just saw the fountain, with hugh jackman in it. interesting film, fairly deep. some time moved to fast, some times moved to slow, but the ending was quite good.

Enjoying the Aronofsky love. I'd recommend Requiem and The Fountain to any serious film-watcher. His canon also features Pi, The Wrestler and Black Swan...very fine director indeed.

It might lower the tone slightly, but I was rooted to my mattress the other day whilst suffering a bout of food poisoning, and watched Chicken Run on iPlayer. Loved it, very smart.

Also have to agree with Dr Freud. Kate Winslet is unreal. And also one of our known :D

Thank You- I liked it. Suniel Shetty is brilliant in this one and some of his scenes had me in stitches :)) I think I'm going to watch it again just for him. Can't say much about other actors but he clearly stands out.

Thor

Did not expect much from this, but have to say it is fantastic! Funny/action packed/excellent script - in the same mould as Iron Man.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
Dissapointing, expected it do be something different but in the end its just another chick flick.

guys need some movie recommendations.

have not watched a thing since Black Swan.

Chick flick? I've heard of it being accused of being a 'hipster flick' but chick flick?

IMO was visually stunning and hilarious (if you like edgar wright movies). I hate michael cera but he was quite good in this movie.

Yeah the production, direction, visuals and all those were great and Edgar Wright did a good job in that department, and that's probably the only reason I considered watching it since Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz are in my all time favourites. I guess he didn't have much to work with since the comic series wasn't that good in the first place. I love the retro video games comic book theme but in the end the story and script was annoying and Michael Cera sorta ruined it for me. Yes it had some funny moments but basically if you've seen the trailer, you've just about seen it all in my opinion.

I don't think the script was annoying. The typical plot was presented in an innovative way with lots of humor. The more I watch it the more I get the subtle jokes I missed the first time. Perhaps you should give it another shot later :)

Yeah I can understand why you hate it though :) I somehow love the movie and is certainly 'my type' of movie.

BTW how'd you like Hot fuzz, Shaun of the dead?

Shaun of the dead was ok/good...a bit overhyped IMO.

havent seen Hot fuzz.should i?

Hot Fuzz is better that Shaun of the Dead imo. I found the end of the latter a bit boring tbh.

2 fast 2 furious 5 - one of the best films I have ever seen, easily the best action film and the fight scene between Diesel and Rock is epic, brilliant film.

dolly ki ai gi baraat - not movie but watched this drama during easter holidays! SO FUNNY.

Four Lions - finally saw it, hilarious.

I agree - the role she played in was brilliant, gotta' love her accent too - a very good film indeed, can't wait for the part 6 :D!

Just got back from the movies after watching Fast Five (Fast and Furious 5)

The fight scene between Vin Diesel and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson was really really good! Overall really enjoyed the film! It was my first time watching any part of the Fast and Furious series and now am definitely going to watch the other 4 parts for sure!

Lads, your spot on about that bit! ;-)

Fast Five: EPIC!

Insidious: Very Good thriller/horror...gives you that creepy feeling while you are watching it but no lingering effects after the movie...

Fast Five-WOW. What a movie. Great stroyline and it was awesome to see everyone from the previous movies to be back again. GREAT action-scenes, fight scenes (Rock and Diesel had an epic brawl), and one of the best car chase I have ever seen (the ending), also had some very funny parts. Rock's character was a perfect addition to this franchise.
I highly recomend everyone to see this flick, in imax if necessary. Dont wait for the DVD or online print, this is a must-see-in-theater movie. Oh, and make sure to stay till the credits are over...becacue you will be shocked to see whats the next one will be about :)

All of the characters are from the previous movies.
Vince (the guy with the beard) is from the first, the tech guy(Ludacris) and the black guy(tyrese gibson) are from the 2nd one, The asian dude(han) is from the third, the biker girl and the two spanish guys from the 4th and the remaining three (diesel, brain, lettee) were in all of them except third.

Fast and the Furious: Tokoyo Dirft (3) actually hasn't taken place yet chronologically wise, its not really the main part of fast and furious franchise, more like a spin-off, it heavily features Han though(asian guy) ..and the second one is all about Brain O'Conner and Tyrese Gibson, it doesnt have Vin Deisel or anyone else from the 1st one.

storyline wise, here is the order of how these films go: 1st, 2nd,4th,5th,3rd...the last 2 and the 1st one have been the best so far. the other two werent so great :)

Has anyone watched Insidious yet?

I saw Insidious a couple weeks ago. I actually really enjoyed it. Horror movies are my favorite and there are very few movies that scare me much. This one actually made me jump a couple times. It has some classic 70s and 80s elements to it. Some people complained that the story is similar to ones done before, but I think it works well in this movie. There were also a couple scenes that were kind of dumb and made me laugh, but I think that goes along with all scary movies. IMO, it is one of the better newer scary movies.

Thanks for the little info! I did have an idea that most characters were from the other parts but in this they all sort of came together in Fast Five!

I'll be starting to watch it from the 1st part going to the 4th!

Unless am suggested to go in 4, 3, 2, 1

"Pierrepoint". It's a film about Britain's "last" hangman. Timothy Spall was brilliant in it. Seen him in a few films and imo is a very underrated actor.

Also saw "Bugsy Malone" a few weeks back, with my son. It's a cracking film and son wants a splurge gun now.

Thor

I'm a big fan of the Marvel character.. and i thought the movie was quite good.. worth a watch..

7/10

The Fighter - nothing special.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World - lol, enjoyable.

A Prop0het - excellent.

Yes, I really liked A Prophet as well. The last movie I watched was The Source Code....I did not get this movie at all...it requires you to think and I was in the mood of watching an action movie with no real storyline...o well if you liked Inception you should watch The Source Code, which has Jake Gyllenhaal in it.

I only watched it 'cos PPer Rana said it was good.

mental note - do the exact of opposite of what Rana says next time.

I wanna see A Prophet

To all those who watched it, did you download it? or bought the dvd?

Anyone seen Thank you? What's it like?

I've seen it! Didn't find it too bad was ok! First time seen Irfan Khan in a comedy and he was really good in it same goes for Sunil Shetty and to an extent Bobby too! Think I did write about it on here some time back do check it out!

Don´t go by Rana´s deception next time:46:. He made me watch 'Action Replayy' (2010) and I will never forgive him for that:boom:!!!

Thank you for the feed back. Will watch it when I get time :malik

Wacthed Thor Imax 3D - I enjoyed it, wasn't as cheesy as I was expecting. Also it the length was just right, didn't drag - definitely worth a watch

Though I felt the 3D was pointless really, looked cool at times BUT very gimmicky - would have been just as good a film without the 3D

Pulp Fiction - watched it again..

probably the best crime movie i had seen in my life
