I clearly remember posting before ct 2017 that a scandal was occurring when it comes to tickets. People on here tired to claim there wasn't. Now they are seeing it with their own eyes.

EXACTLY. I had read this thread before the game and disregarded it as another conspiracy theory. However, watching the game on TV, you barely saw any Green, all Blue. And this whole, "not enough supporters, applicants, etc." are all hard to believe. Yes, we have been AWFUL against India in World Cups, but that does not stop fans from turning up at the match or supporting the team in general. Plus, we as supporters are still high and expectant on the CT win(a problem in itself for the fans, players, and nation alike) so everyone went into the match with that nostalgia and hope still there. What exactly went on with ticket allocation, who knows? If it really WAS just Indians "being more organized" and "more prepared to buy" and "more financially capable" then ALL credit to them. We as Pakistanis are 100% to blame to get ourselves into all these messes we are in currently as we never fortified ourselves, so that no outside influences can affect us. All that being said, it's still a mystery as to how there were so many Indian supporters.

We dont need to see this in UK grounds, leave that for indian base.

All games in the uk should be 50/50 split apart for eng games as they are host nation, if the other team cant fill then they can give the opposition more tickets, only then.

All i can say if NZ game has similar amount of pakistan support then pak will win.

Crowds really intimidate the opposition.

Could be the case. However, this is where mental conditioning of our players(if there is such a thing for them) comes in. I am not competing anywhere near the international stage. However, I know personally I only get more pumped up and focused when I have the opposition fans in my face or someone rooting against me. It should just spur you on. Little off topic, but I don't think our players use that to their advantage. They simply get intimidated.

Not really, I have heard tons of stories of Pakistanis buying tickets then selling it to Indians ten times the price. And who can blame them. If I buy 2 tickets for 400 and sell them for 5 grand I'd consider it good business.

Barcelona tanked Liverpool 3-0 at home but got battered 4-0 in the reverse fixture and home support surely made a difference. Also, when Pak played Eng at OT in a T20 three years ago, Eng players melted under the extreme support Pakistan had that day. But yeah, handling pressure in adverse conditions is a great attribute to have.

What you will see or not see in a ICC event will depend on ICC. Not you.

i recall Arsene Wenger saying no one wants to goto Anfield in the CL and all presenters were looking at him. Barcelona are the best side in the world and they got whopped, the crowd was the 12th man.

you've a very wishful thinking. But reality is different.

Do you know why league of nations (formed after first WW) failed?

One main reason was, USA didn't sign up for it. The day USA leaves UN, it will collapse to the ground.

In every field, there's a necessary evil. BCCI does looks after its own interest. There's no denying that and every entity does. But, if BCCI isn't there, then there will be a power struggle which will destroy ICC and to the brink of cricket as a whole.

You are talking about PCB and BCB. Remember what happened when BCB rejected sending its team to pakistan? All hells broke lose and these two boards were throwing muds at each other.

Do you really believe, even if financially possible (which isn't but hypothetically speaking, let's assume they do) these boards can work together? The absence of BCCI will create a power vaccum which will create power struggle among those boards who would have stood up against BCCI.

Remember Libya? As long as Gadaffi was there, all the people from different tribe were fighting with unity. Once the war was over, the power struggle runs till today. That's what human psychology is. That's what greed does which no one can evade. The sooner you will learn this, quicker you will be able to accept basic facts of life.

it works with team that relies on outbursts to drive them. Pakistan tops the list. It needs an emotional performance from the players in order to break the shackle and move forward.

But teams like Aus or India are too clinical. Whatever happening in the crowd, they try to minimize it. Whatever happening in the media, positive or negative, they try to ignore it and over the years, they have learnt the art of staying away from such factors and hence, became neutral to these types of elements. So it will be case to case basis. While it may play a great part for pakistan, it could be negligible for india or aus.
