Watched "7 Khoon Maaf" it was OK.

I'm surprised Imran Hashmi was'nt in it (his cup of tea) or that could been him disguised as the old man taking viagra ;-)

SPOILER ALERT

Anyway, can someone explain to me how Priyanka knew that Nasirudin Shah was going to kill her? The part where he is shaving and she is standing behind him and she notices something, anyone clarify what happened here?

It's an oldie, but, I watched Chinatown against, yesterday. It is my favourite noir movie of all time. I love the slow pace of the movie and the way you get engulfed into the dark world of corruption and intrigue with Jack Nicholson.

Does anyone else, who has seen this, feel that the villain of the movie is the greatest hollywood negative character of all time?

BTW, there is also a bollywood "remake" of this movie called "Manorama - 8 Feet Under". I watched it with zero expectations knowing Bollywood's past record of inspired stories but was pleasantly surprised with what I saw.

Limitless..

pretty good movie.. was entertained throughout..I wish I had those pills too :D

Big momma the new 1.. kinda crap shud have watched limitless may watch it this friday

I watched Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones again for some reason.

Amazing how obvious and bad the green screen shooting appears now, looks like how most fan made movies look.

Attack of the Clones is still new. You should watch New Hope or Empire Strikes Back or Return of the Jedi again. I showed New Hope to a cousin who is in school and he couldn't get why these movies were so popular.

To be frank, I also saw them decades after their release but, for some reason, I remember liking them. As a kid, I used to take old tubelights and fight using them.

Brother - Tobey Maguire, Jake Gyllenhaal, Natalie Portman - not bad at all. Marine away from wife and kids while brother gives his borther's family the attention they crave... leading to awkward situation when the War veteran returns, whom the rest thought was dead...

Shelter - Julianne Moore. Again, intersesting. A Phsyco / mental patient who at first seems to have split personalities but actually is the subject of witchcraft. This is more about jinns (an interpretion of), though not a bad story line...

has to be said, Band baaja Baraat was one indian movie that is worth a watch. Loved it!

Agreed.

A friend tricked me into watching it. He called me up and asked me to come to a multiplex for another movie that I wanted to watch and when I reached, he told me that he has tickets for this movie only.

However, it turned out to be a great watch. I really liked Ranbir Singh (the hero) and I think, he'd have a much better career than so many "star sons".

Hurt locker - Good war film following the dangerous work done by a bomb expert in iraq Had a docu feel to it The scenes were intense n very realistic. Really enjoyable - 9/10

Shutter Island -One of martin scorseses better films in recent years and a pleasant deviation away from his norm. Good intelligent, thriller with a star cast One of the films of 2010- 8.5/10

Ip man - decent martial flick loosely based on the life of the legendary teacher. Some decent action scenes and well acted by donnie yen Worth a watch - 7/10

just saw source code, okay film, was really disapointed with the nonsensical ending. you cannot logically create an alternate universe by accessing anyones memories, because you do not actually change the past, you only observe it. was surprised by jake gyllenhall, thought he would be rubbish but was actually quite good. - 6/10

limitless was good entertainment but the story was full of more holes than a colander. supposedly a pill that makes you remember everything worth knowing cant make you remeber you owe a russian thug 100k. its okay if u just ignore logic. - 5/10

looking forward to fast furious 5, it will be a stupid story, but hope its got nice cars. plus its got gal gadot in it. :razzaq

The insider
Cerpico
Insomnia
I am in al pacino fever

insomnia is quality film, and al pacino is a legend... im just sad to see how di nero has fallen after the heady godfather days.

di nero in limitless was cringe worthy. :danish

'Game' 2011 (Abhishek Bachchan, Kangna Ranaut, Jimmy Shergill, Boman Irani, Anupam Kher)

If you watch it with expectations then you will be disappointed. But without it, it was quite a good film.

A few problems were that Abhishek Bachchan was shown to be too smart, the investigation department was very annoying, particularly Kangna Ranaut who worked awfully bad. The director failed to connect the first and the second with each other.

Scott pilgrim vs world
absolutely brilliant, what a nice surprise

Is this similar to Kickass?

Is this similar to Kickass?

no, although it is based on a comic series! the movie has video game like characters....really nice concept. Not at all into video games but really liked the movie. It has a very good rating on imdb as well. In the end really worth watching it :)

A Prophet - Very good gangster flick about a french arab in prison for a violent crime and how he evolves into a hardened criminal whilst associating with a gang of corsican criminals led by their brutal leader cesar

Excellent performance from all the cast esp niels arestrup who plays cesar. This is a good, realistic n at times uncompromising film which has created noise all over the worlds Definetly worth a watch. 8.5/10

Insidious

Don't usually watch horror movies. This one was pretty good. Plot is well over the top but the objective of the movie is to scare you and it does that pretty well. Good direction. Probably not the scariest movie you'll ever see but still good entertainment.

