It's why I said who's a terrorist and who's a freedom fighter depends on what side of the line you stand on.
For Pakistan, the LTTE were a terrorist organisation because it is geopolitically allied with the government of Sri Lanka. The PKK are a terrorist group because it's allied with Turkey while the Kurds don't have a country for their own. But the Hamas are freedom fighters as it's geopolitically/culturally aligned with the Palestinian cause. Same with the Kashmiri militant groups for Pakistan and the vice versa applies to India.
Who's a freedom fighter committing "resistance" and who's a terrorist committing "atrocities" in today's world depends on your geopolitical alliances more than freedom, human rights and things like that. This applies not just to Pakistan, but also to India and pretty much every other country out there.

While death, damage and suffering have been caused to both sides in the escalating hostilities between Palestinian militant groups in the Gaza Strip and the Israeli military, this remains a hugely asymmetric struggle.
Israel is the vastly more powerful player and its air force, armed drones and intelligence-gathering systems enable it to strike targets in Gaza pretty much at will. It insists that its targeting is restricted to sites used for military purposes but the density of the Palestinian population and the fact that Hamas and Islamic Jihad facilities are located close to, and often hidden under, civilian buildings makes the avoidance of civilian casualties altogether impossible.
Hamas and Islamic Jihad, though the weaker parties, have weapons enough with which to attack Israel. They have already tried a variety of tactics. Israeli defences shot down a drone - possibly armed - that had sought to cross into Israel from Gaza. And an Israeli military spokesman said an "elite Hamas unit" had attempted to infiltrate Israel through a tunnel from the southern part of the strip. The Israeli military, it seems, had advance warning of this and, according to the spokesman, was able to "cause the tunnel to implode".
But by far and away the most significant weaponry in the Palestinians' arsenal is their wide variety of ground-to-ground missiles. Some of these (along with other systems employed like the Kornet guided anti-tank missiles used during recent days), are believed to have been smuggled in through tunnels from Egypt's Sinai peninsula.
But by far the bulk of the Hamas and Islamic Jihad arsenals come from a dynamic and relatively sophisticated manufacturing capability inside the Gaza Strip itself. Israeli and outside experts believe that Iranian know-how and assistance have played a significant role in building up this industry. Accordingly, weapons manufacturing and storage sites have been among the chief targets of the Israeli strikes.
Estimating the stockpile of Hamas missiles is impossible.
It certainly includes many thousands of weapons of varying ranges. Clearly the Israeli military has its own estimates that it is not willing to share. All a spokesmen would say was that they believed Hamas could sustain this level of fire for "a significant period of time".
The Palestinians are employing a variety of missiles, none of which, so far, appear to be especially new in terms of basic design. But the overall trend is for the weapons to have increased ranges and larger explosive payloads.
While the names and designations of specific missiles can be a bit confusing, Hamas has a huge inventory of shorter-range systems like the Qassam (up to 10km or 6 miles) and the Quds 101 (up to about 16km); bolstered by the Grad system (up to 55km); and the Sejil 55 (up to 55km). These probably make up the bulk of its inventory and for the shortest ranges can be bolstered by mortar fire.
But Hamas also operates a variety of longer-range systems like the M-75 (up to 75km); the Fajr (up to 100km); the R-160 (up to 120km); and some M-302s which have a range of up to 200km. So it is clear that Hamas has weapons that can target both Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, and threaten the whole coastal strip which contains the greatest density of Israel's population and critical infrastructure.
The Israeli military says that of the more than 1,000 or so rockets fired into Israel over the past three days, some 200 have actually fallen short in the Gaza Strip itself (perhaps an indicator of the problems of a home-grown and dispersed weapons manufacturing process).
The IDF also say 90% of all missiles reaching Israel have been intercepted by their Iron Dome anti-missile system. However, at one stage the battery defending the city of Ashkelon appears to have been off-line due to a technical malfunction, underlining that for all its remarkable technical success, this is not a missile-proof screen.
To counter missile fire you only really have a limited number of options. You can employ anti-missile defences. You can target stockpiles and manufacturing facilities. You could in theory also mount a ground operation to push the missile-launchers back beyond effective range.
That is not going to be possible in this case. Part of the Palestinians' vulnerability is that they have no strategic depth and nowhere to go. A ground operation to stifle the missile fire is possible. But as was shown in Israel's last major incursion into Gaza in 2014, the human cost would be considerable. During the operation, 2,251 Palestinians, including 1,462 civilians, were killed, while on the Israeli side 67 soldiers and six civilians were killed.
This repeating cycle of rocket-fire, response and incursion gets neither side anywhere. At best, it buys a period of calm before the next round begins. Many might argue that it was the tensions in Jerusalem that started this particular episode. A signal once again that the Israel-Palestinian dispute cannot be ignored forever.
But with more and more Arab governments making their peace with Israel; with the Palestinians politically as divided as ever; and with this issue being far from the agenda of Israel's current leadership, it is hard to see how any progress towards a real peace can be made. For that you would need a real desire for progress on the ground and a strong and sustained effort by outside players. The conditions for this just do not appear to be there.

