Avatar 3D

9/10

Amazing. One of the best movies of the year.
Both literally and figuratively "out of this world"! The film has amazing graphics and decent storyline. A good adventure story and lotsa action.

Probably the best sci-fi movie by a mile. 9/10.

James Cameron (from Titanic) wrote, produced and directed the movie. I teased my wife and said this is Titanic for Aliens :14:

Rocket Singh - very enjoyable, different from typical Bollywood fare

The underlying themes are very appropriate for current state of world affairs.

So true.

However people musn't think about this being an "aliens" movie. It is like a "Dances with Wolves", but there are aliens living in a forest and will protect their land and the people from earth are flying around in Star Wars gear and walking in Transformer like stuff. There is a culture and civilivation clash. :13:

Sherlock Holmes - very enjoyable, RDJ was brilliant as always

I didn't know RD Jadeja was in it. I hope Shakti Kapoor was the sidekick or villain

Jude's close enough, I think...was reading up on Wiki and it says the director Guy Ritche (RockNRolla, Snatch) was considering Russell Crowe

but I guess the s** appeal factor probably comes into it as well

Just got home from Avatar, looked pretty in 3D and all that but it was the most predictable, cliched, dull, drawn out, cheesy nonsense I've watched in a long time. Waste of nearly 3 hours.

I actually got angry at James Cameron at points at just how much the movie was insulting my intelligence

Got around to watching Terminator Salvation.

Plot was convoluted & Christian Balle was pretty awful.

Yeah, that was truly awful. Just removed everything that made the first two Terminator films interesting and replaced it with exploding stuff

And I've just realised exactly what Avatar is:

A rubbish Princess Mononoke.

watched 2012 sometime back - as mentioned, pretty rubbish

But the Russian pilot, Sasha, was legendary, and should be nominated, for Best Supporting Role Oscar, if not winning it. What an immense character who would have made any gentle and peaceful human cry after his last appearance in the movie.

umm no, not winning it... have you not seen Col. Hans Landa in Inglorious Basterds

watched Amir Khan's new film 3 idiots. Very Very good film. Amazing Film. Highlights the problem in the education system which infect both Indian and Pakistani institutions.

not the whole movie, but part of it....anyway, in that case Sasha should be nominated.

haha, reminds me of Armageddon and Colonel Lev Andropov who is a total legend:

"American components, Russian components, ALL MADE IN TAIWAN!"

i watched aloo chaat (2009) was funny made me laugh storyline aise hee thi but comedy bits made me crack up punjabi style!! Aamna Shariff looks beautiful as always!!! and Aftab those dimples are so cute!!

I watched 2012

Most easily a candidate for one of the worst films I have ever seen. Awful acting. Seriously dodgy script.

Even by 'disaster-movie' standards, the car escapes & plane scene were laughably unbelievable!!!

I love how its only the USA that can save us from Armageddon!!! My mate cheered when the Washington was overcome by a Tsunami & the White House crumbled to dust!

0/10 - Thank god I didnt pay to watch this crap!

not even a mention of one of the best, if not the best, supporting roles played by that Russian pilot?

I mean who here was not moved by his presence and actions? Who here did not shed a tear as his life came to an abrupt halt?

:)) if you consider overacting with an annoying Russian accent to be the greatest piece of cinema ever

How many times can you escape from a collapsing earth below you... too many times in this movie!

but its a good movie =D

..the script was'nt very original I suppose...a soppy love story like in Titanic?

'Aladdin' (from Bollywood):

An utter garbage it was and even the occasional comedy wouldn´t make up for the time waste:boom:!

Oxy are you against good Bollywood movies just because they are Indian? I mean do you reject everything Bollywood good or bad?

I am very selective about Bollywood movies myself but there are many good ones out there.

sherlock holmes

was okay, didnt find it amazing, as some are saying.. the story wasnt that gr8... plus Guy Ritchies previous works are better like Snatch and Lock Stock

7/10

Plus its a HUGE let down for anyone who's ever actually read even a single paragraph written by Arthur Conan Doyle on the real Holmes, or seen any of the various TV adaptations of Holmes....!

I haven't seen the movie yet but judging from the trailers and the director i always knew its gonna have an entirely different feel than the books. Best not to compare the two. If they were gonna make a more classic sherlock holmes movie i think the team of Daniel day lewis and Paul thomas anderson would create something epic.

can anyone suggest some good disaster movies like Deep Impact, Day After Tomorrow, Volcano etc???

'Kissaan' (from Bollywood) starring Sohail Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Jackie Shroff:

Was a film about farmers, the hardships they go through and the way they live in villages with their own lifestyle. Basically the idea was impressive but wasn´t implemented in an ideal way by Sohail Khan. Minor issues were blown out of proportion reasonlessly. However, will have to give to them for making a better film than few of the ones that been released in the recent months.

May be you don't understand hindi well.

Most Bollywood movies are cheesy and pathetic. Even the so called good one's are way OTT and unrealistic.

3 idiots. Brilliant movie and very true. Amir khan pulls the right strings!

'Blue' (from Bollywood) starring Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Zaid Khan and Lara Dutta:

A film which failed to make any sense at all:|! Too many twists and turns could only have added to the misery of the viewers. Was very boring:boom:!

Das Boot

Old but excellent action (War) movie. It's a french movie with English sub-title. Must watch if you haven't watched it yet.

Have you watched 3 Idiots, yet ? If not, do yourself a favor and watch it. You'll laugh your head off. I'm saying this since I know that you do watch Bollywood movies.

I have a choice between Inglorious Basterds and Public Enemies for tonight. Which one should I go for?

What did you guys think of them?

Inglorious Basterds.

Stunning film.
More than that - was truly awesome, saw it three times in the fortnight after it came out and it was interesting on the third time too.

Tarantino at his best - up there with Pulp Fiction.

Kurbaan.

Didn't caught me one bit, or may be I feeling too tired to enjoy that.

Aao Wish Karein.

A kiddie Movie, but I don't think my son will like it. He loves "BhoothNath" though.

Aladin.

Why actors of Amitabh and Sunjay Dutt's caliber decided to work in it is simply beyond me.