Harry Brown - Micheal Caine. Good, not bad. Crime / Gun / drug estate culture in London gets out of hand, and ex marine pensioner takes things into his own hands....
7/10

Titanic is a classic.

Experiencing the blistering Atlantic wind at the front of the deck in the quiet cold night...

Wonderful spine tingling emotion. Stirs the heart.

Which other Korean movies have you seen? I have seen quite a few

If you like the gangster type movies, I recommend A Dirty Carnival

Other movies- My Sassy Girl, JSA, Save the Green Planet, Memories of Murder (great police drama)

Iv seen all of those bar Save The Green Planet...got a huge collection of Far Eastern movies...I have Save The Green Planet so I'll definitely give it a watch...thats a top list of movies you have mentioned...

In terms of Korean action thrillers to add to that list...The Chaser is outstanding...Man From Nowhere..and a new one from this year No Mercy...seen Mother lately too which is a class film...

In terms of other thrillers which I didnt particularly like but some do is Tell Me Something and H...H in particular I thought was terrible but some people seem to have given it good reviews...

Korean cinema is top notch...seen some class Japanese stuff lately too...

Blue Spring, Confessions are the best things I saw last week...Confessions in particular was top notch imo although plenty of people seem to have hated it...rewatched Fudoh which is old school Takashi Miike and is hilarious...

Got me a copy of 13 Assassins so will try and catch that later in the week...

13 Assassins is a great movie! Like a samurai version of The Dirty (Bakers) Dozen Last half of the movie is just something else!

Just finished watching 'East is east'. What an absolute disgrace of a movie; I'd give it -1 out of 10.

'Thank You' 2011 (Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Bobby Deol, Irfan Khan, Rimi Sen, Selina Jaitley, Sonam Kapoor)

Well, Anees Bazmee should have learned from his last film ('No Problem' 2010) that even all those stars can´t help you if you don´t have a script in hand to work on. Each 15 minutes of the film didn´t have any connection to the 15 ones.

The film would have been a disater if not for the ever-so entertaining Irfan Khan.

Titanic (once again)
That film never gets too old, just love it

Please don´t mention as it may compel me to watch it right now again:22:. I simply love it:).........

Dont feel too bad, I watched "Make it Happen" only for Winstead too. Crap movie that ! :sohail

Pretty face is not very smart with signing movies it seems.

Paranormal Activity - about Jinns, possession etc.... let's put it this way, the lights were on after this film..

I first saw the original trilogy in 1995, t'was mindblowing stuff. Even now when I watch it I think that the work that they had to put into some of those sets to make them believable, be it building from scratch or combining with a matte painting.

didnt wana make a seperate topic for this, saw it other day, made me lol

The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets Nest - a fitting conclusion to an excellent trilogy.

Now I eagerly await David Fincher's Hollywood remake :)

Yup ''make it happen'' was useless as well...watched it for the same reasons.Final Destination 3 is her only decent movie to date.

probably has to do with not a lot of offers coming in.

also seems its only guys named ''faraz'' that have crushes on her :)

It wouldn't be half the movie turned out to be without that haunting background score.

Talking of Titanic, I quite like Kate Winslet. Eternal Sunshine of Spotless Mind is a mind-blowing fare. I'll have an eternal crush on Kate in that movie.

Looks quite cute but her movie selection sucks. Was good in Die Hard 4 too.

yup forgot that one..

has more to do with movie offers me thinks..she has that kind of clean/cute image that doesnt seem much in demand these days.

The vengeance trilogy again

Great films worth watching over and over again

Memories of murder

Korean police drama retelling the true story of a unsolved serial murder case from a small town in korea in the late 80s early 90s

Good acting and a great story/direction make this an excellent movie and a must watch

9/10

Taqdeerwalla! one of the best Indian comedies

Watched The French Connection I & II I have to admit these 2 movies were VERY good. I stayed away from these movies over the years eventhough I heard they where very good, the main reason for staying away was that they starred Gene Hackman and I'm not a fan of his.

Pulp Fiction to an extent glorifies heroin use (the Travolta scene when he's driving) But these movies show you the horrible side of drug use, I still can't believe how graphic some of the scenes are for these 2 films even though they were made in the 70's. I loved the grittiness. I would totally recommend these 2 movies if you have not seen them.