You think the Israeli government is the only party in this conflict?You're acting like any Palestinian leader would agree to keep squatters, anti-settler politics are are also too powerful in the Palestinian community.
Of course in an ideal world these settlers would be booted out but unfortunately the reality is Israel's Govt has never been forced to pay a price for illegal settlements by the international community as the US will block sanctions, and Israel itself shows no sign of reining in the settler groups who've virtually taken over the Likud and other right wing parties.
Meanwhile the Palestinians have little leverage in negotiations. They have no army, no superpower on their side, little real support from Arab Governments, and no economic strength. Gaza would be uninhabitable without international aid.
Look no solution will perfectly satisfy everyone, but it's time to stop looking at outdated solutions (two states) that are no longer viable, or fantastical solutions (one state). It's very also easy calling for Palestinians to resist sitting on our beds when it's not our blood we'll shed.
The only realistic solution left is a loose confederation with joint institutions to tackle common issues of resource planning, security and economic development.

In one incident, camera crews broadcast the moment live on television when a crowd of Jewish Israelis attacked a driver in Bat Yam, a coastal city just south of Tel Aviv.
After vandalising Arab-owned property in the city, the group turned on the driver on the beachfront promenade. While they say the man was trying to ram them in his car, some argue that the footage appears to shows him trying to reverse away and then speed past the crowd.

A 2 state solution is dead in the water.
How on earth is that possible ? You have Hamas controlling Gaza which is an open air prison while the West Bank is in power by a total different ideological party called Fatah that is also surrounded by illegal Jewish settlements that are growing everyday for the past 50 years - some of them have become small cities.
That ship has sailed, there is only going to be one state. The question is if the Palestinians will be treated as human beings or second class citizens.

Palestinians only sensible option is to stay alive to fight another day. They are in no position to take on Israel in their current state so best they can do is avoid confrontation, as that is what the Zionists are looking for - any excuse to wipe out as many Palestinians as possible without triggering a wider war.
Jews also faced similar hardships during the 20th century, but they survived and are now strong enough to punish their perceived enemies. Palestinians need to have a likewise long term view.

MULTAN: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi Thursday said that Pakistan and Turkey have decided to jointly move the United Nations, with consensus among the Muslim ummah, for an urgent meeting of the UN General Assembly on the Palestine issue to stop the horrendous brutalities of the Israeli army targeting Palestinians.
Talking to journalists after saying his Eid prayers at the mausoleum of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya Multani, Qureshi said that the whole Pakistani nation stands united on the issues of Kashmir and Palestine.

The foreign minister added that Turkey and Pakistan have adopted a joint strategy to convene a ministerial-level meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to develop consensus among the 57 Muslim countries to convene an urgent UNGA meeting on the Palestine issue.
The FM strongly condemned the brutal acts of violence by Israeli forces targeting Palestinian worshippers at Al-Aqsa mosque, forced eviction of Palestinians from Al-Jarrah neighbourhood, and air strike on Gaza city targeting civilians including children.
He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan talked with Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Saudi King Shah Salman on this sensitive issue.
Qureshi added that he was also tasked by PM Imran to talk to his Turkish counterpart, adding that he would contact the Turkish Foreign Minister (Today) Thursday.

