Cmon Bangla let's square this baby up.

Bangla will need to rack up a big score me thinks. I see a Gaylestorm heading their way.

If Narine fails again, will WI go back to Bishoo- who looks more dangerous than Narine at test level, IMO.

Is Shahid Afridi the Bangladesh batting coach? They have no patience, no mental toughness to grind the bowler down, they all want to play the flashy ego shot every time.

They should hire Steve Waugh and pay him the entire cost of the BPL to teach them how it is done.

what will you do when they have 6 afridi and 5 nohit sharma?

Bangla losing the plot here. 5 for 116

At least some rebuilding going on now, but for how long before one of two plays a rash shot?

On a lighter note, Nasir Hossain is a good batsmen, needs to be promoted a bit up the order, looks much better then some of the upper order batsmen for sure.

The shot that was just played by Mushfiqur Rahim was unnecessary, yes it brought him a boundary but that is definitely not a test match shot! The coach needs to relay this to the batsmen. That shot could have easily caused him to loose his wicket! NOT playing a LOI

Nasir Hossain with a brain fart! They was absolutely no need to play such an atrocious shot, should have been playing for tea.

I guess Bangla will never learn, its got to be a mental block or something

Bangla: 185-6

This is incredible fight back , BD have fought back .........they looked likely to be all out for 220 max.

abu hasan

Highest score by a number 10 on debut in Test cricket. Beats a 30 year old record.

Mahmudullah has his moments as a player, doesn't get a lot of bowling though.

So can we expect this #10 to open next innings? Wi wondered why they had picked a guy with only 8 first class wickets at 42- he was a secret batsman!

WI must be in with a surprise. Abu hasan might have played innings of his life in his very first Test.

Brilliant Effort from BD's lower order/tail-end batters (esp Abul and Riyad) to rescue BD from a below par score to a respectable 1st Inning total.

Abul deserves a 100

Brilliant comeback by Bangla. Top 100 by Hasan and great support by Mahmudullah and Hossain.

Let's hope they don't throw this chance away as well. They need a few more runs though. I sense a Gaylestorm heading their way.

Abul Hasan-Still a better batsman than Nohit and half of the bangladeshi batting lineup

Lol at the weird scorecard. Well done to new guy Abul Hasan though. Sehwag esque drubbing indeed.

'Nohit' has never played a test, and he avg.50+ in first class.
Was it you who was taking jibes at Indians in the 1st test commentary thread?
Which Indian said that Narine is better than Shakib in tests?

Edwards becomes a hack when confronted with aggressive left handers. no surprises there.
Tamim would have done better with his natural game.

I didn't get to see any of this. It's the first Test match to be hosted in Khulna. What was the attendance like today as a matter of interest?

Their was a full crowd though some of the seats looked empty because ppl were taking cover in the shades. the first 2 days have been sold out and expecting the last 3 days to be sold out

the people looked quite interested in the match and the stadium reached full attendance by 11 am in the morning

That's great to see.

That's excellent news. Crowds in Dhaka and Chittagong have got quite poor since the move to the new grounds there.

I think that's partly due to the locations and partly due to them getting too much cricket. Spreading the matches around a bit should improve things.

Agreed
In dhaka the mirpur stadium is in one corner of the city and thus the attendances have decreased as a result as compared to the Bangabandhu stadium which was nearer to the centre of the city
I live in chittagong, the MA aziz stadium is pretty much in the exact centre of the city and quite easy to reach for most of us. But the present stadium is in a remote area(its near the seaport). Its in a totally undesirable location for a stadium.

And about the amount of cricket, Dhaka keeps on getting lots and lots of cricket matches all the time, while Chittagong gets quite a few. There has been no intl cricket in chittagong the whole year, and only 4 days of BPL matches. Things can only improve from here onwards. Rajshahi also looks like a future venue for professional cricket

Nasir batted better than his team mates with another 50. Hope he had a purple patch with the bat..

Brilliant knock by Abul Hasan! Banglandesh ends inning with 387.
