A very average bowler don’t know why fans want him in the Pakistan squad he’d get smashed.

We have to do with Nouman and sajid because the cupboard is bare for spinners

No real spin talent coming through Pakistan just bang average spinners atm
 
Raza Hasan should be kicking himself.

The lad could have played a lot of international cricket if he had kept on the straight and narrow and become so indisciplined.

He could have been a better bowler than these Sajids, Naumans and Zafars put together.

What a shame as raza hasan was a world class bowler and had the craftiness to set up a batsmen.

Pakistan need to do a talent hunt for mystery spin bowlers

Been a struggle for him so far this season.

Good effort with the bat - 62 against Lancashire.
 
He is handy batter but there is nothing to write home about his bowling.If he can improve his bowling then he will a very useful player.

Essex beat Gloucestershire by 9 wickets. Gloucestershire managed to extend the game beyond lunch with Zafar Gohar aggregating 110 runs and five wickets - but the search for a first Championship win continues as Essex reached their target of 79 with ease.

Thanks to Zafar Gohar, Gloucestershire achieved some respectability reaching 252 in their second innings before being bowled out. The 27 year-old Pakistani, by virtue of disciplined clean hitting, posted 81 from 75 balls that included 13 boundaries, three of them maximums.

Zafar Gohar ends up on 4/93 - not that bad considering what's happened to other bowlers from his team
 
Harmer averages 22 while Zafar averages around 37 with the ball in county div 1, so there is a clear difference in class when comparing with a quality spinner currently. Zafar is more like the English spinners bowling in country circuit currently as most of them also have similar stats under these conditions. With bat though Zafar has scored 3 50s so far with over 5 40 plus scores overall. Considering the lack of quality in our spin bowling department maybe worth investing in spinners who can bat as well for now as its not like the ones who are playing as specialist spinners are offering much more potency with the ball.

Another good effort with the bat from Zafar - 53 off 41 balls which included 6 fours.
 
It's a Shame he can't bowl for toffee because he would make an excellent 8 because of his batting. But the worse part is that the other left arm spinners are just as bad, if not worse.

Will take him over Yasir and Nauman Ali not sure even Nawaz is a better option then him especially as I think Zafar will contribute more with the bat then Nawaz who is a tailenender.

What your comparing is a very poor spinner with other terrible spinners. It's time they looked outside all of these guys, and obviously it's not guaranteed that they would be any better, but surely they can't be any worse than the mediocrities we have selected.

At the moment not much options. Guys at junior level are atleast going to take couple of full seasons (That is if they play most of the main team matches).

So better stick to spinners who can bat then the ones who can neither bat much, nor ball much and are nothing much in the field as well.

Its a terrible situation. Its incredible to think that Gohar looked a better bowler at the U19 level than he does now. As i said Asghar has something but lacks the intelligence to realise what he has. He is no World beater but better than the dross we have at the moment.

Asghar's issue is that he is neither bringing in domestic bowling numbers nor he can bat. In terms of potential he was right up there in the radar until 3-4 years ago. He has been even part of test squads but, could not maintain or improve on that initial skillset and reputation. Still young so I hope he turns it around but, as it stands now its not looking easy.