He said that they had presented a proposal and the Arab League also suggested convening an urgent ministerial-level meeting of the OIC on the Palestine issue to unite the 57 Muslim countries.
Qureshi said that the issue has been discussed at the security council and hoped it will be discussed further.
The foreign minister said that international organisations have faced troubles in Palestine due to Israeli violence and air strikes.
"And these organisations are also demanding immediate stoppage of atrocities in Palestine," he said, adding that world leaders should intensify efforts for peace and find out a solution to the longstanding dispute.
Qureshi said that Palestine and Kashmir issues are resolvable.
He, however, added that mobilising the Muslim ummah and international public opinion was vital to secure peace and protect the rights of the oppressed.
He requested the 65 million Muslims living in European countries to write letters to members of their respective parliaments, the European Parliament, the British Parliament and the Muslims living in the US should write letters to US Congress to convey their grievances regarding the brutalities in Palestine and Kashmir.
About the Afghan peace process, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the world has acknowledged and hailed the role of Pakistan for peace in Afghanistan.
Qureshi welcomed the Eid truce between the Taliban and the Afghan government, adding that the Intra-Afghan dialogue, which had started from Doha, has been heading forward.
He said it was a positive step of the Taliban and the Afghan government to opt for no hostility during Eid days.
Qureshi said that Pakistan wished and tried for permanent and lasting peace in Afghanistan and that it was in the best interest of Pakistan.
"Peace would mean safe borders and would enable Afghan refugees living in Pakistan to return to their country respectfully," he said.
The foreign minister said that peace in Afghanistan would also impact the national economy positively through regional connectivity.
Talking to journalists after saying his Eid prayers at the mausoleum of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya Multani, Qureshi said that the whole Pakistani nation stands united on the issues of Kashmir and Palestine.

The foreign minister added that Turkey and Pakistan have adopted a joint strategy to convene a ministerial-level meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to develop consensus among the 57 Muslim countries to convene an urgent UNGA meeting on the Palestine issue.
The FM strongly condemned the brutal acts of violence by Israeli forces targeting Palestinian worshippers at Al-Aqsa mosque, forced eviction of Palestinians from Al-Jarrah neighbourhood, and air strike on Gaza city targeting civilians including children.
He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan talked with Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Saudi King Shah Salman on this sensitive issue.
Qureshi added that he was also tasked by PM Imran to talk to his Turkish counterpart, adding that he would contact the Turkish Foreign Minister (Today) Thursday.

Not only the Palestinians rather the Israel wants all Arab's dead. The "kill all Arab's" written on the walls of the region is such a common thing seen by all. We live in a world where only power and weapons are respected to keep the enemy at bay, nothing else. The Arab's are so helpless that they have to side with Israel otherwise the likes of Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi and the UAE are not far from being invaded under some false pretence. Allah gave the Arab's centuries to build decent armies and produce weapons to defend themselves instead they were belly dancing, partying and gambling. I recall years back Dr Israr Ahmed saying how punishment of unparalleled level is awaiting the Arab's. Many Arab countries banned the Dr's speeches in their country thinking they were above divine law.

Poorly-armed 'freedom fighters' cannot be compared to nuclear/heavily-armed nation states, that deploy their troops in territories they militarily occupy. If India and Israel complied with and implemented UN resolutions, uprisings in Kashmir and the Palestinian Occupied Territories would not have occurred.
India has 600,00 troops in Kashmir - in fact, no-one knows the true number because the Indian government refuses to release relevant data. Kashmir and the Occupied Territories are heavily militarized zones, that tells us all we need to know about the aggressive nature of India's and Israel's policies towards Kashmiris and Palestinians.

