What should Pakistan do with the captured Indian pilots?

Pakistan has captured at least 2 Indian air force pilots.

India have altogether denied any loss of personnel.

What should Pakistan do?

1) Interrogate the pilots and keep them as prisoners.

2) Hand them over to India without preconditions and be the bigger nation.

3) Make them spill the beans over surgical strikes and then hand them over/ keep them as prisoners.

If India is denying loss of their pilots, what will happen if Pakistan decide to hand them back to India? Will India accept? If they dont, what message will it send across to Indian air force????

Given how long the IAF took to even acknowledge that at least one of their pilots was unaccounted for, he could have been tortured, killed and buried before the Indians even decided to swallow their pride and admit that he was missing. It was definitely a choice and Pakistan made the right one.

Brother he is not a prisoner of war. This was not war and geneva conventions dont apply here. It was an invasion by a foreign aircraft in a non-war situation.

We are signatories to Geneva Convention. Military personnel captured in uniform during hostilities must be accorded all rights as governed by the Geneva Convention.

Agreed. I lost trust in India-Pakistan negotiations. So many have happened and no real progress was made.

Every fighter pilot carries weapons with him.

I will narrate the versions of events according to a retired PAF officer. When his plane was shot down and he ejected, he was not sure if he was in India or on Pakistani territory.

The locals had gathered around and he asked them for confirmation. The people mislead him by telling that he was in India. He was obviously skeptical - he responded by shouting "Jai Hind" which angered the locals and thus proving his suspicion.

He did hawai firing with his pistol and ran. When he came across the stream of water where he was eventually captured, he tried to flush down all his documents. This is where he was intercepted by the angry mob who would have killed if the Pakistan Army Captain had not intervened him at the right moment.

He is clearly a prisoner of war and there are no grounds on which he can be mistreated without violating the international law. He will be allowed to return to India soon unharmed. However, that does not mean that Pakistan cannot ask for negations. They are in a leveraged position now and can put forward some demands.

Pakistan army should treat him fairly but should not go overboard with demonstrating how kindly he is being treated. He should be dealt with professionally, debriefed and ensure he is securely held in an unknown location.

Not sure why there has been no official ban on unsanctioned videos released by the Pakistani military folks on the social media using their personal phones. If I were their commanding officer, I would give them an earful.
