England are starting to build a lead. What should be the comfortable score for Pakistan to chase here?

Pak will get a 50ish target imo.

Anything above 120 will be hard and anything above 150, we may choke :yk

IA we got it tho :)

Have to say... the captaincy has been pretty ordinary after tea... Sarfaraz let the two batsmen settle with a same dimensional attack... anything under 100 is achievable but over 100 is going to be mighty difficult... this game is Pakistan’s to loose and Sarfaraz will unfortunately be the one responsible

You do realise that the other team is there to compete and isn't simply going to roll over and lose...

Plus the ball was reversing earlier but not much happening now.

150 maximum and considering we had England 110-6 to get to a position of chasing 150 plus would be a huge psychological blow.

With babar out and Azahr unreliable in 4th innings I would feel a bit nervous chasing 150+.

Below 180 - Pak will chase easily.
From 180 to 250 - Its 50-50
More than 250 - Game over for Pak

Upto 150 should be ok. I think Haris Sohail should be given the ball tomorrow.
A left arm spinner against right handers will be good contest.

Honestly anything over a 100 I’ll be nervous. It will be overcast and we have made rookie spinners heros in the past

Buttler is dangerous batsman if they don’t get him out with new ball, he can score 100 in a session

I think anything up to 200 is fairly comfortable as pitch should still be good for batting.

Anything above 150 and we are in trouble. But with the new ball due after 2 overs I'd say we can restrict the lead to 100-120

more than 150 will be a toughest task to chase so i hope that they will restrict them under 130 140 max

Pakistan is one batsman short. Will loose if more than 125 is chased.

Will Babar bat tomorrow ?

If it is really a fracture, it will be at least a few weeks before he can bat again. I wouldn't be surprised if he remains unavailable for the entire season.

Big blow for Pakistan this :(

180 would be about the limit I'd be confident with, and that would be tough. Batting last is a lot of pressure.

Pakistan will clean the tail tomorrow morning
It was nothing in for the bowlers but tomorrow morning there will definitely be something for the bowlers and the lead will be No More Then 80 but I’ll say 100 just to be on the safe side

I think these two will go on, and bairstow will get 100 not out, and I think Pakistan will have to chase 200 to win

This is where I feel Pakistan missed a pacer like Wahab. Their attack seemed tamed once the english players got settled, we need some thunder bolts to put fear in the batsmen, especially tailenders.

Pakistan have let this slip away. Safraz has been too quiet verbally.

Towards the end I don't know why he didn't allow ul haq/Harris have a at least two overs each to see if the would play a stupid shot/ lose concentration

Anything above 100, and you should be worried.

Can probably chase up to 150, albeit nervously. But above that.... difficult.

150 max. Pak struggled against Ireland too to chase.

Anything close to 180+, England will win. Pak will be playing without Azam.

It’s for times like this, that I appreciate Azhar Ali even more

I voted for 120-150. That's the max. Won't be confident chasing anything more.

Anything below 160 odd will be chaseable and I highly doubt England will get there.

Butler and Bess will get out driving tomorrow morning in order to up the ante while Broad, Wood, Anderson are all sitting ducks

If we can't get them all out by lunch tomorrow I think we'll be done.

I don't have a good feeling about this. We've let them get set and batting on day 4 is usually easier.

Only the new ball can save us

The captaincy was certainly ordinary. Pak had a lead of 60+ runs and Sarfraz had only 2 slips...why not go for 3 slips for the pacers? Surround the bat while Shadab was bowling? He was too afraid that Buttler's striking would take the game away from them...Buttler did but not with boundaries, rather with patience, application and support from Bess.

Pak are still in the driver's seat but that was some ordinary captaincy.

it doesn't seem like we can chase anything at this point as the next 2 days will be a wash out according to the forecast

I think they'll be set around 110-120, which is easily chase-able. Anything above 150 is where the 4th innings choking syndrome for Pakistan could set in and possibly lose 5-6 wickets in a session and case the match.

I reckon they'll get the job done but there's always an outside chance of things going awry when it's Pakistani batting involved, particularly in recent years with the final innings of a Test match.

Balanced post 👍
It’s all in the first hour, if butler survives that with loss of Bess at most England would have a fair chance

If the target is between 120-150 then we'll chase it down but with 6-7 wickets down. 150+ and we lose the game.

I told you :)