You have misunderstood my post. I was not comparing nation states and their armies with the Hamas, but other insurgent groups from different regions of the world like the PKK, LTTE, etc., with the Hamas and the insurgent groups of Kashmir.
P.S.: I don't agree with what's happening in Kashmir and I'm strongly against human rights violations, but the Indian policy towards Kashmiris is not comparable to Israel's policy towards Palestine. For starters, Israel doesn't consider the Palestinians as their own citizens and they're laying siege to Gaza but blockading them of essential rights and services. They have been actively occupying and settling Israelis in Palestinian lands where the demographics between Israelis and Palestinians have been completely reversed since 1940s. And by occupying, I don't mean having soldiers on ground which Indian army has plenty of in Kashmir, but actively settling Jews in Palestinian lands after evicting them from their homes to reverse the demographics of the area.
In the case of Kashmir, India has been controlling the valley since 1947 but the muslim population of the valley still remains more than 96%. If anything, the hindu population in the valley has decreased with the exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits. The Kashmiris are recognised as Indian citizens by India, it's just that the majority of Kashmiris don't want to be recognised as such. Also I don't think India ever rained missiles and rockets on the Kashmiri civilian population, never mind hundreds of them that happen in Israel and Palestine.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi contacted Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud on Friday to express "Pakistan's serious concerns" on the "grave situation" in Palestine, according to a statement from the Foreign Office (FO).
"FM Qureshi expressed Pakistan’s serious concerns on the storming of the Al Aqsa Mosque and grave human rights violations.
"He condemned the continued attacks by the Israeli Defence Forces against the Palestinians, in particular innocent civilians and children, adding that the Israeli acts defied all norms of humanity and international law," said the statement.
It added that Qureshi also recalled the Pakistan-Saudi Arabia joint statement issued during PM Imran Khan's recent visit to the country, recalling that the statement included the shared perspective of the two countries on the Palestinian issue.
"The foreign minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s full support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, especially their right to self-determination and establishment of their independent state with pre-1967 borders and East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative and relevant UN resolutions."
The Saudi foreign minister, in turn, also expressed his reservations on the "serious developments in Palestine" and briefed FM Qureshi on the initiatives being taken to address the situation.
Qureshi further welcomed Saudi Arabia's initiative to convene an emergency meeting of the Organi*sation of Islamic Cooperation's (OIC) executive committee at the foreign ministers' level on May 16 (Sunday) and assured his Saudi counterpart of "Pakistan’s unequivocal support for the just cause of Palestine".
"Expressing gratitude for the warm Saudi hospitality during the prime minister’s recently concluded visit, FM Qureshi apprised his counterpart of the post-visit telephone call between Prime Minister Imran Khan and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques His Majesty King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, during which the two leaders also conferred on the serious situation in Palestine and the need for urgent steps to address it.
"The two foreign ministers agreed to continue close consultations and coordination on the evolving situation in Palestine," said the statement.
Qureshi had said on Wednesday that Pakistan was concerned about the recent violence in Palestine and that Muslims countries needed to unite in order to raise awareness about the issue.

Palestinians flee amid Israeli attacks on Gaza
Israeli forces stormed the Al-Aqsa mosque on the 27th of Ramazan earlier this month after Palestinians' resistance to forced evictions from the East Jerusalem neighnourhood of Sheikh Jarrah.
In response to tear gas and shelling at Islam's third holiest site on Laylatul Qadr, rockets were fired at Israel by Hamas from Gaza, to which Israel responded by a barrage of air strikes on Monday, which have intensified in six days since then.
Around 120 Palestinians, including dozens of children and women, have been killed by Israeli forces in the past week with several neighbourhoods and apartment buildings destroyed.
On Friday, Palestinians grabbed their children and belongings and fled neighbourhoods on the outskirts of Gaza City as Israel unleashed a heavy barrage of artillery fire and airstrikes, killing a family of six in their home. Israel said it was clearing a network of militant tunnels ahead of a possible ground invasion.
Israel has massed troops along the border and called up 9,000 reservists as fighting intensifies with Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip. The Israeli military has launched more than 600 airstrikes, toppling at least three high-rise apartment buildings, and has shelled some areas with tanks stationed near the frontier.
The Gaza Health Ministry said the toll from the fighting has risen to 119 killed, including 31 children and 19 women, with 830 wounded. Palestinians living outside Gaza City, near the northern and eastern frontiers with Israel, fled the intense artillery bombardment on Friday. Families arrived at the UN-run schools in the city in pick-up trucks, on donkeys and by foot, hauling pillows and pans, blankets and bread.

Palestine on Friday expressed deep appreciation for Pakistan’s principled, steadfast and unflinching support to Palestine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
The statement came during a telephonic conversation between Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and his Palestinian counterpart Dr Riyad Al Maliki, the statement said.
Dr Maliki appreciated Prime Minister Imran Khan’s clear and unambiguous position on the recent crisis and thanked Pakistan for the consistent diplomatic support received to Palestine at regional and international fora.

