Credit where it's due. Yes it was a second string Indian side but they fought till the last ball showing immense strength and patience.
Har Jeet is part of game but the important thing is not to go down without fighting. You played well, Congratulations!

Shows how ahead India is. Even their B side is better than the likes of Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

True they played well and the encounters are getting so much fun nowadays.

Must say I was really impressed by the behavior of BD fans. Apart from one idiot everyone else maintained their calm graciously admitting the defeat.
Keep up the good work guys.

Bangladesh are a good side and not a minnow

Because weaker Indian sides (no Rohit Dhawan Chahal) have played minnows and beat them.

But we need to start winning crunxh matches

Well played. Gave their everything. Moreover behaved maturely too in front of a passionate crowd, which was good to see.

Well played BD.

18th over first 4 dot balls and I went to shower thinkings it game over for us. But DK had different plans.

Anyhow, it was great effort from BD.

Im glad this game was played in great spirit and not controversy were involved unlike BD-SL game.

It's not their B side lol. Sharma, Dhawan, and Karthik carried them in this tournament.

Bro 3/11 isn’t exactly main team. Lastly, apart from Chahal every other bowler were backup. Not always will India field Shankar/Siraj/Unadakat in playing XI

I hope we could replace Jadhav with DK or KL Rahul.

It's not their B side lol. Sharma, Dhawan, and Karthik carried them in this tournament.

Karthick is not our normal playing 11, and its defn not our top side.

Thakur,Siraj,Shankar lol you think we would be putting that in playing 11? You never know but still.

Washington Sundar was the man of the series, but otherwise, yeah, pretty much the same story. Rohit and Dhawan carried the team. DK pitched in this time which was good to see, otherwise in Kohli’s absence Pandey is probably the only other bet.

How can BD avoid IND in tournaments knockout? we have been knocked out by IND so many times recently in tournaments.

Probably what he means is that 2-3 batsmen carried the batting line up. Which is not very unusual with our main team as well.

All bowlers barring WS failed. Especially the pace bowlers and that’s one area where we got nothing from this tournament.

Ahh ok but without Kohli and Bumrah lol, can't even imagine playing any major tournament.

Yup. They played very well. Lot of time they found themselves in the hole. They managed to claw back each time. They just ran into a crazy batsman.

Yes good entertainment from Bangadeshi bros.

But you can't judge a full strength team versus a C grade side, India would have comfortably won all matches with their full strength eleven, so

Ashraful_Rox really is a PP legend! Miss that poster

I guess we're in the same place as a decade ago, congratulating Bangladesh for competing well and losing.

Once again too much hype for a T20 tournament which we again lost against a C team.which I personally feel is inferior to bangladesh in this format

Kohli Dhoni Bhubaneswar Bumra and we would be hoping for some mercy

India - congratulations, and to think half your team were your from your reserves..

Dinesh Karthik - WHAT A MAN!

Soumya Sarkar - what an effort despite not being a regular bowler! You'll have your chance for redemption in the future God willing, just use this heartbreak as your comeback platform.

Sri Lanka - great tournament, well organised and a big THANK YOU!

Bangladesh - win or lose, going toe-to-toe with the opposition and not giving them an inch is the expectation... and you've made that into a habit now. Haters can bring forth all their counterargument and I'll recycle them respectfully.

Joy Bangla!

Until BD wins an ICC tournament and garners some credible overseas victories, they will be repeating the phrase, “ we won hearts”. This is a repeat of Asia Cup 2012 Final. Some home series wins makes a lot of fans delusional.

Umm what effort, he has been useless with the bat and went for 33 from 3. Also get rid of that Nagin and Mehdi guys if you wish to build a better team for the future.

Here we go lads...

Joking aside they should never have done this in the first place...

Love the attitude of the Bangladeshi players. They always play with passion. Hopefully they will keep coming with such unique celebrations in future too. All power to the tigers

Brother this Nagin group dance by BD players doesn't look like celebration, they were mocking hosts SL after winning close match. They did OTT celebration in my opinion :19:

They played well. They need to find a way of getting over the line versus top teams . Once they do it a couple of times, it will increase there confidence.

I kinda wish Bangladesh had won the match so could have seen their celebration. :yk

Credit where credit due... nobody expected them to stretch India (even if it was India B). Well played, but please be a bit more mature.

Completely agree with RainMan_ here.. In a dull sport like cricket which is played by handful of nations we need characters like the current BD team to keep it interesting.. The dance after victory and controversy is the only reason along with the finish by DK why this series would Ben remembered 5-6 years from now.. If it wasn’t for BD team antics no one would have remembered this series..

So credit where credit is due BD players are too passionate and try and give their 100%.. For now they lack pressure handling ability and certain skills to compete with top 5 teams on regular basis but the next generation might be better in that regard..

I know where it started, just think Bangladesh took it to another level when they didn't need to.

I think, exactly opposite - they did exactly what SRL team deserved. What'll be wrong is if they keep carrying it on or over do it with other sides as well. Nazmul can carry on his trade mark celebration.

It actually started in first game against SRL, when they thought with 214, they had already won the game, so started celebrating with every wicket - Mushi was in middle whole time & he just returned the compliment with one moment action. You should have noticed that BD players didn't join him in 1st game much.

2nd Game, entire stadium got in the act and I am perfectly OK, for what they did it after the game (regarding Cobra celebration) - on field antics is not new in SRL cricket, which you may know from PP, when they play against PAK.

Such a shame Bangla lost they played their heart out today. What a disgusting over from rubel that was. Game was in the bag until then Bangladeshi fans should be livid with that I know I would be. I feel for my Bangla bros they deserved that victory they wear their heart on the sleeve. Too much Bangla haters on this forum it's uncalled for.

