you must be spending time with navjot!!

West Indies giving too much respect to a baqwaas bowler.

Hit him out of the ground.....come on Gayle.

Yay, Dean Jones is on, I love it when he commentates. So different from the other commentators, tries to give the losing side hope. However, there is no hope for India!

Beautiful use of Qaaf, Hash - four runs all the way to Hash :)

But...

Its Bakwas ( with a Kaaf ) :(

good to see indians have taken advantage after winning the toss and bowling 1st!

Its called the fear of being dropped ...

Lovely sqaure cut for 2 for sarwan. he plays that shot well.

he still looks in great form still...

Sarwan gets 2 off arial sweep.

fielder and bowler arguing! great to see from indian point of view.

Commentators making excellent point on how west indies have played spinners better in middle overs, yet india are the so called masters of playing spin!

4 more reverse sweep.

50 for gayle king of cowlashing!

Home town hero is here... prince of port of spain.

Brian charles lara

W.I 92/2 (20)

Batting 2nd on this used wicket will be very tough!

100 for 2 after 24 overs.

Sarwan not out 34 from 67
Lara not out 3 from 16

Windies have got wickets in hand and one of these two needs to get a move on and keep the scoreboard ticking over....pick up the 1s and 2s. Only 11 runs from the last 4.4 overs.

Ooooo, a bit rough from Sehwag there. West Indies dont want their in-form player to have to go off.

W.I 103/2 (24.4)

Indian spinners tightening up runs here...

Appeal for lbw from sehwag. Pitched outside leg so no point appealing!

Runrate has really slowed down. I guess they need some Smith beastliness at the end.

Or maybe its just one of those ODI pitches which isn't easy to hit boundaries on, in which case a player as limited as Dwayne Smith wouldn't do much. It will also be difficult to chase on this pitch the way things are going, seems like a good toss to lose to me.

Dwayne Smith limited? :))) :)))

If you think this guy is limited, I suggest you go watch his century in his debut Test match. He battered the Saffies all over the park.

Lara edges ball past dhoni, dropped!

2nd drop for dhoni! very poor keeper!

Smith is all legside in his play and is an inconsistant mindless slogger.

Does a player never improve? I remember when Pietersen burst onto the scene, he was all legside as well. Now, he is one of the best batman in the world.

Inconsistent? He bats at number 7 or 8, there are very few consistent players at that spot. He mostly just has to hit out.

Once again, your argument is complete TOSH.

Oh my god!! Oh my god!! They just showed the second biggest beast in the world after Shahid Afridi- RICARDO "POW POW" POWELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He was looking mean!!!!

Wasn't really a drop, more of a missed chance.

You go watch his numerous failures. There have been some pretty amusing ones but one that sticks in my mind was when he hit a six off Harmison over long on, very early in his innings, so Hussain was just sent to that position and Smith did it again the next over completely unaware that - shock horror - in test cricket you have to actually have a look at the field before you try to slog a better ball over the same area, and was caught out for a low score

A very mindless player, but he has an occasional good knock where his slogging comes off so he is 'beastly' apparently

Pow Pow was just taking a break from his normal decimation duties, and he had an evil smile on his face!! I wonder who is the next bowler to suffer at his merciless hands!!

sreesanth needs to stop talking **** and start talking wickets.

he acts as if hes curtley ambrose which his not lol!

More beastly capabilites than Pieterson, he can hit the ball harder, longer and further than Pieterson. :P

Pietersen is very different, he knows when a ball is there to be hit and knows when one isnt. His improvement has come from his better undertsanding of spin bowling and turning from a terrible starter into a good one. He is still very legside, but having a favourite area is absolutely fine if you can actually read the game consistently like Pietersen can.

Dwayne Smith is just a flash in the pan player

True, he tried his staring and sledging, but just gets leathered.

Oh and according to Dean Jones he can bowl in the high 140kph range.

Dwayne Smith is psychotic, in terms of having a brutal personality he probably comes to the closest to Shahid Afridi in matching him.

so what improvements has he made? :))

It seems to me that Dean Jones is becoming more pro Indian biased by the day.

Sreesanth has a habit of trying to sledge the batsman. Unfortunately for him......

a) He is crap. Not really much point in sledging if you are going wicketless at 6 per over.

b) He just doesn't have the look. If you are going to sledge you need to at least be slightly 'hard'. Sreesanth and 'hard' just don't go together. If someone whose nostrils are the size of his backside starts talking down to you......the worst that will happen is that you wont be able to contain yourself from laughter.

Sreesanth certainly has a lot to learn.

Believe it or not his off side play has actually improved since he debuted. I've been following his progress since he debuted a few years back and in ODIs especially he just tried hitting everything to the legside. Now there are shots through the offside, when slogging though he still does prefer his leg side mid wicket area, but I have seen him hit big shots recently against Zimbabwe on the offside.

Whoop de do, only going offside when he is against the worst ODI side in the world. What a player *cough*