Thousands have people have gathered on the streets of central London to protest in solidarity with Palestinians amid the ongoing conflict with Israel.
"Immediate action" is needed by the UK government, organisers say, to help end the "brutal" violence against the people of Palestine.
By midday on Saturday, thousands of people had begun marching through Hyde Park in central London, chanting "free, free Palestine" and holding banners, heading towards the Israeli embassy.
Labour MPs Zarah Sultana and Diane Abbott are expected to give speeches, as is former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.
It comes after thousands of Palestinians were forced to flee their homes after days of sustained attacks.
Since Monday evening, Hamas, a Palestinian militant group, has fired hundreds of rockets towards Israel, which responded by attacking the Gaza Strip with tanks and air strikes.
In Gaza, at least 126 people have died, including 31 children and 20 women, while in Israel, seven people have been killed, including a six-year-old boy and a soldier.
Saturday's demonstration in London was organised by Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Friends of Al-Aqsa, Palestinian Forum in Britain, Stop The War Coalition, Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament and the Muslim Association of Britain.

The foreign minister was addressing an emergency meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) where he lambasted Israel for its tyrannical measures, which include bombing Gaza and killing scores of innocent children.
"Israel is violating human rights laws in Gaza," slammed the foreign minister. "The attack on the Palestinians is a violation of international law as well."
Blaming the Israeli Army for killing unarmed Palestinians, the minister said it was up to the international community to take concrete measures to stop the bloodbath in Palestine.
"Pakistan condemns Israel's aggression in strong words," he said. "Israel's aggression in Gaza should stop immediately."
The foreign minister also thanked the OIC for arranging an emergency meeting to condemn Israeli atrocities in the region.

"They were safe in their homes, they did not carry weapons, they did not fire rockets," he had said of his children, who were killed "wearing their clothes for Eid-ul-Fitr", the holiday marking the end of Ramadan.
Both Hadidi and Mohammad Abu Hattab, his brother-in-law and host, were away from Hattab's home when it collapsed. The Abu Hattabs' five-month-old baby also survived.

As per details, Haq plans to lead protests in Islamabad against the massacre in Gaza being conducted by the Israeli Army, on May 21.

Excuse for what?
I have said many times I don’t care about Palestine or Israel, but I do not let my religious beliefs from preventing me from recognizing Israel’s contribution to the world.
Islamophobia is a consequence of the collective failure of the Muslim world. The Muslims have been the least successful nation in the world over the past century. It is the real reason for the rise of Islamophobia.
Playing the victim card will not change the ground realities and will not put an end to Islamophobia. Only introspection and improving the image and status of Muslim countries will put an end to Islamophobia.
Hatred for Muslims will evolve into respect and admiration for Muslims when the Muslims have achieved a position of respect and admiration.

I think migration is the best solution. There are already a lot of Palestinians in the West and even other Arab countries so it should not be a problem. Going for war would set the world back by another 10 years and we can’t afford it anymore.
Now hypothetically speaking, even if they wage a war and Palestinians win the war and set Palestine free (highly unlikely to happen) then what would happen next? What about the economic effects of the war and it’s not like Palestinians who are living outside Palestine ( a much better life than Palestine) would come back and Palestine would suddenly become a superpower or economic powerhouse.

A league of Muslim nations on Sunday demanded that Israel halt attacks killing Palestinian civilians amid heavy fighting between it and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, even as fissures between countries over their recognition of Israel emerged.

