West Indies beat Pakistan by 1 wicket in the 1st Test match at Kingston

Maybe time to employ Hassan from Abbas’ end. Use of the bowlers by Babar will be key here
 
Hasan and Yasir have a tendency to be expensive. They would have to stick to basics and make sure wicket does its bit.
 
With Blackwood chancing his arms I would like to see Shaheen and Abbas keep sticking to bowling lengths and do not cave in by shortening their lengths.
 
Need to keep picking wickets. Any decent partnership can take the game away.

Well if WI gets a good partnership it's game over. It's a humdinger of a match right now. Exciting to watch as a neutral
 
They should have given Shaheen another, it would have been his last before lunch anyway.
 
Other bowlers need to step up.

Otherwise Shaheen's spell can end up being like Amir's spell Vs India in Asia Cup.
 
Blackwood's style of play is the only way to approach the chase. We have always found Holder hard to dismiss as well. Guess the match will end in the next session.
 
Good start from Hassan before lunch break. Need bit more intensity from Hassan in next session and he is capable of that. Needs to get high 130s 140s kph going from good length.
 
Unless Yasir Shah gets his old self back I see no way back for Pakistan. Just haven't got the runs to put them under pressure.

One partnership is enough for the WI.
 
Good partnership developing for WI. Pak needs to get one of these soon to remain in the game
 
Normally there is no hope for this hopeless bunch but with Shaheen we have the best Pakistani fast bowler since Wasim Akram.

Only he can deliver Pakistan the win to save Misbah's job (for another day).
 
Sabina Park is so beautiful, picturesque. England is the most niserable place amongst SENAW countries.

Misbah is there till the T20 WC anyway. After that he'll have to appear before the Cricket Committee again. Just like Mickey had to once upon a time #karma.
 
Hasan Ali's outswing has improved this series, but his best deliveries are those that seam into the batsmen.

Even against SAF and ZIM, that was his strength.

He needs to go back to doing that.
 
What a shame it would be to lose to WI. A team that loses to WI has no hopes or chance of qualifying for the WTC finals. Not like WI is some associate level team but for those aspiring to qualify for WTC should atleast be dominant against sides like WI , SL etc.
 
If Yasir is to bowl, he will need fielders close to the bat.

Let Blackwood take the charge if he wants runs.
 
It's no wonder why Top teams don't rate Pakistan as a worthy opponent and play their C and D teams against Pakistan. Pakistan don't even deserve to play against a Top Ranked side.
 
Abbas is a useless bowler now. Hassan Ali was doing a great job leading the attack. Including Abbas has disturbed the balance of the team and this meant Nauman missed out

Hasan Ali bowling some beauties but these hacks have a lot of luck on their side
 
Shaheen needs to face Blackwood not Chase. Chase is a patient batsman, Blackwood will be an easy wicket for Shaheen.
 
Yasir not even bowling in the fourth innings , why he is even playing , very poor management

Abbas can bowl only with the new ball
Hassan is harmless if its not reversing or keeping low
Faheem will never pick more than a wicket or two
Yasir shah cant bowl in first innings and leaks too many runs
 
Misbah deserves it for playing Imran Butt and Yasir Shah. I would rather select Nawaz, at least he could bat unlike can't bat & bowl shah
 
Serious changes needed in Pakistan cricket
Starting from the management. Misbah and waqar both need to go. Openers are both useless and Azhar Ali after playing for so long hasnt managed to sort out simple flaws in his batting. Babar Azam is not captaincy Material.

We Need to produce some new talent who can Play alongsides shaheen afridi and Hasan Ali.
 
One question for everyone here:

Why does Yasir get a catcher on the leg-side if he doesn't have a googly?

Most spinners get a catcher in the direction they spin it to prevent batsmen from playing with the spin, forcing them to play against the spin.
 
Imran butt needs to hang on to another one to keep his place for the next game.
 
Guys just look back at the difference from the last time we toured windies. We were all over them then. Now In this match we have won at max 2 sessions.

Babar needs to be ruthless and use Azhar Ali as his main spinner now. Yasir is absolutely terrible these days. Atleast Azhar will rip quite a few. And his googly is deadly.
 
Where is a wicket coming from? These Windies batsmen look so untroubled, they’re cruising.

Butt, Ali, Ali though is probably the worst top 3 in cricket.

Enough is enough. Changes need to come. The way this team plays and laughs it of!!!! Come on Guys we are/used to be a Proud cricket playing nation. One of the Only things the brings smiles onto the Faces of the people.

I still wonder why Azhar wasn't used as all rounder in his whole career? His spin looked good

We havent got the bowlers who can turn the match on its head. Easy 5-6 wicket win for the windies this
 
This Blackwood will play a good innings now and again and sadly it’s looking like today is one of those days.

Otherwise the way he plays is not conducive to being consistently successful as a test batsman. Fortunate to have retained his place in the side recently.

Played a similar innings against England last year to guide his team home, just hope the conclusion is different today.

Nothing will happen as long as Misbah is in any crucial post.
