indian Premier League (IPL) match for the franchise when he takes to the field against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Thursday, becoming the first player to do so for his team. The attacking left-handed batter has been loyal to the franchise since his IPL debut in 2016. In 99 matches played for DC so far, Pant has scored 2,856 runs at an average of 34.40 and a strike rate of 147.90, with a century and 15 fifties in 98 innings.

Delhi Capitals Captain Rishabh Pant Handed Hefty Fine For IPL Code Of Conduct Breach

Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper Rishabh Pant was fined for maintaining a slow over-rate during his side's Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Visakhapatnam on Sunday. DC defeated CSK in an exciting clash by 20 runs and the highlights of the match were Pant's return-to-form knock of 51 in 32 balls and a late cameo by MS Dhoni of 37* in 16 balls while chasing 192 runs for CSK.

The league issued a statement announcing Pant's offence. He was fined Rs 12 lakhs because it was his team's first offence of the season under the league's Code of Conduct.

"Rishabh Pant, the Delhi Capitals captain, has been fined after his team maintained a slow over rate during their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match against Chennai Super Kings at the Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam on March 31," said a statement from the IPL.

"As it was his team's first offence of the season under the IPL's Code of Conduct relating to minimum over rate offences, Pant was fined Rs 12 lakhs," the statement added.

I was just asking for clarity which you have made clear on this particular post.

I think his international career is over. It seems the parade has long sailed by.

Pant, the lone warrior for DC at the moment. He played some cracking shots for his 55(25) against KKR.

T20 was never Pant's format. Hope he uses this format to get back into Test match form. I am not sure he is 100% fully fit yet. So far ii say 80%.

Former Australia captain Michael Clarke shared his insights on Rishabh Pant's performance against Kolkata Knight Riders during a live program on a local Indian sports channel:

“It's great for Indian cricket, but it's also great for Rishabh Pant. I think the work that has gone into his rehab to get back to that level of play at any standard is an amazing achievement. He deserves a lot of credit for his hard work and it's great to see him on the field, captaining and playing well, batting and keeping. He looked a little bit sore, a little bit ginger, I saw the Delhi physio run out to the field a couple of times to check on him, so hopefully he's pulled out okay, the positives are in the presentation he said he was fine and hopefully a day off or a couple of days off and he will be ready for the next game. He's a wonderful player and everybody is happy that he's back on the field and we want to see him play for Delhi, but we also want to see him come back and play for India as soon as possible."

Big Bad News For Rishabh Pant: Delhi Capitals Captain On Brink Of Ban For Code of Conduct Breach

Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant, who has made a great comeback to cricket after recovering from injuries sustained due to a horrific car crash, was on Wednesday fined Rs 24 lakh for a second over rate offence in the 2024 Indian Premier League. Pant was guilty of maintaining a slow-over in the game against Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday. The rest of his teammates were fined 25 percent of their match fees. "Rishabh Pant, the Delhi Capitals captain, has been fined after his team maintained a slow over rate during their TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match against Kolkata Knight Riders..." said the IPL in a statement.

I dont think any team can keep a player like Pant away from their playing 11. He is a great player and India should not rush him back and risk a career ending injury. He is clearly hurting and need more time to recover. IPL is a very long tournament and it would not be wise to play him in another two month tournament right after IPL finishes.

He's 100 percent playing in the T20WC barring some unforeseen and unfortunate event.

and he should be playing. All other keepers are not as impactful like Pant is. It looks like he never got injured. Doing 100 percent fine.

Not true.

Both Samson and Kishan have been super impactful this IPL

Pant looks even better than before somehow.

He used to try too hard in t20's. And was at least 7-8 kg overweight.

He fitter and has better shot selection for t20's. Wirk he must have put behind the scenes in uncertain times.