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud opened the OIC meeting by urging the global community to end the escalation in violence and revive peace negotiations based on a two-state solution.
The 57-member body accused the United Nations Security Council of inertia. Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei issued a separate statement on Sunday, tweeted by Malaysia's premier, calling for an emergency UN General Assembly meeting.
Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates called for a ceasefire. "De-escalation and the highest degree of restraint are important to avoid dragging the region to new levels of instability," said UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem al-Hashimy.
However, recent normalisation deals between Israel and some nations in the group — as well as their own concerns about Hamas — saw diplomats at points instead criticise each other.
“The massacre of Palestinian children today follows the purported normalisation,” Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said. “This criminal and genocidal regime has once again proven that friendly gestures only aggravate its atrocities.”
The past week has seen some of the worst violence across Israel and the Palestinian territory since the 2014 war in Gaza, with militants launching missiles and Israel pounding the blockaded coastal strip home to two million people with heavy fire. At least 188 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza with 1,230 people wounded. Eight people in Israel have been killed.
The OIC statement called on Israel to respect Muslims’ access to Al Aqsa Mosque, the third-holiest site in Islam, as well as stop settlers from forcibly evicting Palestinian families from their homes.
“The plight of the Palestinian people is the bleeding wound of the Islamic world today,” Afghan Foreign Minister Mohammad Haneef Atmar said.
But the video conference meeting saw some delegates instead turn their fire toward countries like Bahrain, Morocco, Sudan and the United Arab Emirates, Muslim nations which reached normalisation deals last year to recognise Israel. While Egypt and Jordan earlier reached peace deals, supporters of the Palestinians criticised the new countries for recognising Israel before the formation of an independent Palestinian state.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu joined Zarif in criticising the normalisation, though Israel maintains diplomatic ties with Ankara.
“There are a few who have lost their moral compass and voiced support for Israel,” he said. “If there are half-hearted statements within our own family, how could we criticise others? Who will take our words seriously?”
FM Cavusoglu also called for an international protection mechanism for Palestinian civilians and told the OIC that Israel should be held accountable for war crimes and that the International Criminal Court could play a role.
Zarif accused Israel of “genocide and crimes against humanity”.
“Make no mistake: Israel only understand the language of resistance and the people of Palestine are fully entitled to their right to defend themselves,” Zarif said.

I would try and come to an arrangement with you whilst accepting your dominance. You call it cowardice but I call it damage limitation and fighting for survival.
As I educated you the other day, international law is not enforceable. The Palestinians will continue to see their youth die and their civilians and children brutalized if they continue to fight a war that they cannot win.
Fighting when you have no chance of winning and have no resources is not bravery. It is stupidity of the highest order.
The people of Palestine should not be encouraged by the statements of armchair supporters like yourself who do not have the courage to leave their homes and join them in this war.

Might is right when there is no one to enforce law, it is human nature.
You can call the Palestinians great human beings but they will achieve nothing with this greatness if they do not realize that their tactics and resistance will never produce anything positive.
The only way out for Palestine, and the only way they can preserve their future, is to realize that they will never overpower the most intelligent nation in the world with one of the most advanced armies with a bunch of untrained civilians with no weapons.
Moreover, the Muslim countries including Pakistan do not have the courage to fight Israel. Verbal criticism and chest-thumping on social media will not hurt Israel.

Then they would just get away with displacing muslims in West Bank, ofcourse the pr would completely turn against them, but its not like anyone is stopping Chinas oppression of muslims, what happened in Burma was not stopped, its not even an agenda against muslims, because west is not even saving Christians in Pakistan.

For the sake of the Palestinians they should try migrating to nearby lands like Egypt or Jordan. They should try engaging other countries for migration because fact is things are going to get only worse with time. Even if a 2 state solution is adopted (which I prefer) there will be an obvious discrimination when resources are to be shared. It's simply not enough that one recognises the other. Israel still hold the majority of resources even in the west bank.

20% of Israel is Arabs...and their situation is very nuanced...it’s not unusual for someone to view themselves as both Israeli and Palestinian while being furious with say what happens in Gaza...Christian Arabs for example are wealthier on average than Jews...Druze Arabs tend to join the army more...Bedouins view themselves as Bedouins...but obviously within those subgroups there will lots of exceptions...some despise Israel’s politics but would prefer Israel to living in Palestine cos they are secular...you will have those who hate Israel, don’t believe it should exist and want a Palestinian state...

