I am not sure if one ball misbehaving every hour is enough to excite the audience... Pitch has to pick up the pace as well :(

Not sure about Hasan but Abbas is undoubtedly inferior to the bowlers you mentioned, has no pace, bowls in 120s with no venom or bite to trouble batsman, classic thrundler I'd say that we've been producing so many lately.

First you have too few bowlers, then you play on terrible wickets, pace of the match is slow as hell... No wonder Amir was thinking of retiring, Yasir would do so, if he was a fast bowler.... Pakistan is still bowling 100+ overs every innings win or loose, home or away...Misbah likes Grinding style of 1970s cricket, 40 years too late for him, Pakistan need to come back to the present world :acp:
 
We can't seem to get Roston Chase out cheaply . . Even in the UAE, he played some very handy innings . . and sticks around for a while against our attack
 
Have to err on the fuller side if you don't have a sweeper square on the offside, poor ball from Yasir.

Its like vegetarian Shadi party, nobody is excited about main course (even my indian friends), everybody is looking forward to the desert...

We don't have any all-rounders on the fringes of the team so the only way we can fit a fifth bowler into the side is by bringing Hafeez back.

Shadab is a good spin allrounder for Pakistan to develop, he can be really handy, if think tank can invest in him...Hafeez is a another 'bad hombre' don't like to invest in him, we already have technically deficient top order...

Seaming allrounder is a rare breed in Pakistan, but it has to do with kind of pitches we play in last 10 years or so...Modern cricket has to be played on modern wickets :sanga:

Pakistanis dont know how to develop all rounders , instead of playing 6 batters should have gone with shadab as 5th bowling option and give some responsibility to him with bat.

I need to see more of Shadab's batting before I'm ready to believe he's an all-rounder.

If our tailenders could bat well enough to hang around with the established batsmen and not give their wickets away then we could maybe start thinking about playing Shadab as an all-rounder at 7 but we can't do that right now. They're good for hitting a couple of boundaries and getting the fans excited about their batting "talent" but they can't be relied upon.

Agreed, Misbah has been overly defensive throughout his career. Even at home against weak teams , he never opted for fifth bowler. The way think tank and media went after Shadab was really bad. Looks like they are going to dump him from test for some time now :(
 
Amir is bowling at 129-130 clicks, he never ever tries to reverse :sanga:
 
Hope showing Chase how to do it, don't try and attack everything but wait for the bad ball and smash it

Misbah has always played safe , never took risk. His captaincy has not developed any players who can do wonders , he wont ask his bowlers for wickets he would be happy with rr under 3. Yah we went on to become number 1 for a little while but the team was never meant to do great things.
 
Boring test match seriously, hope we don't tour West Indies for a while especially for a Test series!

Yasir alone cannot pick 20 wickets. With this attack, Pakistan should be glad that they won't be playing any Test Cricket for 10 months.

This is a test of patience as much as anything else.

The pitch is dead for the seamers, some spin but slow enough for the batsmen to adjust most of the time.

If WI dont throw away wkts, it going to be very difficult to take 17 more.
 
Azhar the all rounder will be vital in this test it seems.. They should let Asad Shafique bowl those off spin as well..
 
This is how test cricket was like when my dad was young.....

I actually do not mind this kind of cricket, I would rather have this than stick cricket that is T20, but I guess I am old school..... For me it is so much more fun to watch a contest between bat and ball... than watching gali cricket..
 
One of the things that WI has done well throughout the series is that they haven't really let Pakistan run through . . they come back with partnerships after partnerships . . and the partnerships become better as you go down their order . . i am sure its a very annoying aspect for the opposition team