While they certainly did well, why did no one expect them to stretch India? Sri Lanka and Bangladese are 2 of the top 10 teams in cricket. They should've beaten India's second team in this series.

Wonder what would have happened if Bangladesh had won. Would it have had been the catalyst needed as with Pakistan after CT win?

CT win not a catalyst I feel.

It is however a great spiritual boost for the fans but it won't solve the underlying issues.

BD have long way to go

Good tournament for Bangladesh. They beat SL twice and ran India close on two occasions. So really well played to them.

Tbf, Bangladesh is the reason I watched this useless tournament. Wasn't even interested before Shakib's meltdown and that ridiculous nagin dance.

Bangladesh are winning too many hearts....

Its time they should start winning match.

Wonder what would have happened if Bangladesh had won. Would it have had been the catalyst needed as with Pakistan after CT win?

Seriously? beating Sri Lanka and India B in T20s is no catalyst for anything

If that was true, why would Pakistan's best team be rated alongside SL and Bangladesh in points table? Or is it that your B side is as good as the best?

Did you even see the rankings table or know what format this tournament was?

Pak is ranked no1 in T20s and the talk is about T20s not tests and ODIs.

Let's not patronise. They failed to defend 30 in two overs against India A.

What an annoying bunch.

It shows their lack of maturity and idiocy. I expected a player like Tamim to at-least show some decorum but unfortunately he too was caught up in that pathetic display.

I personally don't find BD celebration annoying. Not sure if I am missing some context here, but cricket can need more teams like this. Bring it on...

They only find it annoying because they think cricket should be a sport with no drama or spice.

Cricket is a dying sport because we have some dull teams playing one another.

Bangladesh singlehandedly almost doubled the hype the tournament recievdd compared to what was expected. Cricket could do with more passion and drama

Yeah but than they lost. It would have been great if they celebrated and won. Now they look like immature boys instead of professional sportsman.

I am just following it from PP, but didn't BD celebrate after winning a match or they celebrated before winning it? You can surely celebrate individual match and don't have to wait till you win a tournament.

I'm talking about when they beat SL. Did not see the Final.

I am really proud for my team. The way they came back in the match during batting and bowling is really fighting spirit. Thanks for this thread. They deserve it.

Well played bangladesh...almost won the match..great fight ..great spirit..celebration is a part of game ...nothing wrong in it...

Irrespective of how its started this was Not classy . I would hide myself somewhere if my team had acted silly like that .

Why you are soo much bother brother..its not against with your team...srilanka players also did cheating in past.
They are not good either and they deserve this...

Tbf, Kohli can at-least back it up. What exactly have Bangladesh achieved? I find Kohli annoying at times too, but no matter what he always backs it up.

So did Bangladesh. They beat srilanka in front of their home crowd twice in a format where they r supposedly weak and celebrated it with a Cobra dance. If BD had done it before winning the match it could have been considered as an issue.

As u rightly said kohli is extremely annoying. Look at the way he got slammed by south african player Paul haris for acting like a clown( paul haris called him that, not me) during India's last tour of south africa.

Not entirely true though, is it? Users on here found the celebrations by WI sides over the last few years as being a good laugh, but not everyone enjoyed it.

That specific celebration by the Bangladeshi players made them look petty, that's all. No-one should care which player/side started it - it's what the gif above shows.

They played well in the final, and deserve credit for their fight.

Just that particular celebration would have been more apt if they'd won a major trophy, rather than T20 tri-series, with a side in transition and an Indian side that dropped more than half of their best players for the tournament.

No offence but T20 can give you that. SL are a decent side but not the same side that had Malinga, Mathews, Sangakarra and Jayawardene. It's a side in transition.

Regarding the celebration, you just don't do that. I'm sorry but you don't. You may not have celebrated before the match was over but you sure as hell were indisciplined enough to almost call your players off the pitch.

The celebrations were a culmination of hotheadedness and as I posted above, immaturity. I expected better from Tamim, even if I didn't from Sakib and Mushfiqur. I do blame their coaching staff for not reigning in your players though. Seeing as some were also out on the field doing the exact same thing the players were.

You can show such classy status of yours, because it was not against your team. Lankan's started that at Mirpur, after winning against hosts - they would have done so, had they won any of the 2 games here. In fact, last few wickets in 2nd game was celebrated with same. It had to stop somewhere - unfortunately, BD had the last laugh hence it's burning here; nobody even noticed what Lankans did at Dhaka. As I said, Lankans deserved what they got, but it'll be wrong if it's over done in future.

Regarding any celebration, there is nothing silly, unless it's universally accepted offensive gesture. Kiwis do Haka before any game, and that's perfectly OK. They are best team in Rugby, but Western Samoa also does that .....

You didn't hide yourself after Ganguly's celebration at Lord's because he was your Captain and he was settling score - so accepted, it's problem with Bangladesh, not celebration.

Goodness me, there's no animosity for Bangladesh. Why would it be? They're hardly rivals of any status, and I say that without genuine offence. So stop this claptrap about jealousy and whatnot.

Also, are you seriously [] comparing the Māori dance done by The All-Blacks and Samoan sides to that of the cringeworthy "Cobra" dance? Please say this ain't so? You do realise what the war dances are to the tribes, and the respective nations, right?

Finally, Ganguly was slaughtered and made fun of by neutrals when he did that balcony strip-off. In-fact Ganguly himself stated he was embarrassed by it. It was a bigger issue because it was at the home of cricket and he was the captain of a side that beat England.

But going by your remarks, The gesture by Ganguly was in reply to Andrew Flintoff's act at Wankhede Stadium. So all is well, no?!
