^^ a must watch...but insanely violent Korean movie. Not for the light-hearted.

one classic I'd oddly never seen: Raging Bull... quality, r. enjoyed it. Can see why it's a classic and got its accolades made so long ago..

loved watching DeNiro in his prime... and a younger Jo Pesci too..

Eighties movie Clockwise starring John Cleese (of Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, Fish called Wanda fame). Hilarious.

pretty good and interesting concept... 7/10

You understood it? I was so lost...I thought I understood it until the ending (thought it was similar in idea to the TV show LOST and in particular, my favorite episode The Constant.

They might have had a good concept but I thought they didn't execute it properly. At least I got to see Jake Gyllenhaal's performance.

yea i understood it.. its type of movie..where the end is left up to viewers to decide of what way its gonna go..so i have my own theory..but i liked it

Stanley ka Dabba - It's an amazing movie.

It is written and directed by a guy called Amol Gupte who wrote and directed Taare Zameen Per. After he directed the entire shooting and worked a lot on editing while the shooting was going on. But, on the wrap up party of the film, he was told that Amir Khan who had produced the movie was also going to be the director. Amol Gupte did not have the status and power to confront Amir Khan over this and decided to pack his bags and leave immediately instead of acting as a mere adviser to Amir on a project that was scripted and shot by him. He was credited as a "scriptwriter" and "creative director" of the film even though he completely disassociated himself from it and never received any adulation due to the roaring success of that movie.

Funniest thing about the whole issue was that he never went to Amir Khan to ask him to act in Taare Zameen Per. He knew Amir Khan from his college days and only showed him to script to help him get a good Bollywood actor (Akshay Khanna) for the central role. Amir took the script, promised to produce it and effectively back-stabbed Amol Gupte.

However, he has come up with a movie, now, which is decidedly superior to Taare Zameen Per and is, quite simply, the best movie I've seen in a long long time. Also Amol was prudent enough to take up an important role himself (where he did a brilliant job) and took quality actors who don't have the stature to throw starry tantrums.

I hope, this movie doesn't miss out due to lack of publicity. If any movie deserves to be recommended through the word of mouth and be successful, it is this one. And what a way to respond to being kicked out of his own project by creating a better movie, all by himself.

Crank 2.

Crazy movie. Unique camera work and editing. One of the wierdest and random movies Ive ever seen. It was just.....different.

Not every ones cuppa tea, but I really liked the Crank series :) the 1st one especially....

just the pace of it, the character just goes completely nuts... movie's at a 100mph, fast paced... humour.... yeah, I was into Crank..

Armoured - Matt Dillon, Lawrence Fishburn... not sure this was the best use of 2 hrs.. surprised Lawrence took this role... he must be running out of offers...

"I am NOT thooose men...I am Salahuddin...SALAHUDDIN!"

"What does Jerusalem mean?"

"Nothing..............EVERYTHING!"

Saw movies are pointless tbh. Much more scarier movies are out there. Anyone seen Insidious yet?

Insideous, its scary lol had to cover half my eyes throughout the whole movie in the cinema

about 6.0-6.5/10 i'd say

Last weekend I watched "Fast & Furious Five". Probably about a 7.5. Same as the others. Lotsa action. Good to see The Rock acting in it.

Also watched "Arthur". An average romantic comedy.

On TV saw "AmericanEast". Interesting movie. Maybe a bit far fetched tho.

I watched Fast Five a few days ago. Garbage movie....

Probably the best movie I've seen recently was The Orphanage, a Spanish horror film. I would give it 9/10.

What are you guys on? there is a reason why the movie has already grossed over $4 million and is the biggest movie of 2011 so far (until Hangover2 is released :) ) The movie was great. I loved it

I just didn't see anything special about it. Nothing really separated it from your typical action films. Not only that, but Paul Walker's and Vin Diesel's acting was atrocious. Although, The Rock was surprisingly entertaining, and had some notable one-liners.

I'm probably going to watch Fast 5. I think I've seen every Fast & Furious movie made so far, I'm downright ashamed.

How was Thor btw folks?

The Rock was the best part of the movie. I agree it was nothing that special though but it wasn't bad either, looking forward to next one. Hopefully it'll be about cars and races again and not about 2 Dodge chargers doing unrealistic stuff :danish

watched Yamada: The samurai of Ayothaya good flick.

Tony Jaa style fighting + Samurai's = This film is the Shiznit :)

so stringing together some of his most out there performances makes him the worst ever?

Yes. And the fact that I have not seen a single Nicolas Cage movie where he was not terrible.

God of War.
Con Air.
Matchstick Men.
Gone in 60 Seconds.

off the top of my head.

And if someone thinks Nic Cage is terrible I feel sorry for them, Nic Cage one of the best ever

Nic Cage is pretty bad, I agree. Would not want to watch a movie if he's the lead.

Snake Eyes.
National Treasure.
Leaving Las Vegas.
City of Angels.
Face/Off.
Amos & Andrew.

Top movies, I don't think you've seen enough of his work.

I lol'd at 'National Treasure' and decided this is not an argument I want to go into.

Just wanna say I'm also a Nic Cage fan especially his way over the top performances. And how can you not like an actor who gets lines like "Put the bunny back in the box" :))
