Not really.Smith's Saffers has a phenomenal record away from home. Just like for SC teams it's harder to beat SENA away, for SA, it is harder to beat India and Pakistan in Asia. They have beaten a good Pakistan side in Pakistan and drew in 2010 tour to Pakistan. They also drew to India in 2008 and 2010. In contrast, at home they always defeated Pakistan and won against India in 2006 and drew against them in 2011.
They also didn't lose any series Vs India, England and Pakistan home or away and went on to beat England twice away and Pakistan and India at home as well.
That team had Kallis, Steyn, Smith, AB, Amla, Morkel and Philander later on to make it a great great team.
Current Indian team only has Kohli and to extent Pujara and in bowling Bumrah and Shami and Ashwin. They are inferior to the 2000s Indian team which had Tendulkar, Dravid, Sehwag, Laxman, Kumble and to lesser extent Zaheer Khan.
