What do you guys think of Nawaz Sharif coming back to power?

Sher has many jealous ennemies in the jungle. It won't prevent him for ruling and shutting up haters :yk

Don't poke your fingers twice in the same snake hole. He is not an able leader,

o bhai kitney lesson parhao gey app? double triple Phd hogayee.

but you are correct, for some reason us Pakistani when it comes to politics, we vote for short term future by electing these haram khor, never able to think for a long term future.

no idea about pakistan politics,

but looks like that the 180m living in pakistan are all mental, who vote these people again n again and you lot know more than the living 180m population. At the end of the day who ever is winning the elections, he or she has been voted for that position (If you think I am wrong, than people who are dishing out advices, should consider getting their hands dirty and moving to Pakistan and helping to sort those issues out) :)

you cannot say that they rig the elections massively, because if IK wins, would that means that he has rigged the elections too

Secondly, why do people advocate for a top down technocracy rule. Majority of the countries like UK and US the technocracy is more of a botom up.

It isnt easy for SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to take critical leadership decisions, because the scope of objectives/goals and the whole idea of looking at the bigger picture isnt achieved in a top down technocracy

Leader of Pakistan twice in the 1990's. Then exiled until 2007.

Do you think he would be a good leader for Pakistan? Of course he is most well known for having the nuclear weapons developed under him. And construction of Motorway.

He is from Punjab so he does show that province preferential treatment, no doubt about it. And he is corrupt, but then again few politicians are not. But I also think his economic policies might be more beneficial to Pakistan than people think.

What are your feelings on Nawaz Sharif? I'd like to have a thread of healthy debate on this person who could possibly be the next leader of Pakistan. Please try not to devolve into stupid pictures and nonsense.

So you still need a "debate" to figure out the worth of Nawaz Shareef or you are his secret admirer?

Let me tell you this ... it's EXACTLY the people like YOU that will prevent a positive change in Pakistan.

Some really interesting posts and stories in this thread from 2013

Hahahaha....great find!

Lot of people were suspicious about Nawaz Sharif and he didn't disappoint anyone.

Spent years in exile only to start where he left:

- More interested in setting his next generations up for power.
- Taking sons on official tours for personal businesses.
- Multiple foreign tours with absolutely no gains.

It's still about HIM and his family.

And some guys expect him to change now after failing 3 times as PM!
