Are you a fan of the modern turbocharged phenomena or a practitioner of the naturally aspirated engine?

Prefer the big bulky cars of today or more streamlined/lightweight geometry of yesteryear?

What’s your all time favourite, could be a super car or practical daily?

The tech, safety and reliability of cars now is top notch. Having carplay et al is nice and handy to, comfort is pretty decent. Perhaps the actual driving engagement may lack some impetus though potentially, but this also comes down to preference

I like a reliable car (one that doesn't break down much).

I like SUVs the most but I currently drive a Honda Civic 2016.

The BMW E30 has fascinated me the most, such a beautiful chassis and with a silky smooth straight 6; it truly must have been the ultimate driving machine. I think that era was BMW’s peak, ever since, not sure if they’ve achieved the same notoriety

Beautiful SUV that, what do you think of the Land Rover defender? which appears to have inspired the G wagon design

Land Rover Defender is a great lower cost option which excels more than the G Wagon in certain aspects. It's more aerodynamic which is better for fuel efficiency and some say it's a better drive on-road.

However, I prefer the G Wagon because it's unrivalled when it comes to comfort.

Tough question. I am a JDM fan overall who still thinks BMW M3 03 was one of the greatest cars of all time.

Currently my favorite car is the Nissan Skyline R34. It JUST became street legal in US.

But the car closest to my heart is…

The 1999-2000 Honda Civic. Holds a sentimental value, and is still a sleeper build. My grandfather was buying this car back in 2000 and was very invested in it, he let me choose the exterior/interior colors etc. But it never transpired. Since then that has been like the WC streak for me to break and In Sha Allah I want to get the 2022 Civic soon which IMO is the best Civic by far since the cult hero late 90s edition.

Real ones know about the legend of a late 90s civic with a laptop inside. Slayer of many a racers.

Also the OG early 2000s Gallant. What a beauty. Only the Asian exclusive edition. Euro and US editions lacked the charm due to different front bumpers.

Car culture peaked for me in the 2000s… Need for Speed played a big part in it too :asif

2008 Tiburon is also one of the most underrated cars of that era. Few years before most companies went all in to the crossover hype.

The E46 is a legendary car no doubt! and you can get it without paying silly money. Ah the naughties skyline was my PC wallpaper for so long, how come it wasn’t road legal 🤔

Ah you have to get in the Civic then! I’d go for the OG one! but older cars you need to give some TLC regularly , not seen the new one but would have thought the OG one was untouchable

Haha the skyline fandom started for me from NOS Underground and them mods on it 🔥🔥

Lexus and Merc's SUVs are really nice, especially their high end tech functions.
I really like Merc's GLC bounce option

GLC is decent, the GLB is such a money grab, I had it as a courtesy and it was so cramped.

If not the Civic then I’ll go for the 2000 Accord Coupe…

Look at this beauty. Just some very basic mods and it can fit in in any era including this one.

Pic doesn’t show the taillights but their design was way ahead of its time too.

Nah they haven’t. They have low plastic under the hood now too… “planned obsolescence” as it’s called. The stuff up until the 2000s were built to last a while.

Beautiful car though and a true icon.

convertables for me, i like the wind in my face and i like to subject the people around me to my bad music taste :)

I really like Merceedes GLA and planning to get one next year

Has to be the Toyota Alphard.

It looks like the most comfortable car to be sat in, not necessarily drive.

Does anyone here drive a Tesla? How do you find the drive? I'm looking into getting one to save on fuel costs but not sure I like the feel of the regenerative brakes

Regenerative brakes are awesome once you get used to it, much easier on the feet.
It takes just 1 day to get used to it, you can change so much in tesla based on preference it’s remarkable, I drove it only for a week but every car seemed meh after that.
I drove in North America , can’t speak about Europe.

Thanks -- Yes, that's what many people say, that it's a great drive. I'll try and test drive it again and see how it goes

What did you make of the legendary CRX?

What did folk make of the bigger BMW grill, I didn't like it at first, but in the new M3 touring I feel it's spot on; the size of it is sort of proportional to the wider body and it doesn't look out of place as much:

This car very much made to some extent for the enthusiast, they've been waiting for an M3 touring forever!
