[VIDEOS] Talent Spotter : Mohammad Hasnain

Apparently he got NOC for the whole T20 Competition. Very surprising.

Probably couldn’t bowl at that pace more than 5-6 overs anyways and wouldn’t be able to come back for 3rd 4th spells

He has been asked to return with immediate effect. Good.

No point him coming back and just warming the bench. Better get a chance to play.

His chances are good

i) Sindh is short on pacers
ii) Sarfaraz is captain and will want to see MH bowl in FC
iii) Teams will quickly realise on these pitches you need someone who can offer something different (e.g. extra pace).

It was wrong decision from PCB to give him NOC for the whole tournament to start with. I can understand players wanting to play T20 league cricket but it shouldnt be happening at the expense of improving their longer formats skills. Shadab, Hasnain, Shaheen etc are still young and will get number of opportunities in their careers.

Thanks.

I think this is extremely unprofessional from the PCB, if the intent was to give him the NOC till the time the domestic season starts in Pakistan it should have been clarified to him and his franchise from the beggining, but they gave him the NOC for the entire tournament and now have very abruptly taken it back therefore putting the franchise in a predicament. Unprofessional actions and decisions like this are going to make franchises very reluctant to sign Pakistani players in the future and to take PCB NOC's seriously.

Mohammad Hasnain summoned back to Pakistan from Caribbean Premier League

Pakistan pacer Mohammad Hasnain has been summoned back home from the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL 2019). Hasnain, the 19-year-old, who grabbed eyeballs this year for hitting speeds of 150 kph after he was picked by Quetta Gladiators, had sought a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to head to the West Indies.

Reportedly, Hasnain could play the entire tournament for Trinbago Knight Riders but it has now been revoked by the PCB with the aim of bringing the 19-year old back to play the Quaid-e-Azam trophy.

He had played only two first-class games but ended up with 12 wickets in 28 overs with an economy rate of 7.50. His performance earned him a maiden call-up to the Pakistan one-day team in March and a World Cup spot in July.

Hasnain was part of Kieron Pollard’s Knight Riders side, who are off to a good start in the tournament. He took the crucial wickets of Chris Gayle and Chadwick Walton in TKR’s win against Tallawahs.

Can Hasnain break Shoaib Akthar's record (161 KMH)? He definitely has a good chance.

Great prospect for Pakistan. Should be looked after well.

Zakir Khan in charge of giving NOCs. PCB messed it up quite badly

He should have played the entire cpl or come back for the SL series.

They will grind him to the ground in FC cricket.

Also highly unprofessional for the pcb to revoke the NoC like that. Someday someone will drag them to the court.

Why PCB is calling him if they are not giving him chances? He could get better experience play CPL.

I am assuming with Wahab retiring, they are calling him back to get him some FC games and hope he looks good enough to be picked for Tests in Australia.

According to a journalist

His NOC has been cancelled.

Wahab Riaz is no longer going to Australia for test matches (Mohd Amir has retired from Test cricket already). Now PCB is getting desperate, so they recalled Husnain. So they can see if he can play test matches.

Misbah today

"It's very unfortunate for us that all the cricket Hasnain has played has been 4 over cricket. Even now he was in CPL, he hasn't bowled much in the longer version. Waqar bhai was working with him to make him stay in the field for 3.5 hours and bowl 10 overs and we'll try to ready him for the series. We'll see how we can use him. Ideally we'll try to play him"

Got Ahmed Shehzad and Umar Akmal out in his spell at the National T20 Cup.

This is the right strategy. blood him slowly. Don't increase his workload too much. His body needs to adapt. Remember He is still growing.

6/19 vs Sri Lanka in the Emerging Asia Cup. Last 8 balls = 5 wickets for 2 runs. 3 of them bowled, 1 LBW.

Sensible thing, he is not being hurried up to test cricket , needs at least one full season of FC cricket to graduate him to test cricket, he will be almost 21 then , will be ready for test then.

Lovely spell from Hasnain. Beat a few of the Sri Lankans by sheer pace.

Looks like a slightly shorter run-up too which is a good thing.

I hope I’m proven wrong but I don’t think he will have a very long career for the Senior side.

I disagree he is.the most unrefined of the 3 (ssa, naseem and him) and in some ways I think he might have the.most potential of the 3 he is as quick as Naseem but with additional 3 inches in height and possibly bowls the most heavy ball among the 3 his control.is getting better and very soon the 3 might be playing together

Hasnain: If I had to pick one Test cricket from the past to bowl with, I'd pick Waqar Younis because I really like his bowling action, aggression and his skill. I'd like to bowl with him. If I could bowl with any recent Test cricket, I'd pick Shaheen Shah Afridi because I like him and he's really talented.