Islamic countries should represent their people's voices regarding Palestine issue: Shahbaz
Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif on Monday addressed the floor of the Lower House and spoke in detail about the ongoing situation in Palestine.
The PML-N president said he would not shed light on the government's tactics against the Opposition as the lawmakers had gathered today to voice their concerns against Israel's attacks on Palestine.
Innocent people were attacked in Al-Aqsa Mosque after which Israel's air force pummeled the Gaza strip and destroyed numerous homes, the Opposition leader said.
"Since 1948, the way that Israeli governments and their armed forces have attacked Palestinians is not hidden from anyone," he said.
In East Jerusalem, extremists had chanted "Death to Arabs" and the entire world witnessed the attacks on innocent Palestinians after that, he said.
He said that six to seven million Palestinians have been displaced from their homes because of Israeli aggression, adding that if a Muslim country had restored to such atrocities, then war would have been started against it.
"Today, international media is silent. If another country had killed so many innocent civilians, the whole world would have imposed sanctions on it," said Shahbaz.
Shahbaz further said that Islamic countries should represent people's emotions regarding the Palestine issue, adding that Muslim nations should unite and voice their concerns without wasting time.
He also suggested that Pakistan should observe "Youm-e-Quds" on Friday to show solidarity with the people of Palestine and said that Pakistan should send relief to Palestine through the Red Cross.
"The ruthless murder of Palestinians should stop immediately," Shahbaz said. "Otherwise, history will not forgive us if we do not raise our voices for the people of Palestine and Occupied Kashmir."
Shahbaz, however, praised the international human rights watch for terming Israel's atrocities against Palestinians as "apartheid" — a system of institutionalised racial segregation that existed in South Africa and South-West Africa (now Namibia) from 1948 until the early 1990s.
"A similar situation is prevalent in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir," he said. "I was shocked to hear that the foreign minister [Shah Mahmood Qureshi] said Article 370 — the revocation of Kashmir's special status — was India's internal matter," he said.

Faisal Edhi files visa application for Palestine to help war-torn country
Pakistani humanitarian Faisal Edhi has announced that he has submitted a visa request with the Palestinian embassy in Pakistan to fly to Palestine and help the country that has been under attack by the Israeli forces.
“We want to take part in the relief work in Palestine via the Edhi Foundation. Five people, including my son Saad Edhi [and myself], will be going to Palestine,” Faisal told Geo News on Monday. He said that he will be going to Palestine via Egypt, adding that he has applied for a visa for the country.
The son of renowned philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi and chairman of the Edhi Foundation said that representatives of his organisation met with the Palestinian envoy in Islamabad and were informed that there is an urgent need for medicines in the war-torn country.
Faisal said that his organisation will buy food and medicine from Egypt, adding that the foundation has set aside a budget of “Rs25-30 million” for the purpose.
“We do not want any support from the government as we will do everything with the help of people,” vowed Edhi. However, he added that the five people visiting the country will be in touch with the Pakistani embassy in Cairo.
Regarding the duration of his trip, Faisal said that the decision will be taken once the team reaches Palestine and assesses the situation there.

I fear for Faisal Edhi's safety. In a country like Pakistan, men like Edhis are rarely born. We need him in Pakistan so at least poor people have a chance to reach hospitals.

Palestinians sadly have no options left. Power & might is with the Israel & the west. Only USA can solve this matter. Let's be honest here, Israel wants whole of palestine exclusively for the jews. They will keep up resisting to the bitter end while slowly being grinded down by Israel as they eventually take over the entirety of West Bank as that is their end goal. Israel have no interest in Gaza as its to their advantage to keep it alive so as they can play the 'Hamas' card whenever they want (Israel has a hand in their creation). As it stands Palestinians will end up being refugees to other countries, killed/displaced or just swallowed up by Israel.
Western nations are not going to come to their aid, US is still alpha dog and the rest of the world fall in tow. China and Russia are pipe-dreams equivalent to how Muslims in the US see the president from the other party will be their saviour. UN only came to save Bosnians after they were mostly wiped out, paid lip service to the Rohingya flight until the military deposed their darling Aung and only displays 'concerns' about the Uighyurs due to their anti-Chinese intentions.
If it wasn't due to the sheer incompetency and corruption of the Arabic/Muslim world, Israel would have been held in check with what they are able to get away with but we are way past that point now. We should have had the clout, influence and strength to prevent this farce but we as a community failed and this is also extends to the Rohingyas, Kashmiris, Uighyurs and Yemenis. Its with absolute disgust I see the dramatic fall and state of these lands that are led by weak willed, corrupted men and puppets to foreign powers in the past 100 - 150 years (though this is a resultant to the decay of the Ottomans).

I think the Arabs that are already Israeli citizens (15-20%) and the Palestinians living under apartheid in West bank should stay. History has shown that, unless there is a genocide to wipe them out, their struggle will eventually succeed.
